Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good camping tent This Coleman 6-Person Dark Room Sundome Tent is amazing, especially with its dark room technology, unfortunately is not the best material used by Coleman. Unpacking the tent was a breeze, the setup takes sometime so make sure you have time set aside so that everything is secured and on its place. I setup the tent while camping in the mountains of Pennsylvania and it rained buckets, the tent did 90% of the work by keeping the water and everything else dry in the inside, but eventually water began to zip in. Again, I believe is because the material used is not up to par vs. other Coleman gear I own. The dark technology with that comes with this Coleman 6-Person Dark Room Sundome Tent is amazing, blocks at least 90% fo the sunlight while reducing the temperature inside the tent. Cooler temperatures inside the tent is a winner for me. When I read that this tent could fit up to 2 queen size mattresses, I didn't believe it, but now I do. We took 2 queen air mattresses that fit to perfection and still had plenty of room in between. The tent also withstood the winds just like a pro. Overall, I highly recommend this tent for a short camping trip and good weather. I gave it 4 stars because the water zipping in, but again, if Coleman used a more durable and higher quality waterproof material this tent would have received 5 stars from me. Great tent, price is a bit high, but competitive among other brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality! This tent is absolutely the most durable, high quality tent I've ever owned. I dont camp often, but when I do I always feel like I should have a better tent. Well here it is! The set up was almost as easy as packaging describes. It says it's a "10 minute set up", it took me about 15 minutes. Not that it was overly complicated, I'm just not very good at these kinds of things! Once set up, it's very sturdy and doesnt feel wobbly or uneven at all. Usually when you buy a tent, it's almost like buying a wedding dress. You wear a size 10 really, but you end up buying an 18 because the sizing is way off. Same with tents. They say "sleeps 6 people", but there's no way you will get more than 3 people in that tent. Lol This tent is accurately described as a 6 person tent. I live in Minnesota and when I got the tent it was snowing heavily so I decided to set up my tent inside. I moved the furniture in my living room and this tent was much larger than I thought it would be. My family of 3 had tons of room to stretch out inside the tent. To test the blackout feature, I opened all the blinds/curtains before bed and we slept in the tent. There was almost no sunlight shining through the tent when I woke up. I could only see a shimmer at a certain angle. So it is a true black out tent! The only downside to this tent is that it is quite heavy. It packs away nicely in the bag, butnif you were taking this hiking or would be walking very far, you may not appreciate the weight. Overall, very good quality and a great tent for those who want the blackout option.

The PROS and CONS of this new Coleman Darkroom 6 man tent would be its *TWO windows are ACROSS FROM ONE ANOTHER which helped to increase air flow A LOT to help keep us much cooler than the one window ones, plus it keeps risk of moldy smell out! *Its OWN CONVENIENT E-PORT FEATURE so you can bring in power if you DESIRE. *(pro and con ) BLACK CARRYING BAG, this appeared nice, every thing was packed into it great but trying to get it BACK in it YOURSELF, I gave up and put the tent in a trash bag.. CONS* Holes In Corner Seams allowing for leakage  * Rain fly failed miserably * Frame Does not hold up to even 20 mph winds.let alone 25! *Only one hanging pocket *Tent stakes and poles are both made from such poor construction. ** My family was so excited to try out our new tent so we packed up and headed down to our favorite camping spot. Putting this tent up is a breeze, took less than10 minutes. The bag it comes in is a added bonus, though the we noticed right off that this "new Coleman" didnt SEEM to be made from the same GREAT materials as our previously bought "Coleman" tents are., This tents plastic stakes and poles especially seemed very flimsy. Temps. were in the high 70s during that first day our kids seemed quite happy and cool playing inside, so the darkness effect seemed to help! It was towards evening when winds began to pick up and a terrible rain storm hit our camp ground we ALL became MISERABLE REAL FAST! Water began leaking along TWO of the upper corner seams. Also as the wind was blowing it literally felt as if our tent was going to come APART! I googled the weather for the wind sp. at that moment and it was only 20mp.but once the storm past one of our poles was literally bent .We PITCHED the tent IN THE TRASH 30 min.after the storm,unfortunately having to waste a lot of money on a hotel that night until my husband bought a new tent the next day( different brand ).This tent does not in ANY WAY WHATSOEVER hold with Coleman's lasting QUALITY, INTEGRITY of WELL MADE PRODUCTS I will NOT be recommending this particular tent to friends and family.
