It's dark
Held up pretty good (did not collapse in 40 mph winds at Lake Powell, but not being able to close the mesh openings allows sand and cold to come in. It was also hot in the am where the fly didn't cover the tent because of the direct sun on the dark material. But it is definitely dark in the am to allow sleep.

Easiest set up ever!!
Love this tent!! We use this multiple times a year when we go camping and love how easy the set up is. Usually we struggle with tents being difficult to set up, or being flimsy when setup is done but this one is great! Lots of space inside, especially for just the two of us. Highly recommend!

Great weekend getaway tent!
I have always used Coleman tents, and this one did not disappoint! Perfect for a girls weekend camping trip. We had plenty of space for us to sleep and have additional room for some belongings. We had no issues with the tent being wet or dewy in the morning, and felt warm and cozy all night.

Poor customer service on a claim
I bought the tent for a Memorial Day outing with my wife. I chose Coleman because that’s all we used as a kid. I still use my Coleman stove and lanterns I’ve had for 30+ years. If I don’t get the resolution that I believe I’m deserving, I’ll make sure that everyone knows about my experience.

Missing part, otherwise great tent
The tent itself is great. It is what I expect from Coleman. However, the tarp that come on top is missing from mine. I'm really disappointed. And I can't seem to find any replacement ones. Otherwise, the size and price are good. I put it together myself in 5-10 minutes.

Very affordable and appears to be high quality
I recently purchased and found the tent to be very affordable and roomy. Although I haven't had a chance to put it to practical use yet, my initial observations are that the tent is of higher quality than the price would imply. Seems to be well made and practical.

Don't bother
Used about 8 times, the dark technology coating started coming off after the third time. The last time we used it in a rainstorm, it leaked. We threw it away at the campgrounds. I even coated it the first time in waterproofing spray. Very disappointed.

Dark Room stays cool!
I have used a coleman 4 person tent for many years, but upgrading to the Dark Room version made a huge difference in keeping the temperature down, especially in the summer months. As advertised on the package: great for sleeping in at festivals.

well worth the $$$
as soon as i got it and put it together i doused it with the water hose for 15 minutes.....as i expected from a Coleman.....Not 1 Leak....am very satisfied with the tent, i packed it up and put it away until ill need it for my next excursion

Dark yes. Poles useless
It is a quality tent but the poles broke on the first use. Coleman should actually test their products so people don't end up stranded with no shelter. $180 ought to include decent poles. No repair or substitutions work. Do not recommend

Green Cover Ripped. Can't Find Replacement Cover
The seam on both sides of the green cover ripped all along each side, so now there's nothing keeping the sides out, or from flapping around (the attached string from the cover to the ground usually keeps it pulled out).

Good tent, but if I were rating it on the ability it has to darken the interior, I would give it two stars, I didn’t notice it to be all that much darker than my other Coleman that is not a sun dome dark room tent.

Great tent for the beach and camping…
I took this to a beach in New Jersey… it kept the sun out and inside was at Five degrees cooler then the outside… we had enough room to keep our cooler and food in it… it strong enough to stand up to some the wind…

Easy to use, beginner friendly
Easy to setup and quite roomy. Because of the dark color it makes it cooler in the sun. Seems durable and held up with moderate winds and rain. Overall good for casual camping and people who want a low fuss setup.

The Coleman Skydome 4-Person Camping Tent with Dar
I recently started using the Skydome 4-Person Camping Tent with Dark Room Technology and brought it with me on a few trips to Yosemite National. Park, and it honestly turned out to be a really solid tent. One of the first things! noticed was how easy it was to set up - it only took me a few minutes thanks to the pre-attached poles, which is great when you're trying to get camp ready before it gets dark. The Dark Room feature is actually really nice too, especially in Yosemite where the sun comes up early, because it blocks a lot of the sunlight and keeps the inside cooler so you can sleep a little longer in the morning. The tent is listed as a 4-person tent, but I'd say it's most comfortable for two or three people if you also have gear inside. I also liked that it has good airflow with the windows and vents, and when we had some light rain it kept everything dry with no leaks. Overall it packs down easily, feels durable, and for the price it's a great tent if you're doing weekend camping trips or heading out to places like Yosemite and want something simple, reliable, and easy to use

Tent had a tear
The tent had a tear, this happens. When I took the tent back they didn’t have it anymore. I was really bummed. The tent was easy to set up and looked great. I would definitely buy again.

Ideal and Durable Quality Material

I love this tent. With other tents, I'm actually up right at dawn due to the light. This tent lets me sleep until 730 AM EST. Very easy to setup with the pre-attached poles.
