Rated 5 out of 5 by watts from Great tent. I purchased this tent for me and my wife to camp at Indiana State Parks. We absolutely love the ease in setting it up and taking down. The screen room is perfect for storing supplies if needed. It is spacious inside to have our queen size air mattress and a little fan. The pockets are great for our glasses and little things. It rained one night and the inside of the tent kept dry. The tarp we had underneath had little puddles but tent floor was dry. Maybe need a cover of some kind for screen room but other than that it is a great tent. As with all Coleman tents this has gone back in the bag without problems.

Constructed out of durable materials and with a floor that doesn’t need a ground cover, although I’d recommend using one just to be on the safe side. Very intuitive to set up. After one practice run in the yard we set it up in minutes once we got to our campsite. The rain fly works well and diverts condensation from the interior tent. Came with decent tent stakes and the reflective guy lines are amazing in the dark, very easy to see and avoid as you navigate in the dark. Worked well in rain, however, we didn’t test it in storm conditions.

When in need of a personal tent on Boy Scout camp outs I researched tents like I was buying a new sports car. I wanted something that would store my Scout Master stuff and keep it incredibly dry. The front screen room not only gives a place to keep bugs out, it provides shelter for the door in rainy weather. My stinky boots can stay dry along the back wall of the screen room all night safe from dew etc while I sleep. Set up I can do by myself if need be. Though not needed I do put a tarp ground cloth down as a nail at a local camp put a hole in the bottom (easily cured with tenacious tape), the tarp protects the floor from future issues. Having spent a few nights in torrential down pours there has never been a leak to appear. it will fit 2 queen size air mattresses for four people and gear with a small walk way between. Set up and allowed to dry after a rain has kept my tent from rot and mildew. rubbing solid wax on the door zipper has kept the zipper lubed for ease of movement and long lasting wear. High winds though wiggling the tent have caused no damage to poles or other wise. Keeping warm on those cold blustery nights has been an ease of using proper sleeping bags and attire.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JTPTC from Meets All Requirements Perfect tent for our needs. Two people, 3 German Shepherds and a Miniature Schnauzer all fit and that includes cots, dog beds and other gear. So far has been waterproof and decent ventilation. The one complaint would be that the way the front screen area is configured you can't really use it while it is actually raining. It is great for shade and keeping out of the bugs but if it is raining you have to go into the mail section of the tent. However I did figure out a way to get a tarp to extend over the screen section to fix that problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by peggy123 from Poor Quality and Unhelpful Customer Service I purchased the 6 person tent and used it twice before a fiberglass pole broken overnight without strong wind or external damage. Despite contacting customer service, they refused warranty coverage because I bought it from a “non-authorized seller” (I didn’t realize I needed to check the official website for authorized sellers before purchasing). They offered no replacement poles or solutions, leaving me to discard a nearly new tent after just two uses. Disappointing quality and lack of support make this tent a poor choice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by bigcat19 from Broken Plastic Clip I would really like to give it a higher rating but it's disappointing one of the clips broke after setting the tent up THREE TIMES. Bought this tent for cub scout camping with my son. After receiving it I took it out of the packaging and set it up, everything went smooth and was easy to set up with one person. Our first camping trip was three nights at summer camp later part of July 2019, had no issues with it and really liked the screen room feature. Ended up having to set the tent back up after getting home as we had heavy dew the morning we packed up and left camp. Had no issues at this time with it. Our next camping event was our one night pack camp out over this past weekend 8/16/19. Tent went up with no issues and when it came time to take it down in the morning one of the black plastic pole clips broke in half. It's very disappointing to have something like this happen. Will see how the warranty process goes and post an update to my review if allowed.

Thank you for your question about the Coleman 6-Person Steel Creek&trade; Fast Pitch&trade; Dome Camping Tent with Screen Room. A helpful tip is to make sure the tent is fully dry and tightly folded into long, even sections before rolling it up as tightly as possible, pushing out excess air as you go. Starting from the opposite end of the bag opening can also make it easier to fit back in. It can take a bit of practice, but these steps usually help it pack down more efficiently.

Thank you for your question. Please be advised that Coleman's MINIMUM hydrostatic head rating for the fabrics in this tent is 450mm. During batch and periodic quality testing we find most of the materials test at a much higher rating. Waterproof materials do not 100% translate to a waterproof tent. The waterproofing of the tent is measured by our rain testing, which simulates a 6&quot; per hour rain. To make our tents as waterproof as possible we tape all of the rainfly seams, use our WeatherTec inverted seams in other area, and use a patented welding process. We also enhance storm worthiness by our rainfly designs. Specifically our rainfly's extend in such a way that runoff or dripping water is unlikely to fall on a door or window area when the tent is properly setup and guyed. Last we use polyester tent bodies and rainfly's, which adds inherent waterproofing as polyester is a hydrophilic (water-fearing/shedding/repelling) material. Also, this tent has protected seams inverted floor seams dramatically increase weather resistance by hiding needle holes inside the tent, away from the elements.
