We understand that you are asking if you can use dry ice in the cooler and if you should open the drain hole to allow gasses to escape. We would appreciate the opportunity to check on your inquiry. Please be advised that for using the dry ice, you should place the dry ice on top of the food. Be sure that the dry ice is wrapped in heavy layers of newspaper. Do not let dry ice come in direct contact with the interior liner or your hands. Also, you should not open the drain hole so that you can keep the ice longer.
