Hi, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, your Coleman Power Chill 5640 cooler will not light up if it is not plugged into a power source. The cooler requires a connection to either a 12-volt DC power supply or a 120-volt AC power supply to operate. If you are testing it out, make sure it's properly connected to a power source to check its functionality. If you have any more questions, please contact us directly via our official Coleman website contact-us page https://www.colemancanada.ca/support/contact-us or via Live chat, and we will be happy to assist you. Thank you and have a good day! Coleman Consumer Care

Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issues with your Coleman Power Supply Adapter for the Thermoelectric Cooler. The flashing red LED light and green connector flashing typically indicate a power supply or connection issue. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try: 1. Ensure that the power supply adapter is properly plugged into a working power outlet and securely connected to the cooler. 2. Try resetting the cooler by unplugging the power supply adapter, waiting for a few minutes, and then plugging it back in. 3. Plug the power supply adapter into a different power outlet to rule out issues with the current outlet. If these steps do not resolve the issue and the unit still does not run, please contact us via https://www.coleman.com/support/contact-us or through Live Chat so we can help you further. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am – 8pm Eastern Time. Thank you! Coleman Consumer Care
