Clip missing, extreme leakage
I own this instant tent so I bought another for my son, xmas 2019. First time using Sept 2021, clip missing on top causing top to sag a bit. Set up at home to clean after using, rained overnight, entire tent leaked causing a big puddle to form.

Good with quick set-up
Pretty much as described. Easy set up. Obviously needs rain fly, but an old one or a tarp will do. Suggest a tarp under for "floor" wear. A little heavy, but again, as described. Tent bag is expandable to allow for use which is very good..

First time I set up my team was with my son and I was surprised we did it under a minute. The second time I was by my self and still got it up in under a minute. Coleman put a lot of thought in this one, I personally would prefer a center door.

Raincoat required
This tent is supposed to be weathertec and unfortunately, even the lightest rain results in the roof leaking into the inside of the tent. We're homeless and saved up for quite some time to buy this tent and we were very disappointed and wet!

Leaks horribly!
We just camped with this tent on RAGBRAI, and it leaked like a sieve, even with the optional "rainfly" attached. We had inches of water in our tent. A disaster and very frustrating. My team members did not have water in their tents. Run away!

Easy set-up and durable
Coleman 6-Person Instant Cabin was easy to set up quickly. The tent accommodated up to six people comfortably. I liked that it was durable especially during windy conditions while camping. The tent was simple to disassemble and store away.

Needs extra tent stake point on sides
Easy up and down, very stable in wind. Slightly wet floor during rain storm. There is not a middle secure point on base for tent stake on sides, only on front and back. This makes sides sloppy and not taught. Allows rain to seep in seems.

Easy to use!!
This tent is huge!! It was so easy to use to and put up. I was able to put the tent up on my own in about a minute. Can definitely comfortably fit 6 people it’s so big and tall people friendly. Definitely need to plan a camping trip soon.

2nd one we've bought...the first one was used liked crazy and finally had to be replaced.
Set up is a breeze. Open up, extend poles, stake in the ground, attach the rainfly (sold separately).
Taking down is pretty easy as well.

Easiest to set up and a Durable tent.
This is my second time buying this tent.
The first one lasted 10 years! We are always the first ones to have our tent up when we camp with other families. It’s spacious and has the necessary storage pockets inside, and wide windows.

Coleman makes customer pay for return shipping!!
Too big, would prefer the 4p one but impossible to get back into carry bag (why can’t it be bigger) and return shipping is almost $100 (the customer has to pay it). Should’ve ordered it off Amazon instead of from Coleman directly!!!

Looks nicely made
Being winter, I haven’t gotten the chance to try this tent. Looking at the parts, it looks like it is very well made. The tent fabric is thick and it is large. I can’t wait to go to the lake this summer and use this tent to camp.

Goldilocks and the 3 Tents
They always have the 4 or 8 person tents on sale but never the 6.. jumped on the sale. 4p isn't enough space for my air mattress and 8p is overkill for just me, still doable tho. Going to love using this thing this summer. Thanks

$280 it is good material but the problems started with Leaks from the top water pools water leaks from the tape along the screens zipper broke (bent) zipper teeth at the top are not attaching its agood tent just those problems

Great Tent!
This instant cabin is amazing. You can set it up in 60 seconds. I was able to fit a queen size bed comfortable. It definitely blocks alot of light. Which is a plus for me. It is comfortable to stand up in and easy to assemble.

This 6 person tent was very easy to set up. It is very roomy. Love that you don’t have to put any posts together through the tent itself. The outside fabric is very sturdy and heavy. Doesn’t seem that it would rip easily.

Great Tent for Beginners!
I feel this is a great starter tent and is roomy enough for my family of 4 but would be very cramped with 6 people as it’s advertised. I also don’t think this would do well in rain or wind due to how thin the material is.

Received my tent, instructions say you need two people to assemble the first time. I put it up by myself in three minutes!!! Incrediblely easy, I gave 4 stars because, I haven't used it yet. But WOW, so easy to put up.

Very easy set up but does not do well in the rain. Even after reading the other reviews that stated the same I still bought it and thought no way a Coleman tent would leak like that.....well, it leaked like a sieve.

4 nights boondock camping in Moab in mid October. The set up and tear down is so fast and easy. I am glad I bought this instead of a roof top tent. More room and setup and tear down time isn’t much more than a RTT.

Best Tent Hands Down!
I used this for the first time during Fourth of July for a whole week of camping. Am extremely happy with it, it sets up quickly, has plenty of area as well as head room, and provided shade as well as moisture repellant during some light rain. Though for six people, it was only my wife and I using it on this trip and we were able to put in out queen size cot system inside with plenty of room to spare to move around and hold additional supplies and clothing. Coleman has always made great camping products, and this was the first time I have owned one of their tents in over 30 years. The quality of construction is excellent, with strong stitching and high grade zippers for the door and windows. The poles even seem to be stronger then those usually seen in a pop up, as I have had others where the poles bust with minimal stress. Looking forward to many years of enjoyable camping trips with this tent. As a note, I always add additional waterproofing after my first use, and place an outdoor carpet inside for added comfort and to prevent early deterioration of the floor.

It's ok
Unfortunately one of my poles came broken on the end. And you most definitely need a rain fly or tarp. The sides sweat and the seams leak. I will have to water proof this tent to be able to use for further camping.

Can’t wait to use this when I go camping
I tested out the tent in my backyard and it was very easy to use! You can really set it up in minutes and it is quite large! My camping experience will be a lot more comfy with this thing and it’s very portable!

Even a LOL can do it!
The engineering of this tent is absolutely amazing. I am a little (5'1") old (77) lady, and I was able to put it up by myself in about 3 minutes. Taking it down took about the same time. Wonderful. Thank you!

Great tent
I have used this multiple times for camping. My boyfriend and I put a queen size air mattress and it fits perfectly with some extra room on the ride. I will also say that it is great at keep water out!

Thank you for contacting Coleman, the Outdoor Company. We understand that you want to know how much liquid seam sealer is required to put in the seam of Coleman 6-Person Instant Cabin. We would appreciate the opportunity to check on your inquiry. Please be advised that the waterproofing of a tent usually becomes necessary after a few years of using it. If your tent is new and has not been exposed to a lot of UV rays, you should not have to waterproof it! When setting up your new tent, please be sure to stake the tent out well, use all your guy lines and all the Velcro straps when you put on the rain fly. Those few things are critical when it comes to the performance of our tent in rainy or windy conditions. Attaching all the Velcro when putting on the rain fly will insure a good, sturdy and wind resistant overall structure of the tent. Using all your guy lines will help to guide the water away from seams and windows if it does rain. The basic rule for setting guy lines on a tent is to stake them out tight at a 45&deg; angle. The stake would normally be about 5 to 6 feet from the tent's main body, depending on the size of your tent. We hope we were able to provide you with an answer to your question.
