Rated 1 out of 5 by iv0j74 from Will not recomend We got this tent for a trip this summer. We chose it amongst other tents and makes for the quality and durability Colemans are known. We have used other Colemans products before and in fact we are still using ones bought years ago and they are still holding. Unfortunately we had a big disappointment putting together this tent on a very light wind,( under 10 m.p.h) the tent bended and felt weak although this is advertised to withstand winds up to 35mph( IMPOSSIBLE). Members from from our camp. community suggested there is structurally something wrong with it, may be poles are too thin for that tent. Anyway, luckily we had a backup ten which we used for the rest of the trip. We have now ended up with a brand new tent worth £170, which will never leave our garage. VERY Disappointed

I will say I am excited to try with my nieces and introduce them to camping and trust the Coleman brand to produce a solid product! Darkroom feature will be helpful in getting them used to our door life. Plus, a roomy 6 person tent makes this great for not only camping but why outdoor festival that you spend the night at. I'll try and update this in the summer when this gets put to good use!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Amazing tent I got the 6-Person Dark Room™ Skydome™ Camping Tent, Blue for a family camping trip. My family of 4 loved this tent. The removable top is amazing. If you have clear skies and remove the top it is like sleeping under the stars without worrying about mosquitoes, other bugs and critters. With the top on and strapped down correctly the dark room effect is pretty awesome. We were able to sleep in a little later than normal due to the darkness of the tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by juliak163 from impressed we took this tent out camping over this past weekend. it is very spacious, we had a queen size inflatable mattress in there with room to spare. it’s also quite tall, so my fiancé can stand upright in the middle. set up is super easy and fast. the poles are attached to the tent, making setting up and breaking down very quick. it was raining on our camping trip and the rain fly kept us dry, no leaking. it truly is incredibly dark in there with the rain fly on. its nice not having the sun blast you in the face as soon as it rises, and it’s good for keeping cool in the day. i do wish there was a window that could be opened on the rain fly, instead of having to take it completely on and off for sunlight. i also wish there were more interior pockets for storage. but in general, great tent for weekend trips!

Rated 1 out of 5 by DMAofGR from Very Sad. My bad. I bought this tent and had high hopes. Getting older I now car camp and thankfully also purchased a cot. I am glad I did because I am sure it saved me from drowning (just joking). This tent is not seam sealed and the fly is not large enough to protect the sides in a rainstorm. It has a bathtub floor. During my first night I had that rainstorm. The inadequate fly allowed the rain to run down the sides of the tent that did not have sealed seams. It leaked so badly that the bathtub floor did indeed act as a bathtub and allowed all of the rain to gather inside of the tent. I picked up my gear and placed it on my cot. The next morning, I had to literally bail the tent out. I have since purchased 3rd party seam sealer and applied it twice but am still hesitant to use this tent in any inclement weather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by missl14 from Spacious, easy to set up, but hard to put back in bag We set this up outside on our patio for a trial run. It really was a snap to set up, because the poles are sewn into the tent. But by the same token, it actually made it really difficult to get back into the bag! The tent itself is very spacious, which my tall husband quite enjoyed. The wind was really whipping the canvas outside when we set it up, so I am a little worried the height may work against it, and it won’t withstand inclement weather. We shall see!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Go Go from AWESOME TENT I don't have any experiences in camping. This is a new world for our family. I was impressed the quality and durability thus far. Easy setup. I only thing was the main Body Poles were found rusty and dirty on delivery suspecting that it was opened and used by priored customer. Reached out to customer service and in the process of getting replacement. Overall, I really like this tent and love the dark room technology. Hopefully it will hold up over time.

We purchased 20 other Coleman Tents that have a power cord zippered slot in the corner. We though when we ordered these 20 tents they were the same. They are not. These tents have all mosquito netting on the top portion of the tent walls AND they leak in water really bad EVEN WITH NO RAIN AND JUST DEW. The water drips from the canopy and right into tent since the top is all mosquito netting. This dripping wakes the kids up every morning at around 6 AM and their pillows and blankets get wet. We were really happy and are really happy with the original 20 we purchased. These last 20 came without a retail box or labeling just in a cardboard brown box and were shipped from Bangladesh, India. Such a disappointment. We would like to return these additional 20 and obtain the correct tents as pictured from Coleman.

I had to YouTube others doing it. It is still not clear as I saw three different ways. I tried them all and cannot get it back in the bag. This is coming from someone who can always get a tent or air mattress back in the bag with room to spare. I’m frustrated with the size of the bag and not being able to pack it securely.

Darkroom technology really works well HOWEVER one of the fiberglass poles snapped right at the tent's apex after a night of mild but steady winds. This is the first tent we've purchased with 'pre-attached poles' and I will not be buying this style again. The spot where the poles connect doesn't allow enough flex for poles to withstand wind and this feels like the reason one snapped.

It is a five minute set up so easy that my child did it for me it is huge. The tent is quite large definitely able to fit six person. It is a dome in a dark room so high ceilings. Plenty of space definitely dark blocks out 90% of the sunlight verified highly recommend Coleman is a great brand, I can imagine this lasting as a lifetime of camping trips

It’s pretty big honestly and it said it could fit two queen beds inside of it but I didn’t believe it until I set it up! I like how dark it keeps it inside the tent as well makes it easier to sleep in! We will continue using this tent for years to come! Can’t wait for our next camping trip! *I was given this product for free in exchange for an honest review**

Rated 2 out of 5 by gretch28 from Did not withstand 20mph winds… I’ve always raved about my 4 person dark room tent I’ve had since 2017 and this summer I decided to update to a 6 person to have a little more room. First trip in it there was a wind storm that had 20mph winds and our pole snapped and tore through the rain fly. We were severely disappointed as it is advertised to withstand up to 35mph winds. Although I did love the 4 person tent, I was very disappointed in the 6 person tent.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Beware from The perfect throwaway tent I've only used his tint once and it was really simple to put together and I absolutely loved it. However when I went to take it down I did hear one of the legs crack but didn't think much about it and I just folded up and put it back in the back. Just took it out for my second time using it and when I went to put it together the leg is broken and the entire tent is now unusable. Paid almost $200 and now I have nothing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Aj61 from It's OK nothing like a white duck canvas bell tent I used this Colman tent instead of my white duck canvas bell tent..Big mistake in Oklahoma we have high straight line winds that come out of nowhere well it happened 80 mile an hour straight line winds it destroyed the tent..my white duck canvas bell tent has already proved its self against winds like this more than once..the Coleman tent is nice but can not handle Oklahoma weather

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great starter tent My husband thought this was a great starter tent. My 12 year old is in boyscouts and they camp out pretty often and he really enjoys the tent. For the 2 of them the tent is very comfortable. It does claim to be a 6 person tent but if you need room or have larger than average people this would be better for 3 or 4 max. They love that it's tall enough that he can walk around in, which is hard because he's 6 ft tall. It was pretty easy and quick to assemble with common sense, which is helpful because the directions attached to the bag were not very good. It didn't take long at all. Unfortunately due to the cold in the northeast we have not taken it outside to test the elements yet but i don't see it being a big problem. There are pouches inside to keep your items organized and a clip to attach a light to which he really loved too. Zips seamlessly and it does keep pretty dark which makes for better sleeping.

I just wish to have one improvement here and that's just me: sometimes I put the upper tarp on the wrong side, it would be better if we could have a sign that helps to figure out what side goes on the front and the back of the tent.

I went in there in the morning it was so dark so I do have to say it does keep the light out super easy to put up for both of us of course we are fairly small women. The only issue is the fact that no Coleman tent I have owned goes back into the tent bag in came in. But yourself your own bigger tent bag.

The small size made it easy to transport, which is especially important when there is limited space in the car. The overall quality of the tent is acceptable, a little flimsy but not bad for usage every now and then. It took me longer than 5 minutes to figure out how to set up.

It's weatherproof and stays fairly dark which is great for a sensitive sleeper like myself. Only cons are it's bulky and difficult to put back in the bag, which are both givens for a 6-person tent. I look forward to years of using this tent!

The doorway is larger than other tents which makes it easier to get bigger items in and out. It's also really spacious inside! I can't wait to use this tent when we go camping! Will add a picture later

The dark room tech is a double edged sword... Nice when people are walking around n with flashlights. But it's bad when you're trying to wake up in the morning. Seems decently waterproof.

Very spacious had plenty of room for everyone. Everyone kept us clean and dry. It was warmer during the day and kept us cool and at night it was cooler and it kept us warm. Very insulated!!

First night, it got windy- about 20mph gusts...nothing sustained. before i could even get in to sleep, the wind blew it over and the "corner bend" piece bent all the way over. i had to duck tape it to hold the remaining 3 nights. UGH!!!!!!

Looks like a bad sewing job. Of course it was after the warranty expired so Coleman won't do anything about it. I love how dark the tent is, but the quality is lacking.
