With the provided great being so high off the burner, it would take forever to boil water. Had to weld up my own stainless steel grate so that the percolator would sit closer to the eye and it still takes 20 minutes to boil water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rmac from Great for two person car camping This stove is great it heats well, is compact, and is easy to use. I do wish the grate had a clip or something so it didn't slide out of the well when it's time for storage, but that is minor. We have it in a Plano box we use as a mess kit so once it is in there it's pretty secure. The only suggestion would be to put the knobs for the gas and the sparker on the same side. It's a little too wide with them on opposite sides to neatly store away. Otherwise I think this will be a great addition to our camp gear. We had no issues with the flame flickering in the light breezes we encountered. It seems that as long as you're not cooking in a head on wind it would do well. Cooled down quickly, and packed away neatly. Thank you Coleman for offering American made products that are well built.

It's not gimbaled, so it might not be suitable for your yacht, and it's too large for a backpacking stove, but if you're camping out of a vehicle, the Cascade 18's burner/heat control is wonderfully infinite in it's ability to adjust the burner flame. No wind blocking baffles? Improvise. No case or carrying bag? Improvise. This stove's wide square base and large grill surface make it very stable. But it's really all about the beautiful burner/heat control. With this stove you'll be able to set the exact heat for whatever delicacy you choose to prepare. I initially bought a Cascade 3-in-1 two burner stove, and it's perfect in all respects, but the single burner Cascade 18 does it all for me. And it's smaller and lighter than the 3-in-1.

With the stove, I purchased the stove griddle and accessory to prepare various items directly on the iron grills. Have not had any issues, the ignition is working find and assembly and clean-up is a breeze. Nice little grill, great for 1-2 people. I like the carry bag the accessories came in.

It has a smooth and lightweight design to it. It's very easy to attach the propane tank and get started on whatever you want to cook. I fixed everything from eggs and bacon to just boiling water with this stove.

Cannot give it a perfect rating because it lacks a carry case. This stove needs a carry case to store it in and protect it. Because of this I kind of wish I purchased a stove that comes with a carry case. I suggest Coleman address this.

We also had it at our house and used it when we had a power outage due to a storm. It was great having it here for that. We were still able to make and eat dinner. Definitely recommend this!!

I came across this Coleman Cascade Hickory stove. I like that this stove is adorable and compact. This one burner has a aluminized steel cooktop that is easy to clean. The burner also fits up to a 12 inch pan which allows you to cook a good amount of food at one time. The knob is easy to turn so that you can control the burner and temperature perfectly. I really like that I do not need matches or a lighter to light this stove. It turns on because of the Ignition. I like the color of the stove a lot. This burner will allow you to cook for 2.5 hours using the propane tank that is 16 oz. You will need to buy the propane tanks and replace them. We have used this burner a few times when camping and it has worked great. I like that I can be outside cooking while the kids play. It allows me to not have to be stuck inside making food. This is a great stove I definitely recommend it.

Though it wouldn’t be very ideal for someone backpacking who is trying to be ultralight, if you are going to a campsite and not worried about weight this is a great product. Cooks food fast and I have not had any problems with the product thus far.

It worked great for what we wanted, camping trips, and as a backup cooking source for emergencies. It's the perfect slim size to store away when not in use too. Pretty happy with it.

Thank you for your question. Please be advised that the performance of Coleman&reg; propane stoves will not be affected by temperatures above 0&deg;F or -18&deg;C. As the temperature drops below 0&deg;F, there will be a gradual reduction of maximum heat output down to -20&deg;F or -29&deg;C, where the stove may fail to function.

Altitudes above 10,000 feet will have an effect on both propane and liquid fuel stoves. Because of lower air pressure and decreased oxygen at these altitudes, you will experience more yellow flamess and less heat output. The stoves will not operate as efficiently.
