This enables me to stick it in my backpack's waterbottle pocket without fear of spills. The lid is cleverly designed so that you push the sip release latch from the opposite side from where you sip out of, first time I've seen that. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the sizeable lid. It has inner compartments for the liquid to travel through but it's hard to know how full the travel mug is when lid encompasses the amount of space that it does. Overall I think this is a great product though.

It’s difficult to Open and clean, I’ve had the lid closed and screwed on with hot tea in the mug and opened the top only to find the inner lid popped open! I accidentally tipped my cup one day and my tea spilled everywhere and the lid was closed with the lock on. The inner part of the lid is also too bulky and heavy! Please Go back to the previous lids!

NO metal or chemical taste at all. The best cup for coffee I've ever used. And I've had hundreds of coffee cups. Lol. You press the big silver button, that opens the drink hole. Push the little lock on the side of it to keep that hole closed tightly. Then throw it into bag & go. Yes it works that well. No spills. Make sure cover is on correctly & tight. Believe it or not, but my coffee actually tastes better in this cup. Stays hot long time. Enjoy it like we do. My husband also loves it. We've tried several cups & this is the right one. The button is in the perfect place. Just need to remember to push it. Lol. It becomes natural fast. Trust me you will love it.

It fits nicely in my purse and goes great with the colors I have. I did burn myself thinking my coffee had gone cold a few hours later and was surprised it was still hot. I love that I can put it in the dishwasher so it goes in at night for use in the morning. My favorite part is a tie between the teabag hook and the locking mechanism because I don't have to worry about my tea bag sinking to the bottom or for my toddler to get a hold of my pipping hot drinks.

It truly lives up to its promise of being leak-proof and spill-proof—no more accidents in my bag! The AUTOSEAL® button is super convenient—press to drink, release to seal. I love how THERMALOCK insulation keeps my coffee hot for hours (seriously, it’s still warm by lunchtime) and cold drinks icy well into the day. I personally use it for keeping my drink cold. I fill it up with ice and water at the start of my day and it keeps my drink cold all day. It has a button to press to open the slot to drink from. It also has a lock to lock the button so it doesn't accidentally open. I haven't noticed any leakage and I use this bottle a lot and it has knocked over a few times (thanks to my cat). The stainless steel is thick enough that I don't notice any condensation on the bottle either. This would work great for keeping hot beverages hot as well. This is a high quality bottle. I highly recommend it.

Most travel mugs have problems with leaks but this travel mag provides leak-proof that I can lock the mug opening while carrying which makes me feel safe. Also, I can clean it easily as It has just two parts such as a lid and bottle, and Inside the bottle is wide. One bad thing about this product is I should push the button on the lid strongly to open when I want to drink. It makes me tired and I don’t think it is suitable for women but overall, The product is satisfying.

The design is thoughtfully made for easier and complete cleaning, which I’ve seen lacking in other brands. I have to take off a star for the simple fact that you have to push the button with every sip; I wish you could lock the mouth open just like you can lock it shut. This seems like it would be a simple fix to make this travel mug the best it can be. I tested the lid’s seal by shaking the mug and turning it on its side and upside down - no leaks!

Contents are HOT HOT HOT [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, I would not have purchased this because I normally don't like travel mugs that have a push to open drinking mechanisms, but I must say, this one sold me. I actually love it! 1st off, I love the color. It's like a pewter color that looks aged. Haven't seen his finish before on mugs. It holds heat so well that I actually got tired of waiting to drink my tea that I took the lid off to cool it off. Cleaning is a breeze, I like that I can fully open it to get any gunk out. It is also leak proof. I haven't dropped it, but I did turn it over to check, and nothing came out. All in all, great little mug for those of us who need to remain caffinated on the go

So much so that I woke up and still had ice in my water bottle from the night before. Although, I think my favorite part of my Contigo is that it doesn’t leak. I can just throw it in my bag and head out without worrying about anything. Also it’s super easy to clean. I’ve bought other stainless steel water bottles and didn’t realize THERE WAS MOLD IN THERE because I couldn’t see around the dark crevices. I’m so glad that won’t be a problem anymore with this one.

The color is beautiful and the size is perfect! I love the lock because I’m clumsy and topple over cups all the time! Now I can lock and not worry about leaks! I love that the cap has an extra notch that can be opened for easy cleaning! I don’t have to worry about liquid getting stuck! I do wish it kept my tea hot a bit longer but it does last a few hours. My cold beverages stay cold for a while and it makes it easier for me to get my water it. I love it!

Years ago my Mother and I did a "project" together.We bought one of every travel mug we could find and wrote each other notes on their benefits and their pitfalls. We had great fun doing and I'm happy to report that the CLEAR WINNER was the Contigo West Loop! It even beat out the Contigo West Loop 2.0 for it's locking switch. We probably tested a hundred bottles, and now Mom is gone, and my cupboard houses 25 West Loops!

The lid is easy to secure on (but surprisingly, isn’t difficult to open) and the travel mug itself is very sturdy and seems to be designed to maintain durability over a long period of time. It also comes with an automatic sealer, so it’s leak proof, and overall, I think it has an incredibly versatile, well thought out design. Perfectly convenient for coffee and other warm drinks. Lastly, I find them very pretty! Mine had a elegant metallic, light green hue to it and lovingly brightens the atmosphere where it’s been placed. It’s guaranteed to satisfy 😘

I love how the frosted look matches the Winter time, when I need this to keep my drinks warm. The color is even prettier and shinier in person. This is a great unisex gift for any coffee/warm drink drinker! The mug is leak proof and easy to clean (I hand-wash all of my water bottles). It fits in my car cup holder which is a huge plus, as most of my water bottles/mugs do not. The outside does not get too hot so you can carry it or hold it if needed. I recommend this mug!

I’m always excited to see how Contigo redesigns their leak proof lids to make cleaning easier. The west loop 3.0 is so different that can’t even figure out how the beverage gets past the closed lid. I have high hopes for this model. Please tell us, Contigo, how does it work???

When not in use you and also lock the mug completely. I took the mug apart to clean and that to was very easy to access and clean all parts. The texture of the outside of the mug i also loved because it made for an easier grip to hold onto the product. You can place the lid into the dishwasher top rack to wash or you can hand-wash. You are to hand wash the mug itself which is very easy. I have a trip scheduled soon and can't wait to bring this me for my coffee. It kept my coffee as warm as it was coming out of the coffee pot for hours. I 10 out of 10 recommend this mug. This one is called agave and I love it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by 12contigos from Lid is terribly uncomfortable to drink from I own a lot of contigo mugs and water bottles and love them all until this one. The deep lip on the lid is terrible. My west loop 1.0 and 2.0 with the flat lip are far more comfortable to drink from. While the new lid is easy to lock and clean compared to the old versions I find it uncomfortable and messy to drink from. I bought this because replacement lids for the 2.0 have become impossible to find (I own 3 of the 2.0). This will be the only 3.0 I own and I won't buy any future versions without a good look at the lid first.

The smart mechanism on this one really sold me, with its auto seal and lock features. I can simply drink my coffee/tea on the go with one hand by pressing the button and sipping. The mug closes automatically when releasing the button, which is super convenient and smart so you don’t have to worry about leaks. The insulation is decent and drinks can stay hot for few hours. The only downside to this mug I would say is the ease of cleaning. There’s a bit of crevices that can get hard to reach/clean which can get dirty/moldy over time. For now it has not been an issue yet though.

Hot drinks stay warm for about 4-5 hours and cold drinks stay warm for almost the whole day. The main advantage is that it is 100% airtight: you can throw it in your bag without worrying about spills. It has a lock to protect it from spills. Very convenient to open with one hand, which is especially useful when traveling or driving. The quality of materials is top notch - the plastic does not absorb odors, and the metal body is durable and pleasant to the touch. The only nuance - if you pour boiling water, the walls get warm, but this is not critical. In general, a great option for those who are looking for a reliable and convenient thermo cup. Recommended!

The Contigo brand is good quality and reliable. This Vacuum - Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Mug is no exception. The design is simple and easy to use. The green glittery color stands out amongst the mostly steel colors of other brands. It fits in most cup holders. I love that it has a vacuum seal manual lock. When you are not drinking you can lock the mouth piece to avoid spilling. I have not see this feature in other mouth pieces. This is amazing for people on the go. It also keeps your drinks hot or cold for hours. I have been using this mug daily and don’t need any other ones now. Just knowing I have the ability to lock the mouth piece is great!

I started my journey with a Contigo Byron SnapSeal that was on sale. I was amazed by it's stylish simplicity all the while maintaining perfectly even temperatures throughout my work day. Hot coffee stayed hot. Cold soda stayed cold with very little ice diluting the soda throughout the day. And the durability was just what this clumsy, rugged girl needed. No spills. Truly a Grown-ups Sippy Cup! Shhh. I thought things couldn't get any better, until I mistakenly bought the Contigo 20 oz.West Loop AutoSeal Thermal Mug. Oh my God! A push button with a vacuum seal has replaced the SnapSeal on the lid. Just press and sip. Best mistake I have ever made! You just cannot be at this travel cup for size or notability or price. Plan on taking it everywhere with you, including the Apocalypse. I would almost guarantee that it would survive if it survives me. The colors are fantastic too.
