Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the quality I was expecting I received this cooler as a Christmas present and have only used it twice. The handle is very flimsy and the drain plug would not stay in the drain hole therefore when we rolled the cooler using the wheels it appears the drain plug got damaged. Can not even use the cooler anymore since when the ice melts water gets everywhere. Very poor design with the placement of the drain! Very disappointed in this cooler.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good cooler; brittle handle We use our cooler most weekends to transport food. It works fine, but the handle doesn’t make the cut. It extends and retracts with much difficulty and sometimes comes out of it’s telescopic tracks. It takes a lot of effort to get it reconnected. Sometimes I have to store it differently than it’s designated place.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Keeps things cold but handle does not work Cooler keeps things cold but telescoping handle is poorly constructed and is not usable. Bought this 2 years ago and use for camping/cookouts but now unable to roll it because the handle does not work - takes an army to fuss with it and right now it will not pull out. Next cooler unfortunately will not be a Coleman. You definitely need to work on quality in this area.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy Coleman 50 quart extreme 5 day cooler. Bought it fall of 2019 and the lid is really loose where it should be airtight to keep the ice from melting in half a day. Brand new looking Cept the scratches on the bottom. And i just took the sales label off the front. It’s been stored inside a conditioned building and had been used for two camping trips since we purchased it. The receipt is just a white paper now. The ink faded completely. My last cooler kept ice for 5 days for over 10 years. And it was stored outside in my shed. This one didn’t even make it to the second summer of use and like i said. Didn’t get used but twice last year due to the pandemic. And once this year. And the ice was melted by the end of the day when the temps reached 84 the first day of a five day trip. No ice was available while on this trip and I lost some of my food to spoilage before my trip ended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from COOLERS THAT GO THE DISTANCE, I THINK NOT!!! Not durable at all! I originally bought this for my kid's soccer games to be able to take waters meaning I have to pull this cooler through bumpy grass. This only lasted a week! I'm pretty handy, I figured I would just attach it back myself. After reviewing the hardware that held the wheels I was shocked. I posted pictures! They literally just hammer a cap on to the end of the rod and call it a day. I'm sure this is for faster production process. It sucks that now a days companies don't really care about quality and making things last!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 5 hour cooler This is supposed to be a 5 day cooler that is a joke. I've used it for about 2 months in a range of conditions and never keeps ice over 24hrs. On one occasion I put 40lbs of ice in it and that went about 36hrs maybe. Very disappointed it must defective if not it is very poor quality it has become the joke of the camping group "coleman 5hr coolers"

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Telescoping handle fails The telescoping handle is exceedingly fussy. The button doesn’t seem to disengage the pins anymore, so if extended it must be lowered by manually poking all the retaining pins. Seemed like a nice idea, but the engineering of the parts is cheap and unreliable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not stay cold The reason I bought this cooler was for the "Ice last's 5 days" I have a business that I do with the use of a Cooler, so I purchased hoping the Ad was true. I was excited to try it. During the 1st-2nd hour of the ice being in the cooler, it melted. I thought maybe it was the type of Ice I used, so I took a 8hr ride trip. Within the 1st-2nd hour the ice was already water. & again in a 2 hour trip I took, once I poured the ice in, it melted within 20-40. Maybe theres special instructions on how to use it, But for me, it didnt work.
