Rated 4 out of 5 by keehaw from Very Spacious, Decent in Various Conditions This 4-person tent worked really great for two people out in the west Texas desert. It kept us protected from the sun during the daytime and held up against some moderate winds, despite being quite lightweight. I found the setup and breakdown to be fairly easy — the carrying case is pretty exact to the size of the tent, so packing it up requires being somewhat deliberate. The built in poles are convenient but I worry about being able to replace them if needed in the future. A surprise rainstorm and some chilly desert nights tested the limits of this tent though, I think it's best for summers and fair conditions.

Not if you guy it out the way you need to and put on the rain fly. That said, I really like this tent. I like the pockets, I like the vents, I like the fact I can pull in an extension cord for my devices to charge at night. It’s got lots of places inside to attach carabiners and hang gear or coats. The vestibule is wonderful for storing gear that you don’t want cluttering up your tent. The price is great too, especially for what you’re getting. But you won’t be pitching it in five minutes.

Upon assembling prior to camping trip I discovered one of the attached fiber glass tent poles is broken. It makes the tent more difficult to put together and I am scared it will be an issue camping with an elementary school child and a one-year-old. The stakes are also missing. One of the seam in the back of the tent has a defect. There are runs in the mesh. The seams are already taped. It was packaged nicely in the box. The packaging seemed freshly minted, and did not give any signs of being a used tent. So this must be a manufacturing issue. I have a defective tent and my son’s soap box derby begin Friday night. It is Sunday. He worked so hard on his car I have to make sure he makes it to the race.

The room inside this tent is amazing. I’ve had it up in my backyard for a couple weeks now. The kids go out a few times a week and “camp”. It has been through 4 kids and thunderstorms and hasn’t budged. It is definitely durable to say the least. I’m very pleased with this item!

This tent is roomy enough for 4 people , no bumping elbows when we sleep. I love the skydome, I can lay & look at the stars at night. The netting makes for a nice breeze on those hot nights. The extra cover that goes over it keeps everything dry, you never have to worry if it rains. I highly recommend this tent to all you Campers, you'll be very Pleased ! This is really well made & will last for many camping trips with my Family .

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ella276 from Perfect tent! I really like this tent. Took it camping recently and I'm really happy with how easy it was to set up. I love how roomy it is too. There's also a nice entry way which makes your tent space feel bigger and it's a good spot to put things you don't want inside your tent but don't want out in the open either. I also really likes the storage pockets. It worked like a charm and fit my queen size air mattress perfectly. I am super pleased and would definitely recommend!

Absolutely loved the wider door because it made it so much easier getting everything in and out. The carry bag is easy storage. Absolutely so happy with this tent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Nice quality, but too much mesh for my needs The tent was nicely made, but - even though the description mentions a mesh back wall – I was surprised that so much of the tent was mesh, too much for my needs. Even with fly securely in place, I felt that cold air would find its way into the tent in cooler temps; it’s just not the same as solid fabric. I had a couple of questions and the people at Coleman/Newell were very nice and helpful, but I was disappointed that the company offers no assistance with a return label/shipping. Before I ordered, I checked that returns were possible (60 days), but I didn’t read far enough to notice that I would have to bear the full cost to return if it didn’t work out. It cost $30 to send back! I know it’s a heavy item, and I would expect to pay at least some of that, but I now am out $30 and have nothing to show for it. Unfortunately, this will prevent me from shopping on Coleman’s site in the future, which is too bad, because my family and I have been big fans for years, own lots of Coleman stuff. Just can’t risk it if things don’t work out. $30 was a lot to spend. : (

The main tent door uses a zipper closure, allowing you to fully zip it shut for privacy and protection from bugs and weather. The tent also features a wide door design, which makes it easier to move sleeping bags, airbeds, and other gear in and out while still allowing the entrance to be completely closed when needed.

Coleman's MINIMUM hydrostatic head rating for the fabrics in this tent is 450mm. During batch and periodic quality testing we find most of the materials test at a much higher rating.


Waterproof materials do not 100% translate to a waterproof tent. The waterproofing of the tent is measured by our rain testing, which simulates a 6&quot; per hour rain. To make our tents as waterproof as possible we tape all of the rainfly seams, use our WeatherTec inverted seams in other area, and use a patented welding process. We also enhance storm worthiness by our rainfly designs. Specifically our rainfly's extend in such a way that runoff or dripping water is unlikely to fall on a door or window area when the tent is properly setup and guyed. Last we use polyester tent bodies and rainfly's, which adds inherent waterproofing as polyester is a hydrophilic (water-fearing/shedding/repelling) material.
