Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't Fit 6 person tent Normally our 6 person tent doesnt come with a rainfly. I ordered this one to help keep moisture from the top joints (neoprene? sleeve over them). I tried for 2 hours to "fit" this rainfly to our tent! front to back it was good, BUT was about 2 feet short of covering the length of the tent. Trying to stretch was out of the question as the pole framework started to buckle and bend if you tried to secure the fly anywhere on the other end. i ordered from Coleman website!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not extend out over the door. The rainfly only covers the top of the tent. This is an issue because bottom of the tent extends out from the top. It does not do anything to prevent rain from coming into the tent if you open the door to go in/out. It needs to extend out over the door. Other than that it fits fine, and helps to protect the top of the tent. Since that is where the poles come together, it is probably a good thing to give that some extra protection to make it last longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits just fine My rain fly fits fine. The trick is to clamp the 4 overhanging straps to the tent poles, just below the "instant" insignia. All 4 corner straps should reach, no problem. See pic. Haven't field tested it yet, tho.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 10x14 rain fly does no fit Hi I own a 10x14 Coleman 8 person tent that is in the picture and I bought a 10x14 rain fly and I have struggle to make it fiit and I can’t ,I am guessing the single door side it is the back door but there is no way to make it fit that way. Can some body give me some advise maybe I got the wrong one or I am making some mistake? Got some rain last night and it was complete wet with out the rain fly. At.joseph

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn’t cover enough! Without the rain fly my brand new tent leaked like a sieve, and I ALWAYS waterproof my tents before 1st use. I bought the rain fly and now the tent leaks from the lower seams - water pours down the sides. I agree with other reviewers that getting in or out of the tent when raining is impossible but if the rest of my tent was dry I’d forgive that! Surely Coleman realizes that a sloped-side tent should have a full-length rain fly. I wish I’d done more research; the ease of set up doesn’t make up for the puddles in my tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I had purchased this earlier. We are fair weather campers and I foolishly chose not to buy the rainfly when I bought our tent 4 years ago. Needless to say rain happens. The rainfly has made all the difference in our camping experience. Easy to install, nice fit. I was actually thinking of buying a different tent. Glad I didn't. I will be able to get a few more years out of the one we still have.
