Poor quality
This cooler is nothing like its predecessor. Stainless steel hardware rusted after being in salty environment for 2 days. Seat is advertised to hold 250 pounds but the top caves easily and the sides begin to warp out with just 160 pounds. For a company who has been in the cooler game forever, this is a disgraceful product. I can’t speak to how long it holds ice because we will now use it as a container for storage.

Damaged during shipping
I ordered the 316 Series 150-Qt Marine Hard Cooler as a Christmas present for my son, who shrimps, fishes and hunts. The cooler itself would have been perfect except that it was damaged in shipping. The box it was in was ripped in multiple places and something had penetrated the box causing a dent in the bottom corner of the cooler near the drain plug. The dent is about 1.5-2" long and has a sharp straight line indention in the bottom corner. I am concerned that the dent has compromised the integrity of the cooler and will cause a break through the interior wall , thus causing the cooler to leak, or at least not cool properly. There was no packing/shipping label inside or outside the box, therefore no instructions to return or replace the cooler. If I had purchased the cooler at a store, I could have seen the damage and not purchased it, however this was an online purchase.

Not well made
Cooler doesn’t preform well in heat. I had 80lbs of ice and about 40 cans in the cooler at the time with plenty of room to spare. With in a hour of being outside the top bowed up leaving a space between the cap and the cooler. The cap need a clip or a strap to hold it tight

great cooler, but…
I love the cooler, but I ordered TWO, and only one shipped. This is over a month ago, and I’ve been trying to reach out to customer service multiple times with no response for a refund or explanation. The tracking says Baker, CA, then nothing. Coleman, please help!

Not too great of a cooler
The top is flimsy. Whatever it’s insulated with cracked literally the first time I sat on it (I’m 150lbs)
It doesn’t seal at all. Water leaks in (I use it as a dry storage/seat/cooler.
The two halves are separating after having it for only 3 weeks
