Rated 4 out of 5 by LyricaLady from A Lot Cooler! This is a great little tent! I would have given it 5 stars if it didnt need a repair right out of the package. One of the corner straps where you put a tent stake was not sewn in right. It's not a huge deal if you know how to sew like me, but I don't like having to fix a brand new item. Besides that flaw this tent is great. The entire top of the tent is screen, if you want to leave the rainguard off you can get a good breeze going in there. Once you put the rainguard on, it is pitch black inside. It really does keep it cooler inside though. I put this tent up in the evening when it was 80 degrees, the tent stayed cool all night even with the front window flap open. There was zero condensation on the inside of the tent in the morning, and it is very humid where I live. That is a huge plus for me because I have never had a tent that didnt get soggy overnight. This tent is very roomy inside, it also has a multipocket flap on the inside for storing things in. It also has a little hammock for the ceiling for storing a light or some snacks. The setup is very easy, I wouldnt say 5 minutes, maybe more like 15. Although I may be able to put it up faster the next time I have to. All in all I think this is a great tent with nice innovations.

Pole connections are rusty and corroded. The material they use isn't up to snuff and clearly not tested or they don't care. If they can't hold up in a box in a warehouse without starting to rot out, they definitely won't withstand the elements.

Setting it up was a breeze - no wrestling with poles or complicated instructions. Just pop it up, and you’re good to go. And let me tell you, there’s plenty of room inside. I could stretch out comfortably without feeling cramped, thanks to its tall center height. What really impressed me was its durability. It held up like a champ against the elements - rain, wind, you name it. I felt safe and snug inside, knowing it could handle whatever nature threw at it.

Spacious inside – think family mansion for campers! ⛺️ Plus, darkroom tech blocks out sun, perfect for late sleepers and midday naps. But beware, it gets a bit stuffy on warm nights! Rainy days? No worries! This tent's got weatherproof seams and a strong frame. It's not the lightest, but for car camping, it's a breeze. And sure, there's no fancy vestibule, but pockets and overhead storage keep things organized. Overall, I love it for family trips and group adventures. Just pop it up, relax in the darkness, and let Mother Nature do her thing. 4 stars, bonus point for easy setup! + 1

This tent felt like it wouldnt withstand anymore wind then that. I am very disappointed as coleman USED to make good tents.

We camped on Vancouver island in July 2022 and the fly kept the tent dark and cool so we could sleep in…..like until 10am! CONS - The 2 poles are permanently attached to the tent, this makes it tricky to get folded up and into the carry bag. - The outside material on the door will jam in the zipper. Align the zippers where the 2 flaps meet and this seems to help with not getting the zippers stuck. - Hard solo setup Enough room for a single cot and double byob bed. We stashed our gear in a smaller backpacking tent when setup for longer than 1 night. Can’t do a 4.5 star rating, I feel over time the Zipper will break due to catching in the door flap material.

On the second camping trip, we took it out of the bag and one of the necessary clips on the back leg that attaches the pole to the tent was broken. Why these important connectors are made of plastic is beyond me. Currently sitting in the tent with the rain fly off because it is windy and the corner pole is jerryrigged and we are just praying it will make it through a second night. Beyond disappointed at this expensive price point. Things shouldn't break after one use.

It was very easy to put up and did not take long at all. Very durable and the dark room technology is definitely there(you really get darkness). We noticed the ability to expand the bag to replace the tent when not in use, a great feature by the way!! The overhead storage and side pockets are nice. Overall a great tent, and we are looking forward to our next trip out with it!!

The tent was roomier then expected for me and my family of 5. I valued the dark room feature that blocked the brightness in the morning, providing a cooler and comfortable sleep. The tent was water proof and I didn't have any issues so far I used this twice for a few camping trips. If I had one recommendation it would be to go get yourself a Coleman dark room 6 person tent.

It took a couple of minutes longer than 5minutes but that's all. I think for me one of the greatest features of this tent is that it blocks the sunlight out. I love to sleep in late when I go camping. I also loved the side walls, lots of room to stand up and move around.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Chad Ford from Affordable but poles snapped second set uo So after 5 emails to Coleman, asking to purchase replacement poles (11 sections), not the "kit" (4sections). I keep getting the same run around from the same person! Rather than design something that is "throw away" when pole is snapped, gone (because who wants to bring home a damaged pole. When I get home I will just order a new pole. BOY WAS I WRONG!! This is a great tent because of the dark room technology, but the poles themselves aren't the issue it's the tiny elastic used inside that snaps, and even if you did get the "fixer kit" you cannot remove the end caps to repair... COLEMAN if you stand behind your product, make parts available for replacement, and easier service to so call repair your product!!

It was a little more difficult to put together than what was advertised. It took almost a half hour to get ot together not the five minutes it said it would. The dark room feature was fantastic! Hoping customer service will work with us... still waiting to hear back.

It set up super easy, instructions were easy peasy. And it actually sleeps 6 people. I'm loving the dark Skydome cover so we can sleep later and not wake as soon as the sun rises. Very nicely made.

We struggled a bit with clipping the center clips and putting on the rainfly, but that was mostly because we're both around 5'7". The size is also great — it comfortably fits two people with a double sleeping pad, all our gear, and still leaves room to move around! Definitely recommend it if you want to sleep in a bit on your trip. The only thing that would make this tent better is a few more interior pockets and maybe a second window for added ventilation. Other than that, we love it!

After buying few months left and we never got to test our tent but we trusted the brand. On the day of our camping trip we set up the tent it was good… but as rain started it started leaking the water from all four corners and from center … because of that our first camping experience turned into nightmare. Tried to contact customer care but they said they couldn’t help in this. Worst experience ever. Please check your tent guys after buying it.

My most recent one is the Skydome six person tent, and overall I really enjoy it. It is a nice quality tent that is fairly easy to set up, and it has a great deal of headroom inside. I only have two complaints about it, one of which is that I wish that the rain fly did go all the way to the ground, and the other complaint is that I wish that it had more windows rather than just the window in the tent. Either way though, it's still a great tent for car camping.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Delani from Not for any season I’m actually annoyed enough to write a review. So this tent has a rain fly, any material under the rain fly is mesh, so it is super cold at night. We were camping last week in 90° weather, so we were frying in the day (because it retains the heat l) and we’re freezing at night because you’re in a covered patio rather than a tent. The door is also poorly designed. The zipper keeps getting caught and there isn’t a tie back for it or screen. You have a little triangle pocket to stuff it into. It also isn’t an easy 5 min put together as indicates. I’ve been camping my whole life and this was really fiddly to put together. The only plus was the dark design, which really worked well. My toddler napped in the day quite peacefully. Overall, it sucks though. Really poor for a Coleman and not worth the money.

My family used to go camping all the time when I was growing up and I remember the Coleman tent we had was so durable with plenty of room for a family of 5. This tent offers the same durable, spacious quality but the new darkroom technology is definitely a game changer and something I would have appreciated even as a kid. The pre-attached poles make this tent quick and easy to setup which is another thing I can appreciate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HL PDX from Great family tent - roomy, easy to set up, and dry We've used this tent multiple times, from backyard camping to a weekend in PNW rainstorms and really appreciate its durability and ease of use. Keeping the sun out hasn't been a problem so I can't speak to that element of the Dark Room coverage, but we just got out of a weekend of coast rain and the interior of the tent stayed very dry. It was windy and I was worried about coverage on the side, but the fly held up excellently. It can easily fit an inflatable queen mattress, a Pack n Play, and another sleeping pad space with some room to spare!

Extremely easy set up in less than 5 minutes. Really awesome dark canopy which made it so dark in morning and that was great. We had great time and our kids didn't want to put it away when campout was done. The take down i swear was faster than putting up. A+++

The "Dark Room" technology is incredible; it really blocks out most of the sunlight, which is perfect if you want to sleep in past sunrise. The size is very generous, providing plenty of comfort for a group or family. The instructions are clear, making the setup much faster than traditional tents. I also noticed the seams are very well-reinforced, and it offers great storage pockets inside. It’s a sturdy, high-quality tent that makes outdoor stays much more enjoyable

This was the best purchase I've me in a long time! The room in it is beyond words! It's 6 foot tall in the middle and can sleep 6. It was so easy to set up and take down. There was plenty of room for our whole family and it's so durable. It even has a cover for rain and you can tie it down in case the weather gets bad. My children and my basset hound had the absolute best time camping and because this tent was so durable and easy to set up and take down, we had lots of time to enjoy our little vacation. We have decided to take another camping trip soon and can't wait to use it again. My son has some health issues and this tent has Dark Room Technology which blocks 90% of the sunlight and reduces heat in the tent, which makes it better for people that have issues with the heat. This works amazingly too, because my son stayed cool and we were able to enjoy our trip because of this. It's also been designed and tested for storm conditions, which helps me breath much easier knowing we are safe. The amount of room in this tent is unlike any tent I have ever seen. The carrying bag made it so easy to take along, the wide door design made it easier to get in and out of, the storage pockets gave us room to put stuff out of the way, and the detachable rainfly gave me peace of mind. I felt so safe and secure and could focus on my trip and having fun with the kids knowing we chose this tent! We love it!

It does great at reducing the sunlight that gets in during the day and has plenty of room. I enjoy the wider door and the near vertical walls, makes it easier to get in and out of, and more spacious.

The new design is poor as you don’t have option for back window; important for airflow. Also new design has tent poles attached to tent; I found this difficult to manage. Bottom line Colman build your tents with better zippers; cost to do so would be minimal but permit tent to be used for more seasons… the new design tent does appear to have a better zipper than my original; time will tell…

I have pictures of what looks to be cuts all in the rain cover. Every corner leaks! I had a Ozark trail tent that I paid 35 dollars for and that's what I would buy before anyone else invest their money on this piece of crap tent
