Good quality water jug. Could be improved.
Good quality water jug with one design flaw. Could be improved. Nice jug. Heavier plastic than other jugs. Superior valve design that allows you to adjust valve assembly with dispenser opening facing straight down. No leaks when laid on its side in dispenser mode. Other competitive jugs do not allow you to adjust where dispenser opening points and often leak when assembled. Really like everything about this jug except the valve only opens about 2/3 before it hits a stop restricting water flow. Why would a superior product in so many ways restrict water flow by as much as 1/3? It will not prevent me from enjoying its benefits but this flaw prevents me from giving this product a 5 star rating. I recommend changing the valve design by moving or removing the stop where the valve rotates to give full water flow and this would be the best water jug that I have used.

"Screw Top Lid" does not "Stay Secure"
This was purchased for potable water as part of our hurricane Lee preparation. The screw top lid does not stay tight and allows the contents to pour out. We ended up with more water damage from the Coleman Chiller than we did from Hurricane Lee.

Not functional -Can't lay on its side to dispense
The lid can not be sealed and water pours out when container is laid on its side to pour into cup.
We inspected the lid and gasket and tried several times to tighten JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT. Always lets water out where it is supposed to be sealed. Intended to use it where we are remodeling a house, NOT always outside. CAN'T be laid on its side.
Also, it is thick plastic BUT I would not consider it insulated. Purchased at Lowes and listed as "Insulated"

JUNK. Do not buy. Defective caps.
Bought two of these new online from a national retailer. Both caps pop off easily. One was so bad it could not be used. The other failed within two fills. This product is unreliable and the manufacturer has known about defective caps for months. Unfortunate as other Coleman products are generally reliable.

Great Container.
Sturdy container and made in the USA. Opening is wide enough to fill with a hose and the vent is in a perfect spot so as not to leak. Container will lay flat for easy dispensing. my only complaint is there are no recesses on the container for stacking.

vent covers broken off
very poor design and super poor customer service. i bought 2 of this last summer, both vent covers are broken off. tried to contact their customer service but no live person and no way to find the replacement parts.

Worked well until it became trash.
I used this water carrier for about 5 years and it worked well, but the plastic valve and the air release/stopper both deteriorated over time. I checked online for replacement parts, and I believe the parts are unavailable. So now I have a large piece of plastic to discard. I had to get a more durable water carrier from another manufacturer.

They should&hellip;as often as they break. I went to the Reliance brand 5 gal carrier&hellip;10 times better than this piece of crap valve&hellip;and you can buy OE replacements if needed&hellip;.and less $$$. Goodbye Coleman !
