Rated 3 out of 5 by JacobM from Lots of water for the price, but leaky. I work outside as a highway technician, so water is a must. The gallon jug was a great purchase...or so I thought. It keeps my water cold, and my chest wet. The lid does not seal properly between the lid and the container, allowing water to drain (heavy dribble?) all over. It's quite frustrating for something designed to hold fluids. If it falls over in a truck, and you don't notice it, you just got a gallon of water all over the place. I've also had a few issues with the handle popping out of the side, but I'll chalk that up to the abuse I've put this thing through in the time I've had it. The jug itself is durable and easy to clean. If you're going to buy it, drink your water outside and lean over so you don't spill it all over yourself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by T Hat from Yeti Schmeti. This jug will last your whole life. The only water jug you will ever need. Had the half gallon jug for nearly 20 years. Why spend money on a Stanley or Yeti when you can have the original king: Coleman. Lately it's been over 100 degrees where I live, and I quickly learned than a half gallon on water is not enough for playing tennis for hours in the heat, so I upgraded to the gallon jug. I almost felt like a won some sort of prize because it was only $12. That's right. $12 for something that is going to last me another 20 years and make sure I don't run out of water when I need it. It has a handle and a spicket to drink from. I again ask, literally, what more could you possible want from a insulated water jug?

Rated 2 out of 5 by Un-Happy Camper from Leaks out top if on side & also spout drip upright I have bought the 1 gallon and 2 gallon chiller water jugs. Both of the jugs leak out lid if on the side. Luckily I had them in a plastic box that collected all the water. It would help if the lid that you screw on had a rubber ring seal to help prevent leaks. Also, the 2 gallon chiller has a very slow drip leak out the faucet. We made sure the button was not pushed in. Both were returned after the first use. 09/2022. Please bring back Coleman quality! I did like the 2 gallon size and color. Sorry that it did not work out.

I like to use it for water or I fill it up with ice and put in some can drinks. There is a handy spout in top that makes pouring easy. The large handle feels good in the hand. I love it for warm days outdoors. Highly recommended!

The insulation is strong enough to keep drinks cold for hours, even in direct sun, and the spout design makes it easy to pour or drink without leaks. The handle is sturdy, and overall it feels like a jug built to survive rough use — perfect for workdays, the gym, or long drives. Pro Tip: I get better cooling by adding a handful of ice cubes frozen inside a zip-seal bag. That way the ice lasts longer and doesn’t water down whatever I’m drinking, which keeps the flavor consistent and the jug cold for much more time.

The Coleman Chiller&trade; 1-Gallon Water Jug typically does not have a clearly marked &ldquo;1-gallon fill line&rdquo; inside the jug. However, here's what you can do:
 
- Fill a standard 1-gallon container (like a milk jug or measuring pitcher), then pour it into the Coleman jug once. The water level will show you where the fill point is inside, you can even mark it discreetly on the inner wall with a food-safe marker if needed.
