Best tent for those folks that are novice campers
This is the second 4man instant tent; that I have purchased. I have the other style as well; blue and white...I am a 43 year old scout mom. This tent is perfect. It goes up in nothing flat; lots of times we arrive to a camp out in the dark,...especially, in the winter. It is a real blessing to have shelter, in a few minutes. I don't even try to put it back in the bag. I bought a rolling barrel from Lowes; and I collapse this baby down and put it in the cart and roll it to the truck and it packs away so nicely this way! Rolling cart holds all of the tent goodies: ground cover, rain fly, stake bag, mini broom and pan, lantern and mallet. It holds up great in the weather; it rained on me all weekend once - not a drop inside the tent...other than the boys coming in and out ;o)! I normally use this for just myself - I love the space! We also have a Hooligan 3; this was okay for cubscouts - but, I needed to get off of the ground...I am getting too old to crawl inside a tent! The 4Man Instant makes it so much easier to change clothes! This is well worth the extra dollars and extra weight. I won't tent camp in anything else!

The Coleman 4-Person Cabin Camping Tent with Instant Setup (model SAP_2206916) has the following key specs: ★Exterior (and interior) peak height: 4 ft 11 in (59 in, or about 1.5 m) The rainfly is integrated and sits close to the same peak as the main tent&mdash;there&rsquo;s no separate tall outer fly&mdash;so the exterior height with the fly on remains 4 ft 11 in. ★Freestanding? Yes. The design uses pre‑attached telescoping poles that let the tent stand on its own once popped open, without needing to stake anything first. Of course, staking and guy-outs are still recommended for stability in wind.
