We are a family of six, two adults and four small children and this tent has been great for us. It is not heavy, easy to transport and easy to set up. The kids had a blast helping daddy set up the tent and ‘exploring’ their new room. The dark room feature is great, and definitely helped them go to sleep faster. Getting it back in the bag was a bit harder, tiny hands helping, but after figure it out, we got it put away.
You can fit several air mattresses in this tent, comfortably and have room for bags. The stitching was great and hopefully will last a long time. We cannot wait to use it for our future adventures.

This was for an upcoming family camping trip. We set it up in the backyard first to so it would be familiar. Easy to set up. Directions were clear. The tent itself seems durable. There are no windows per say. Instead there are screen openings which are somewhat protected by the overhead cover thus allowing for constant airflow. The darkening technology keeps the light out. Says sleeps 6 but it would really only fit 3 older kids or 2 to 3 adults comfortably.

Easy to put up and take down!
We love our new Dark Room Skydome Camping Tent. Everything came in an easy to carry bag and the instructions are sewn into the bag so you will never lose them! It was very easy to assemble. I couldn't believe that it was up and ready in about 7 minutes. It was nice and roomy and I was able to stand up inside the tent. It was hot outside and I definitely felt the Dark Room technology inside. Our tent was cooler inside which us a big change from other tents. I do feel like it could have had a bit more ventilation inside, maybe more windows to open. It was comfortable to sleep through the entire night. Zipper is easy to zip and un zip without getting stuck. Taking dow the tent was just as easy! My family and I recommend the Dark Room Skydome Camping Tent, you will be pleased!

Do not buy this tent
I received this tent as a Christmas present (2021) from my kids. The 2nd time I used it was in Palo Duro Canyon and 80 mph winds snapped the poles. This was a two-week camping trip and this was my first stop. When I got to Colorado Springs, I bought the same tent as there were no replacement parts. When I got to Canyonlands National Park and set up my tent the winds were maybe 35 and it bent the same pole. It held for the rest of my trip, but that pole will not last long. I'm an avid camper and will no longer buy Coleman products. 2 tents in 6 months to the tune of over $400 is not my idea of durable. I get 80mph but 35mph. Not again.

Awesome Tent!
This Coleman 6-Person Dark Room Skydome Tent has awesome features that are very useful and make camping a lot more comfortable! The dark room feature blocks 90% of sunlight and reduces heat inside and the height has an extra 20% at top so easier to stand. The Weathertec system is designed to withstand storms and high wind so not as easy to blow away! There are attached poles which makes it so simple to set up, within minutes! Also the door opening is wider than standard to easily move things in and out. I’m really impressed with this tent and plan on camping with it for a long time!

Used twice, multiple tears
I just set this tent up for the second time and notice multiple small tears, Velcro strips coming up, and now the rain fly is torn from the wind at the seam and I haven’t even been here a night. Two of the poles bent. Its not like this tent is cheap, I expected to get more than one use out of it.
My mom and dad have had a tent for 23+ years that is twice this size and it’s held up substantially better.

Perfect for our family!
We absolutely love our Coleman Dark Room Skydome camping tent! It was so easy to set up. It is very well made It comes with a carrying bag which is nice, we also like that the poles to this tent stay attached and had a little Velcro strap that keeps them all together, there is a nylon cover for the top of the the tent to prevent rain from entering. It also provides adequate room for up to 6 people to sleep comfortable It holds a big queen size air mattress easily and it stays pretty dark. I would definitely recommend it to those who are looking for space and comfort.

Awesome tent!
I recently tried the Coleman 6 person Dark Room Skydome Camping Tent and it is amazing! This tent is huge! We can easily and comfortably fit two adults and three preteen kids inside. We also placed a blow up queen sized mattress inside to test and it still had plenty of room to move around. I love how easy the tent was to set up. The poles are built into the tent so no worrying about losing one in between uses. I also really loved the dark room feature. Once all zippers are closed it is pitch black inside, no light gets in at all. The tent is also very easy to disassemble and in spite of how large the tent is is very compact and easy to store. The quality of this tent is really great and I know we have a blast using it for quite some time! I would highly recommend this tent!

From my experience I can't find any evidence of waterproofing. Mine has leaked since day one, so I just put a tarp over it.
