While the insulation maintains cold temperatures for hours, it does still use foam rather than a gas barrier like CO₂.&#10;So, to clarify:&#10;The internal space and walls are insulated with urethane foam (a traditional insulating material).&#10;The lid does not contain insulation, and there is no CO₂ gas chamber involved in the insulation system &#10;If you&amp;rsquo;d like help comparing this to Coleman&amp;rsquo;s older Performance series (which used CO₂ walls) or similar coolers, we&amp;rsquo;d be happy to assist!
