Has been difficult to get coffee out because the seal is not opening all the way. Today it actually dripped on me. If I could get another lid I will stay with this cup.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lid failure on Contigo AutoSeal travel mug Overall, I’ve been very happy with the quality of Contigo products. I use the AUTOSEAL® travel mug daily for my commute, and I appreciate that it keeps my coffee hot for an extended period of time. The controlled, push-button opening is especially convenient while driving, as it prevents spills and makes it easy to drink safely on the go. However, like several other reviewers have noted, the lid mechanism has unfortunately stopped working. This has been quite frustrating, particularly because I rely on this mug every day for my commute. I chose to spend a bit more on this product because of Contigo’s reputation for quality and durability, and up until the lid issue, it performed exactly as expected, Ideally, I would prefer to replace only the lid; however, that does not appear to be an available option. As a result, I am now searching for a replacement travel mug. Unfortunately, due to this experience with the lid failure, I am hesitant to invest in a higher-priced option again if I may ultimately need to replace the entire mug.

Lid & handle design better than others. Intriguing stopper/vent uses one hand. IF I keep it.... I'll have a warranty claim !!

After reading several other reviews, it appears this is a common problem. At this price point, I expect higher quality.

However, it suddenly started leaking rapidly around the plastic/steel interface. The rubber gasket seems to be intact but the leak is bad enough to render the mug useless. So sad.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice mug, but flawed lid mechanism I too am having the problem with the trigger no longer fully opening the seals. On top of that, coffee will dribble out of the top of the lid at what appesrs to be an access cover for part of the trigger mechanism. Otherwise I love the cup

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great customer service. I have a lot of Contigo mugs, from the Handled Autoseal, to various sized West Loop Autoseal mugs. I also have other types of mugs and water bottles from Contigo. While I've had some issues with the painted ones chipping, they hold up really well for me. I recently had an issue with my handled autoseal mug, that I've had for years. The lid was no longer opening properly and nothing was coming out when I squeezed. I was simply going to buy a new lid, but couldn't find them for sale anywhere, not even on this site, so I filled out a form under the lifetime warranty, for a replacement lid. Within 15 minutes or less, I had an email from the company with a shipment order for an entirely new mug. It arrived in two days, at my door. I was astounded at the efficiency of their response. I simply uploaded a few pictures and that was that. The best customer service that I've ever had from a company, period, hands down, drop the mic and walk away. I'm only giving a slightly lower rating on design and quality, because of the paint finish chipping on the older models that I have.
