Rated 5 out of 5 by Sjp7 from Never thought I could set up a tent! The Skylodge 8 person tent is fantastic. The color coding and sleeves make it so anyone can set it up quickly. You get the tent up fast and you can get back to enjoying your camping trip. The inside is huge and comfortable for 8 people for sure. The room divider let’s you separate your sleeping area from the rest of your stuff which is nice. And the screened walls can let the fresh air while keeping bugs out. This tent is going give us a comfy place to sleep outside for years to come - and considering we have young kids i am sure it’ll make a fun basement debut as well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nate31 from Sets up and breaks down in a breeze! I've never had a tent like this before and went to set it up without watching or reading instructions. It too my about 4 minutes to wing-it and stand up the main body of the tent. It was too tall to put on the rain fly by myself and we decided not to put it on because it's July in California. It was just barely large enough for two queen sized air mattresses to sit side by side and also have about 3 feet at the end of the tent for changing clothes. It fit my family of 4 including a 4yo and a 7yo very very well. Breaking it down and putting it away was also very easy. The carrying case wasn't a snug fit, we just dropped it in and buckled it up. Seems like a solid buildout and I'm happy to use this a few times a year!

Rated 1 out of 5 by idgetct from Not a good tent Bought this last year for my family of 5. It NEVER sets up right. I have been an avid camper my whole life, but we can never get the bottom flat. Found out this weekend that it leaks, despite being used twice. We all had soggy sleeping roles and damp clothes. Also, the poles get twisted very easily and it seems completely dependent on the rain fly to remain standing. Had my last Coleman 6 person for 20 years, and i am already looking to replace this one.

When you set it up first time it took us around 10 min, it has manual how to set up , but it is pretty simple and intuitive. First time we tried on our backyard, my kids were very excited to play there. And we are happy to go for our next camping with this amazing tent . What I like about this tent : -it has big wide doors in case you need to put some gears inside -lots of windows that can be open for ventilation -the size to the ceiling is pretty high, so the tall person can stand without bumping the head -lots of pockets and pouches to store your staff -protecting awning in case of rain -very convenient pre-attached poles to set up very quickly , and very easy to put it back -it has large bag to store the tent -there is a divider to make 2 rooms -it has zipper cuff covers -water resistant The only one thing about this tent , one of our pre-attached poles I think wasn’t working correctly we couldn’t adjust it back with the size of other poles. But anyway it fitted into the bag after . This tent might fit up to 8 people but for my opinion it would be very tight .It depends if it would be adults or kids. If the family with kids then it will be fine . For my family of 4 , this is the perfect size , it has space for everyone and is not tight . But if more then 4 adults I think it is not very convenient. We have one queen air bed and one single size airbed that perfectly fits this tent . Very happy with the quality, size and they way how easy can be set up without any issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TexasMom from Yes! It really is fast to set up! Recently had a Scout campout and decided to use this tent for myself since I was accompanying my son solo. I'll admit that I'm not at all inclined for camp setup and the like so I decided to do a practice run in my backyard first. Instructions are clear and easy to understand, even for this novice. It was very fast to set up. I'm pretty sure it wasn't as quick as 60 seconds for my first go but it *was* fast and easy and I'll probably get there after another couple of setups. It's very spacious inside and will easily accommodate my air mattress inside. :)

As some of the other reviews describe, one of the poles was defective and on backwards. The pole wouldn’t stay expanded. I returned to the store and replaced with the exact tent, the poles were on right, but seemed ‘sticky’ and was hard to click in place. I plan to keep my receipt. I have a feeling I will end up returning it.

Very durable and really easy to set up. It was very cozy and we put a queen size mattress in and had plenty of room. I had forgotten what camping was like ande memories started flooding back from our younger years. I really enjoyed this with my grandchildren and making our own memories now. I did cheat and have a couple of fans in it. It was really a great experience and can't wait to go to the camping grounds. Great quality!

Remember, when you camp, your tent is probably the most crucial element unless you like sleeping under the stars. Failure here can ruin a trip . . . fast! We only used this tent FOUR TIMES before a pole failed and broke. Also, instant tents CANNOT BE FIXED! No replacement poles possible. So, not reliable and not repairable. That should be a non-started for anyone. Finally, this was my second try with a Coleman instant tent. Now I'm the dummy for not learning the first time.

Says 8 person but more comfortable as 4 person with room to move around. 8 person is doable if you’re counting small children. Love the skylight feature, tent cover, carry bag and quality of the manufacturing ! We’re all ready to camp in the backyard or by the river, this is awesome!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tinkerfell4you from Quick setup This tent says it sets up in 1 minute, maybe with 4 adults it could be. It is a lot faster and easier than a traditional tent though. I set it up by myself in 8 minutes and my 2 kids did it in 5, much faster than our older Coleman tent. The instructions could be a little bit more detailed, you have to make sure the poles are fully extended outward and the orange button is up. Once set up it's perfect for our family of 5. There is enough room for all of us to sleep and our duffel bags.

It comes with a room divider, which can come in handy. It easily fit our queen size air mattress and sleeping bags. There is absolutely room for a second mattress, but we opted to set a couple chairs up instead. The tent is relatively quick and easy to put up and take down. It has the awning that gives extra coverage/protection from rain/sun. There are plenty of screened windows to allow for airflow. The storage bag that it comes in is great. It also shows you the best way to roll up and put the tent away. Overall, I was very pleased with this tent. My kids already want to use it again to camp in the back yard. It definitely makes camping outside more enjoyable.

It's an Instant Tent, so it wasn't too hard to set up. Just follow the directions and it will be set up in a jiffy. The material is really heavy duty. Very durable. The zippers are easy to maneuver. I like the flaps to give you privacy. The quality of this tent is one the best out there. It's a really great tent. The value was great. The quality is excellent. 5 stars. I would and have recommended to my family and friends.

The material is strong and sturdy and the tent itself is well made. We set this up in our yard to make sure it is working well and we knew how to set it up. It was easy to set up and take down. We haven’t stayed in it yet since it’s still a little too cold but we can’t wait to put this tent to good use. It is very roomy and will fit our two queen mattresses nicely. We are very happy with this tent.

My husband is 6'4" and can stand up in it with no problem. Being big enough to hold 2 queen size air mattresses, our daughter can have a friend or two, go with us on a camping trip and there's still enough room to put your personal belongings in it. It's strong and sturdy. I can't wait to continue using it! I definitely don't regret getting it.....You wouldn't be either!!

This tent setup is easy - by myself it took about 15 minutes - probably most of that was staking it. It rained while I was camping - not a monsoon by any means, but everything inside the tent, including me, stayed dry. Those were the two things I was looking for - easy setup and waterproofing. With the windows unzipped the air flow was great. But at night when I zipped them up, the tent kept a lot of the warmth in it. I bought the 6 person tent, because I like a lot of room. I have a full size mattress, small table, camp chair and two totes in the tent with me. Plenty of room to walk around, and able stand up straight in the middle even though I am 5'7". I have only used it once so far but looking forward to more uses in the future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ANYTHING BUT COLEMAN from DO NOT BUY - $350 DOWN THE DRAIN! Used this tent twice in one year, third time using and could not get the tent up. One arm would not extend, the other I eventually broke trying to get to extend. Went camping with my little boy and nephew, had to sleep in the truck because this garbage would not work correctly - long night! Been stored in a heated/AC shop. Of course I purchased this 13 months ago so my one year warranty is worthless. I had another instant tent that lasted 7-8 years - DO NOT BUY COLEMAN!

Unfortunately, we did not know this until we got up to our camp site, so our trip was ruined and we had to come home. I find it interesting that all of the recent reviews have the same backwards poles problem.

We exchanged it for the same product, hoping it was just defective, but once again one of the poles is backwards and therefore the tent can’t stand on its own. Very frustrating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CateW from I wanted to like it Pros: The size of the tent is great for 2 adults with a queen air mattress and a week's worth of luggage. It's very tall so you can fully stand up. Cons: the fly does not adequately cover the tent and prevent water from coming in the sides. It leaks on the sides in every place there is a window tie or mesh pocket. And it leaks worse if you have anything in the mesh pockets. It's also unnecessarily complex to put up.

We fit our queen size air bed and a full mattress this tent very spacious for camping. I'd say 8 people in the tent would be to crowded. We used it for 4 people and it was very comfortable. Setup was easy but we had to reread directions. I also had to have extra help set it up. My husband was able to break it down himself. It took 2 of us to fit it in the bag.

This tent is not that heavy, packaging has handles to carry which is convenient. Easy to open and easy to understand directions. Took us less than 5 minutes to assemble. Very roomy. First 8 people comfortably. Water proof with no leaks. Zippers open and close with ease. We love this tent. Easy to disassemble took us about 10 minutes.

Well this tent is amazing. Set up was so quick and easy! This is very spacious. The entrance is large. We had our family and a dog and had lots of room . I love the windows that lets the air in and keeps the bugs out. This is a great quality tent. I look forward to going camping a lot more.

However, I've used this tent twice and one of the poles has already bent, the tent is still usable but that pole no longer folds up properly. I've not been rained on in this tent yet, but while testing it's waterproof abilities with a hose, this tent dripped from all three back windows. Very disapointed.

The tent did not retract properly as it was originally purchased. Also the delivery driver wrecked our landscaping when he drove off the driveway; not specific to the tent but specific to the receipt experience.

I had another older model of the insta tent and must say this one is way easier and faster to set up. This one is as easy as laying it out, extending poles, attaching rainfly, and anchoring it down. I honestly can't think of a way to make setup any easier. This one is one I don't mind setting up in the backyard in a moments notice for the kids and taking it down. I must highlight how big the door is on this tent! It makes it so easy dragging in your gear, especially those air mattresses. I love the pockets for storage and the room divider is a nice feature too. I also love the height of this tent. I have plenty of room to stand up in it. It has floor to ceiling windows allowing for nice airflow if you choose to keep them open. It also has a floor vent for airflow. I also love the "cupped" bottom so you don't have to worry about rain water leaking in. I could not be happier with this tent!

While i would say its more like a 6 person tent, it was easy to assemble and break down. Packs up nice and also seems pretty durable. Not sure yet how it will tolerate rain and wind. But as of now, its a 10 out of 10.

Our family of 10 were able to fit comfortably after set up and a bit of rearranging.Overall, this is a must have. The material feels pretty tough. We have some roudy kids and if they cant rip it, youre good.Definetly worth it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Joyride from Doesn’t hold up to basic use Broke with the first use. Tent looked like it was straining the struts when put up. One of the sewn seams was already coming apart. When taking it down, the plastic hinge locked up and the strut buckled. Got one use out of it, now it’s junk. Sad. Also the instructions were extremely hard to follow and only to in Spanish for some reason.
