Break a pole? No worries, the Coleman® Tent Pole Replacement Kit makes repairs easy. To replace a damaged individual pole section within a fiberglass pole, please use the Coleman® Tent Pole Repair Kit instead.
IMPORTANT: The pole sections in the replacement kit may need to be cut to match the length of the broken pole section on your specific tent. Refer to the manual for detailed instructions on how to use the replacement kit.

Not what I was expecting
It was not clear from the item description that this "replacement" came totally disassembled. In addition to requiring assembly, the poles in this kit are a different length than the original poles, so I will need to use a saw to shorten them before assembly. Item description should make clear that this is more of a "repair" kit than a "replacement" kit.

Not what I would expect but it worked out
I have a Sundome 2P. The shock cord in one of my poles broke (tent is approx. 2 yrs old). Online, as far as I can tell, there's no difference between the "replacement kit" and "repair kit". To me it appears the "replacement kits" and "repair kits" are exactly the same and both come in pieces. Confused I contacted customer support and ordered the recommended "replacement kit".
I would assume a "replacement kit" would come as one piece, put together, ready to use. I'm quite surprised a company like Coleman doesn't provide ready to use replacement parts like that for their tents. I probably could have bought my own shock cord and repaired this myself, but thought I would go ahead and replace the whole pole for $14.
In the end I only used the shock cord that came with the kit to string the original tent pole back together. I'll keep the rest of it in case I break a pole. It worked out in the end so I'll give this product two stars (fair).

excellent instructions
The kits have more that is needed to do what I needed to do (replace the elastic in the tubes, not replace one, which there are instructions for). The instructions made it easy to replace the elastic, with instructions on how long to make the elastic and a tool to pull the elastic through.
A kit for just replacing an elastic would be helpful.

Inexpensive and easy repair for my tent
This was just the right size to replace a broken pole for my Coleman Sundome 4-person camping Cutting the pole to proper length was easy with a hack saw and took just a few seconds. My tent was back in service within just a few minutes. I used a caliper to measure the diameter of my existing poles and picked the matching size from the website.

Replacement for Splintered Tent Pole
The replacement kit worked perfect as I had to replace a splintered fiberglass pole broken while camping in high winds. Instructions were complete and easy to follow. The repaired pole worked great when we set up the tent. Still have enough parts to replace a couple of more poles as my Coleman tents age.

Worked super well!
Worked just as described and instructions were clear as well. I also recommend the "How to Repair a Broken Tent Pole - Coleman Replacement Kit" YouTube video by the Handy Homeowner if you get stuck. Used the tent and repaired poles twice now since fixing it.

I ordered this kit so as to repair a broken pole on our Willow Pass tent. It was usable for that purpose. It wasn't helpful that the instructions immediately suggest that I order a pole repair kit (8.5 mm) instead, because apparently there is no such thing at present, which explains why I didn't order that. The instructions are clear and detailed, and it should be simple to include directions to repair a broken pole. I considered building a new pole instead, but I quickly realized that I would need another kit like the one I had just bought in order to do that. It would have been nice to know that up front. Another comment: The tent's original poles are white; the pole sections in this kit are black. I now have one pole which is integrated, and that is not a problem per se, but consider this: we often drive hundreds of miles in a day and arrive at our campground late at night. Yes, we have a decent lantern, but in my experience, poles that are apt to disappear into the shadows are not your friends when you're pitching a tent in the dark.

Great Kit
This kit is great for repairing broken tent poles. The Scout Troop will likely buy again and buy the other diameters when needed. Much better to teach Scouts how to repair rather than replace and this kit allows for "any" length to be custom cut.

not easy to thread the shock cord
The neddle is very delcate and not easy to hook on the shock cord and the needle and cord together were as large as the hole in the fiberglass wands thus making the threading not as easy as I would have expected.

Great instructions and high-quality material. Only 4 stars because it would have been nice if the kit included a small amount of super glue or a single-use blade instead of requiring me to have a hack saw.
