Rated 1 out of 5 by from Their poles aren’t made like they used to be We setup this tent and the next morning I noticed the side poles were tented and not round like it should be. The poles on both sides (the gray poles) snapped. Not even on a connection and of course punctured the pole sleeve and then tore it when we tried to take out the poles. The tent can’t be used again. It seems like a lot of people are having the same issues

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is the WORST tent I have ever experienced!! I have over 50 years camping. The gray fiberglass poles for the sides are constantly breaking. I have replaced these pole three times and even added additional shorter sections (keeping same overall length of entire pole) in the hope it might reduce some strain on the pole sections. Total JUNK!

It’s also very durable which can block out the wind at night time. It’s a fun experience and I’m glad I bought this one for my family first camping trip. My kids have so much fun play inside the tent. We have a blast 💥😆

Rain cover, raining right through and also the bottom of the floor. We thought the sides would leak, no….it’s the middle! We thought we were getting something that would last longer, the one we got from Walmart for a play tent is holding up better!

The room partitions are a Godsend, the extra little storage pouches on each end are great for holding smaller things you don’t want to get lost, and there are plenty of ventilation openings, too

I have had up to 6 adults overnight in the tent, and while it was close quarters, it was do-able. Usually it is just me in the tent, and it's a perfect size for me and my stuff. I also really like the hinged door on this tent.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Side pole broke the very first time we used it. I really wanted to like this tent. We had the 10 person one before and it lasted us over 10 years. However with this one, one of the side pole snapped the very first time that we used it. To make things worse, the broken pole ripped the tent. We are seasoned campers and were camping in calm weather. I expected more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tent and amazing quality This green Coleman tent can fit 8 people and it's easy to set up. It took me a half of hour to put together. I like the length of this tent. It kept the rain or light out. It has wonderful mesh roof options that we opened on a dry night so we could look up the trees and starts. My family is really like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roomy We bought the Coleman 8 person tent for our grandkids for camping and their is plenty of room for about 6 with their gear their is a lot of detail to setting it up and I suggest two or more people. It has a couple pockets inside for storage and loop hanging from middle for a light or fan. Would recommend.

We literally slept through the whole thing!! It had lots of room in it!!! We had a queen size & twin size mattress in it & still had plenty of room to move around!!!

It kept the rain or light out. Seems to be mix in reviews but my personal experience it's a good price and great for a family to get out in the wilderness and create some memories.

I think some tents resist any weather. There was a time it was really rainy when we went camping so we had to put something over to not cause water to go inside the tent.

Holds up to the rainy days in Florida and keeps you warm and dry. I am a super girlie girl and trusted my boyfriend when he said I’d be cozy, and I was. First camping trip for me was a success.

But i give 4 stars because there is not dividers in the tent. Its nice and big but only one space. I thought it must be inside dividers between the bedrooms and unfortunately NOT. Other than that it's a good quality tent!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dissapointing result. I purchased two Montana 8 person tents. I like the design, but it is flawed in shock pole construction. The first tents outer end shock pole (grey one)broke. I order a replacement kit and repaired it thinking that maybe I did something wrong. The second tent was just used last week. After setting the tent up in a hurry due to rain, I sat down to relax. It was then that I started hearing a cracking sound. I first thought it was the storm approaching. After investigating, I found both outer shock poles ( grey ones) had broken. Obviously a design flaw. That is three out of four outer shock poles (grey ones) failing. Very disappointing discovery. I like the tent, but this has me questioning Coleman's commitment to quality. As a positive note, the tent did not leak after several hours of rain. I hope Coleman reads this and make's it right. I don't want my money back or anything like that. I would like some replacement shock poles. That's three outer grey poles with a better build quality, hopefully.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spacious,water resistant,durable if treated with care,ventilation is on point and easy to setup and take down! Very spacious!!! The weather resistance is pretty great! It won’t keep 100% of the rain out but compared to others it’s really good! Very easy setup! Once you get the hang of it it’s easy! Easy to breath in! I’ve slept in tents where I could barely breathe and this doesn’t compare AT ALL!

The most recent trip I took, one of the poles broke while the tent was set up and punched a hole through the rainfly. Now I’m in the market for another tent and will be researching brands outside of Coleman.

I repaired the poles for the first two times and I have bought a new pole and it has now broke. This tent has been used maybe 10 days. We have followed all directions to set up.

Our second time using this tent and now the other side broke in the same spot, so this product is defective and I don’t recommend buying it unless you want to have a project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome durability!!! This tent withstood an 80 mph wind/sandstorm, was flung a foot off the ground with the roof against a tree for 15 minutes!!! The curved door pole suffered one break and one of the tent support poles suffered one break. Great build Coleman. Now, I just need 2 replacement poles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Over 12 years old, still going strong. I love this tent! We bought it at Bass Pro Shop back in 2010 or 2011. Our kids were small and there was a ton of room. Now our kids are huge and there is still a ton of room. Plenty for two adults on the large Coleman cots, a 6ft 13 year old boy, two preteen girls, and two large dogs. The screen ceiling is great. Lots of airflow for those warm nights and a fantastic view. The rainfly barely leaked on us one time during a very severe thunderstorm, but it wasn’t much and hasn’t since then. Emergency sirens were going off in the distance and trees were falling, but we did alright. The door pole snapped years ago but was easy to repair. It snapped again this past week but the door still worked fine. It’s a valid complaint though, as looking at other people’s pics, they all snap in the same spot. Our family has throughly enjoyed this tent. It goes up and down very fast and fits in the bag fairly easily. We are basic car campers. This tent checked all the boxes for us and still does after all these years.

Not recommended for extreme cold weather, but it was great for the moderate climate of Germany in September. We had a little rain with no leaks. Would recommend for mild to moderate temperatures.

Enough space that it allowed a queen size blow up bed a pack an play for my baby and a little toddler bed for my oldes to sleep on over all it was a very good tent and didnt even let the rain in when it started to rain on us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SPACIOUS! My family LOVES this tent!! We had the 4 person tent before and upgraded to the 8 person… worlds better!! So spacious. Great ventilation. Super cozy with the rain cover on. We use one side of the tent for sleeping and the other for food prep, our belongings, etc.

It is not light by any means but for the room the wight it worth it. But it can take some time to setup with all the different poles and such and at night or in weather can be a real issue.

Sure could use that canopy. The door pole pushed threw the rubber hinge but still works well. Can't use unless I get that canopy.

I was able to set this up in around 25 minutes. This is able to hold light rain but we had a leak when it rained heavy. This also has small vents for food ventilation.

The tent had not been through any winds and we are always very careful and gentle went setting up and taking down since the poles did seem very flimsy to begin with.
