Rated 3 out of 5 by FantomD from Great tent over all, rain fly leaks though Great tent overall but rain fly leaked with frost. Cant imagine how bad it is in a rain storm. You can see small pinholes in it from the inside. The sides of the rain fly and tent base need spots for tie downs for everything to work as it should. With no windows it would be nice to tie back the rainfly on the sides but you cant so not much airflow with leaving rain fly on. Other than that the tent was great. Great design with the screen room.

Upon returning home, I wanted to set it up to dry it out, and this very important plastic piece broke without me doing anything to it. It looks like it was superglued on. I bought this tent from REI and another reviewer had the exact same problem. I’m super disappointed!!!

The easy set-up greatly added to the success of the outing. The color coded tent, rainfly, and brow pole made it very easy to get everything aligned. There was plenty of room for 6 sleepers and the dark room technology worked great for a few of us to get a little extra sleep. I have done a lot of camping in all sorts of tents, and I think Coleman’s SkyDome is a definite winner for me, as well as my grandchildren.

There is plenty of room in this tent, and I can even stand up in it. It stays dry. There are many options included. The material is quality-made, and is wind and weather proof. The screen room provides extra storage and a sleeping area as well. The dark room technology keeps out 90 percent of the sunlight and keeps the tent cooler. There are many nice features of this tent. It is quality made to last for years.

Zippers work well, there’s enough pockets, and a hook on the top for lights. It’s easy to set up! There is even like a tarp? that comes with it to cover up the screens and it mostly is waterproof! To put everything back is just as easy, there’s an option to rip the bag it comes it to expand it so everything can fit back in there. The only thing is, this feels more like a 2-3 person tent.

It is a dark room dome tent which is the perfect size for my family. Love the fact that is dark room tent for added privacy while camping. We couldn't wait to use it. It was easy to put together. The instructions were very clear. Tjis tent is super comfortable, and it looks so cute. It's very nice and cozy inside. Great material very durable as well. Love it and will be traveling with it this summer.

We used it for a night and it was sufficiently dark and the vestibule was a nice feature. Things started going awry when one of the tent poles snapped during disassembly, as has been experienced by other reviewers. Reached out to Coleman customer support via email but didn't receive any response. Reached out via chat and was pointed to a replacement parts website to buy new poles. As it should happen, though, replacement parts apparently are not available for this tent. Then made multiple attempts at completing/submitting the warranty form, providing all requested documentation, and was informed with each attempt that there was an error in submitting the form. The only other option is to request a refund, which means paying return shipping on a massive tent. TL;DR run from this tent and the Coleman web site as fast as you possibly can. Based on other reviews and my own experience, the tent seems likely to fail. Maybe not during the first use, but probably at some point sooner than you would want for a $300 tent. If you really, really have to buy this tent, buy it from Amazon or REI or absolutely anywhere that can help you process a return when it breaks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by bootsy from nice tent, garbage poles Tent sets up relatively easily and the blackout fly works well -- kids slept in when camping. But the attached poles that come with it are garbage. One of the little brackets attaching the pole snapped the very first time we camped. And the poles seem to be attached with a small end piece that is lightly glued on, not part of the actual pole. Furthermore, there is no pocket at the base of the tent to just stick the pole in like a normal tent -- it's all about the "preattached" poles, which easily break. So we were able to jury-rig something together, but it's very disappointing given many planned camping trips this summer. Oh, and the warranty claim form on coleman's website is broken and they won't answer their phone, so it's not even possible to get the warranty we paid for (and these poles are not available under replacement parts)

The weather resistance on the rain fly seems to be really good quality. We like the porch for storage of wet items and to be able to set up chairs and be bug free. Overall this is a quality tent and we're looking forward to years of family camping with it.

This tent withstood the rain and hail and kept us dry. Set up and tear down was easy. Great space inside with lots of head room. Being that it rained so much we used the front screen room for a wet room which worked out well being able to take off boots and coats keeping the sleeping area dry.

The waterproofing does not work appropriately. The storage is easy. The weight of the tent is very light and it’s very easy to carry.

Contacted Coleman for an exchange a few days ago, so hopefully they'll replace the tent, but so far I haven't heard from them.
