Great rent and even better memories

Great tent!
We love this tent. It’s easy to set up and take down. It really only fits three people though. Wish it came with a rain fly but I was able to purchase one off amazon for cheap.

Don’t use in any type of rain.
Used this tent in a light rain for 5 hours. It was like we didn’t have any cover over us. We had water dripping on us all night, and woke up to a pool of water on the ground.

It’s awesome!
This is such a great tent!! It was sprinkling rain when we tested it out. The rain beaded up on the outside and didn’t get inside the tent.
I love that there are 2 large side windows and two small windows (each with their own zipper cover) on the door. There is a loop from the top of the tent to hang a light. There are two decent sized mesh pockets under the two big windows. There is also a vent at the top front of the tent that you can open and close.
This tent was SO easy and fast to set up - took 30 seconds. The take down was a little longer because of having to fit it back into its carrying case. But it still only took less than 5 mins.
Along with a carting case, it comes with ropes pre attached to the tent and also comes with stakes to secure it in the ground.
It says it’s a 4 person tent. But I’d say more like two adults with room or two adults and one kiddo and you’d still have room. You of course could have more people in there. It just depends on how much room each person wants.
This is pretty heavy so it’s definitely not a go-hiking-into-a-campsite type of tent.
Overall I highly recommend!!

Disappointing…not the Coleman Standard
I bought this tent on sale several months ago for a trip I had last weekend. Prior to the trip, I set it up, waterproofed the entire outside, and purchased the separate Coleman rainfly accessory (carrying case arrived with seams unraveling and broken zipper). We had light to moderate rain (off and on, nothing unordinary) the first night, and everything got completely wet. The walls of the tent were 100% saturated and had water runs all down the sides (very similar to some of the reviews below), ponding in low spots in the floor of the tent. The rainfly only helped minimally, as it doesn’t cover nearly as much surface area and side wall as a typical rainfly. Also, even using multiple people for setup and staking everything down very tightly, we were able to get all the slack out of the material, so the wind made it very loud as the sides flapped. This tent would be fine if there was no wind or rain, but ultimately I’m very disappointed in the quality of this product. It does not perform as Coleman has advertised, which generally isn’t the case - I’ve always had good results with their products until now. I’m an ‘unhappy camper’.

The Coleman 4-Person Cabin Camping Tent with Instant Setup (model SAP_2206916) has the following key specs: ★Exterior (and interior) peak height: 4 ft 11 in (59 in, or about 1.5 m) The rainfly is integrated and sits close to the same peak as the main tent&mdash;there&rsquo;s no separate tall outer fly&mdash;so the exterior height with the fly on remains 4 ft 11 in. ★Freestanding? Yes. The design uses pre‑attached telescoping poles that let the tent stand on its own once popped open, without needing to stake anything first.
