Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fell apart during first use Both ends broke on first use. First, the mallet end flew off while I was hammering a tent stake into very soft, muddy ground (it had just rained). Then, the tent peg hook bent while I was trying to remove a tent stake from the same very soft, muddy ground. I am very disappointed in my purchase and this was absolutely not the quality I have come to expect from Coleman. I would give zero stars if I could.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hook snapped in half The hook snapped in half while attemping to pull a peg out of the ground. The rubber mallet works okay, but often falls off because it is not attached to the wooden handle. I assume that is by design, as the mallet is meant to function as a mallet and tent peg remover. The design and construction could be better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well and is versatile tool for all types of camping It does everything as advertised. It can pound even the toughest stakes into submission. The stake remover works well enough, may need some extra muscle in certain ground conditions. This mallet has gone from primitive camping to glamping and is still getting the job done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thors little hammer Don’t let the photo fool you. This things is about 10 years old. It’s been around and still going strong. We’ve used it for driving tent stakes and removing them. It fits in with all the tent gear no problem when camping.
