Rated 5 out of 5 by Not bob from Love my contigo byron Love my contigo, they get dropped so many times, left on the roof of my car and found on the road, dropped on rocks getting into truck. I'm not gentle and overtighten all the time with no seal issues and none ever leak, except of I used the auto seal for a week, then forget the snap shuts open and shake it 😂. We have multiple as we like to thoroughly soak and wash them after every use. I have 7, spanning 8 years that me and my partner use. All 7 still work. My favourite is the Byron 2.0, only issue is, I can't buy another Byron in south Australia. Pros: keeps my coffee hot and drinkable for 5hrs in the morning. Very durable. Likes to be treated rough. Cons: Can't buy a Byron her in Oz.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MelissaK from Great with one exception I bought 2 of these one for my husband and one for myself. I love the seal and how well it keeps my morning coffee hot for hours. The seal is good enough to toss the entire thing in my hand bag as I leave for work. The only downside I have found is the rubber grip sleeve. Water gets behind during washing and sours. I haven't seen mold, but the SMELL...like an old sponge. I tried removing and cleaning it separately and letting it air dry but it stills hold the smell. I have just removed the grip and use the mug without. Just disappointing as I initially thought I found the perfect travel mug.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Reneja from Drink hole too small; hard to drink I find the design of the lid to be awkward. The hole is so small you have to gulp. So much air is taken in just to get a sip. Never had this problem with any other lid but Contigo.Two mugs and I end up taking the lid off to drink, defeating the purpose of the leakproof lid. The stainless steel is hot! I've also burned my lip fooling around with the awkward design. Otherwise I love the radiant orchid color and overall look of the mug.

Recently I had purchased some Byron cups and two of them had bad seals. I contacted the company and they did not have any lids in stock and do not sell the seals, however, in a few short steps and about 3 weeks I had two brand new replacement cups. I like these cups very much they keep my hot beverages hot and cold ones cold and I would recommend them especially the AutoSeal product. I do wish the seals would have held up better with the Snapseal but as said getting replacements was an easy process.

I take my coffee in it in the mornings and my iced tea in the afternoons. It keeps the coffee hot and the iced tea cold. I took it last evening to my child’s game and forgot and left it in my car overnight, when I got it out of the car the next morning the tea was still cold. I like the snap seal lid it seals very well and there are no leaks. The textured grip is a nice feature to ensure it doesn’t slip from your hand.

My only complaint is the rubber seal in the lid wears out to quick and I have yet to be able to find replacements for them.

The mug keeps my coffee hot for many hours, the Snapseal lid works great and easy to use and clean. The mug is the perfect size for cup holders. However, this product does have one serious flaw which has caused me to toss out one mug, and now my replacement mug is having the same issue after only a couple of months of use. It not seals well, does not keep my coffee hot not even warm. My recommendation is not to buy it if you are going to walk with it on your hand, because you're going to leave a trace behind yourself.

Sadly his didn't last a month and the seal came loose and would leak most of the time. I tried purchasing a new lid from this website but they don't ship to Canada? So I ended up purchasing two new mugs eventually because sure enough my mug started doing the same thing. The whole family has these mugs and everyone of us has had this issue. Now the mugs are great so I wouldn't want to go with another company but this issue hasn't been fixed and I don't want to keep buying a new mug instead of a lid when the seal stops working. Please fix this issue or at least make the lid more accessible to people in Canada.. I do enjoy the product so it would be unfortunate to have to find something else.

My beverages stay hot or cold for hours.I haven't experienced a spill yet and I am known to just toss them in my bag. However, to effectively clean the mug you have to remove the tiny rubber stopper. Guard that stopper with your life because once it is gone, the mug is useless. You have to buy a replacement lid which has not been in stock in for weeks. This only leaves me the option to purchase yet another mug and I may not be doing that anytime soon.

I think the insulation is different because my old contigo keeps ice overnight and for hours and hours. My ice is melted completely away in two hours in a room temperature house. Go back to the old design, contigo. It's too thin and does not keep my drink cold enough at all. BOOO

I don’t often have time to drink hot tea or coffee in the mornings at home so I fill this mug up and head out the door. I love that this mug holds 24 ounces of liquid and actually fits in my cup holder in my car. The best feature of this mug is the leak-proof lid. I also love the convenience of using one hand and thumb and flipping the lid to drink and snapping it back when I am done. I usually drink my hot drink within a few hours and it does keep my coffee/tea hot the whole time. I have used it a couple of times with cold drinks and was impressed that it kept my drinks cold for several hours.

However, It isn't entirely spill proof. The seal, the o-ring, often gets out of whack and suddenly. . Leaking! First time it soaked my backpack. I've learned to check now. So, I do love my mug. I just need one that really doesn't leak... ever. Great, friendly customer service got me a replacement mug. That one leaked eventually too. Maybe I should try another style Contigo. Cuz... I really do love it I recommend it... with a caveat... beware leakage!

Rated 5 out of 5 by betty1229 from Dark Plum is the best color for rhe best mug BRING BACK THE DATK PLUM! I absolutley love this travel mug. I replace it once a year as I use it practically everyday. Last year, I could not find the dark plum in 20 oz., so I decided to try the 16 oz version which did have the dark plum. I found that the 16oz. version, for whatever reason did not keep my tea warm the whole day like the 20 oz. Thankfully I kept my 20 oz. around and as beat up as it is and it still keeps my drink warmer for longer (although it's getting old and not painting temperature as well as it once did). I really want to replace it, but want the dark plum color. PLEASE , please bring it back. Or at least try a different purple, for us purple loving folk out there, we are a plenty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by caslam from Great bottle . . . except for lid I love my Contigo mugs with autoseal. Decided I needed a 20 oz. bottle so tried this one. Great as always with two exceptions. First of all, the SnapSeal does not open easily with one hand. Secondly, when drinking there is not enough room for my nose! I do not have a large nose; it's an average sized girl nose. I have to drink side saddle to get it to work for me! Other than that, as always, it keeps my water cold for hours. I'm going to donate this one and go back to my Mug with AutoSeal.

I was very excited because they're a great size for long days working outside and they do a decent job of keeping coffee warm. However, I was quickly disappointed when the first one started leaking from the seal after a few months of use. The second did the same and leaked all over when tipped even slightly. My third and last travel mug is now doing the same. I'm not rough on my travel mugs and hand wash all parts. I have had other contigo mugs in the past and they've been great, so it's a big disappointment that these mugs leak so much. It wouldn't be so bad if it was only 1 mug, but all three have done it in less than a year.

The seal was stretched out and all we did was take the lid on and off the cup. Tried finding replacements and can not seem to locate any. Great cup have an older one and have not had any problems but got another one and the seal is junk. Thought I found the perfect cup but now disjointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Paul O from Waste of money! When it works, this mug is wonderful. Unfortunately it only works for a short while before the gasket in the lid comes off and goes missing. When you order new gaskets (necessary to maintain a good seal) you will find it virtually impossible to fit the gasket into the lid. I am certain Contigo is aware of this issue, but they have not addressed or fixed it.

I have two, so I never have to leave the house without one. I drink water throughout the day and night, and no other bottle that I’ve tried keeps the water icy cold for 16 hours or more. I keep one on my nightstand so I can take a sip if I wake during the night, without fear of anything creeping into the cup while I’m asleep. Wouldn’t know what to do without it. I now have my 5 1/2 year old grand girl hooked on it too. It’s tight seal and break resistant body are definitely a plus too.

My coffee stays super hot, and even when I spent more money on other brands, those mugs NEVER kept my coffee hot like this one does! I also would like to praise the absence of the annoying rubber seal you find on most coffee cups. I have had many cups with the rubber seal and it seems so unsanitary because it is difficult to clean and it falls apart! The fact that this cup doesn't have that is actually why I bought it. First cup I've found that doesn't have it. Five stars for how well made the product is, and if I could add five more, I would for how easy it is to clean!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Chris1016 from Snap seal — not a fan I’ve owned two other Contigo auto seal travel mugs in the past and they lasted for years, working perfectly, before I had them replaced because I damaged them. My wife bought me the Byron snap seal for Christmas and it worked well for two weeks before the snap seal failed. The rubber ball/gasket under the lid used to seal must have fallen off during the time I hand washed the product. My travel mug no longer keeps the drink hot/cold, but leaks as well from where you drink.

I spill every time because I try to keep my lips on the very edge to make room for my nose. Very poorly designed lid. Hoping a I can get a refund and buy a different style because I love the body of he mug itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JRB71 from Top draw thermal mug I am a member of the British Military and the 16oz and 20oz flask fits nicely in the ammo pouch of issued belt kit, I have used this item for a year and still going strong. If you like me spend many hours outdoors then this is the flask you need, this flask lives up to its claims and keeps hot drinks hot for hours (6 hours tested but I finished brew) I would suggest that you check the lid if you do put in a dishwasher as the rubber seal does pop at higher temperatures but easy to push back in. Ideal for long journeys in a car and fits in a cup holder although the 20oz is a bit tight. I have read some negative reviews but I have not had the same problem the flask is tough( I have dropped mine many times) I have bought for friends and colleges ad presents and they also agree a top draw item. Highly recommend

It lasted about 2-3 months before coming loose and now coffee leaks out the side when drinking, so it’s basically useless since no one would drink out of a mug that spills all over. It’s also hard to pop the top mechanism that opens the mug (def could not do it with one hand while driving for example), which was not ideal even before it broke. It is great for keeping beverages hot or cold.

Rated 3 out of 5 by gadget girl from Where can I get another O-ring for my mug? I like how my Contigo mug keeps my coffee and tea hot. Also, I like that it doesn’t leak. However, the O-ring in the snap lid is missing which causes the mug to leak. I am hoping that you can send another O-ring or that you can tell me who sells food grade O-rings so that I can still use the mug. I hate to think that I have to throw the mug and lid away because of a missing O-ring. I have recommended these mugs to others and have purchased them as gifts. I would like to keep doing so, but that depend on whether I can replace the missing O-ring. The picture I am sending has an O-ring in the lid which is the same size as the lid with the missing O-ring. Thank you for any assistance you can give me with this matter.
