I have camped for a week in this tent for two summer seasons so far, and I have to say, this is a great quality tent for car camping. the best part about this tent is the separate Screen Room / entry room / mudroom feature. it is perfect to make sure you have the tent screen shut close to reduce bugs from getting into your tent. open zip front room, get inside front room, close front room, then open big tent door, then you're in and bug-free!!! perfect for shoe storage or easy-access things throughout the day that you may need but don't want to be all the way in your tent -- still enclosed but more easily accessible. all the vent and open door options or dark out versus mesh options are amazing. it is so so easy and intuitive to put up, it is no exaggeration when they say "5 minute set up" -- of course it's easier with two people to set up, but I've even tore it down by myself and actually got all the tent contents back in the bag (does that ever happen???) has enough room for 1 Queen size mattress and plenty of storage and walking space! it's on sale and so worth it! I hope to have this tent for a lifetime or however long it will last!

Rated 3 out of 5 by pwilks from I like the darkness, but it gets pretty stuffy Right now, my wife and I camp with our two kiddos who are under age 5. The littlest is still napping once each day, so we bought this tent to keep it dark and cool for their nap. I do think the dark-room feature accomplishes the first goal (ie keeping it dark). However, there really aren't any venting features, so it wasn't very cool. The upper portion of the inner tent itself is completely screened, but the outer rainfly has no windows or vents. Not even a vent at the top. So, it got quite stuffy inside in the middle of the day. I had to use a camp chair to pull the sides of the rainfly away from the tent to create airflow, which did allow light to get into the tent, but it was worth it to get the air moving. Also, folding it back up into the bag is quite difficult. The pre-attached poles do make setup easier, but they make the storage a lot harder. The expandable storage bag is wonderful, but even with that, I could barely make it work. The instructions for the tent about storage are just silly and of no help at all. It took me 45 minutes to cram it into the bag and I still had the poles poking perilously out the side. Coleman has some great videos online about setting tents up, but this is one case where a packing-it-down video would be more helpful!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jahman7 from Great for cooler/dry regions, not for humid/hot. This tent has been great. I am tall (6'3") and can stand comfortably in this tent. My concern with cabin tents is wind resistance. With this tent, I can stand comfortably enough and it has great wind resistance compared to cabin tents. My wife and I are night owls, so the darkroom tech really helps. We love the outdoors but prefer to stay up late with the bug and amphibian noises than wake up early with the birds. The downsides: The rain fly doesn't breathe so it may stop light, but it also stops wind. Not great for camping in the southern US where it may not rain, but humid air settles instantly without a rain fly and moistens everything, but the heat is bad enough to need some sort of air flow in hotter months. With the dark room tech, no airflow dissipates the heat that accumulates in the tent - regardless if light is present. It would be better if the tent had a lighter color to reflect light and heat from being easily absorbed into the materials of the tent. Also, be warned: I bought this tent directly from Coleman. The first tent had pinpoint holes in the rainfly allowing bits of light through, AND the pole's joints were rusted. I contacted Coleman and they sent another free of charge. However, the one they sent had a small 2" hole where the stitching was missing between the tub floor and the back wall. Seems the manufacturing process has become "cheaply made" where quality control is concerned. So be careful with purchasing from Coleman - at least until they fix their quality control issues.

The doorway lip (floor tub height) is about 4&ndash;5 inches high, which may require a small ramp or assistance to roll over smoothly.
