Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Concept - Failed to Deliver I have kidney issues requiring me to drink 3 liters of water a day. To alleviate the issue of hydrating so often I looked for a water bottle of 32oz or greater capacity (1 liter was my target) that could take ice from my ice machine and make the task of drinking my target goal of 3 liters a day easier. Initially the 32 oz autoseal cortland was perfect for this task. Within in a few months however it started leaking. Today after semi-retiring the bottle due to finding a 1 liter wide mouth BPA free replacement I decided to see if I could figure out how to keep using this bottle. Like another reviewer I noticed a sheared peg between the two major components of the lid responsible for the leak. As a result I googled and found that Contigo sells replacement lids for the cortland. The reviews on the lid replacement made me decide that I should not continue to invest in this product and it was not a cheap purchase from the grocery store I found it in. I purchased because it was great features compared to the others on the shelf and met and exceeded the criteria I was looking for. Considering the number of not recommends I am seeing I decided that I should let others know not to purchase this product due to it not delivering on the feature set Contigo says it can perform. I did leave a review on the lid replacement page, but felt compelled to leave an additional review of the full product I purchased. This bottle would have been the perfect solution except for its inability to work as expected after a short period of time (a few months).
