I have had many Coleman stoves over the years and have experienced difficulty turning down the gas flow. I have always been able to manage without incident until this little stove which, when lighted, sounded like a jet engine. The fuel was pooring out at high speed and was so hot that it melted the plastic handle on the stove. I was able to turn it off and using a screwdriver, reset the tension on the control knobs but the damage is done. Thankfully, I am not an anxious person or unable to deal with a stressful situation such as a gas driven fire. No one was hurt here but I can imagine others may be burned or a fire could start easily if this happens again to someone else. I am looking for a replacement handle, but not able to locate one. I won't buy this product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Maps from Affordable, Durable and Supremely Functional We have owned our Fold N Go for almost 10 years now and it still works like a charm. No better camp stove for the money. We get a lot of power outages where I live and we use it to boil water for tea, coffee, & Raman. Just the other evening, during a power outage we made Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches for 8 on it. A single 1lb tank of propane seems to last days, so very efficient. If I had any recommendation to make it better it would to make the burner controls a bit more sensitive as it is an acquired skill to be able to get it to produce a low flame without turning off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by B-dub Guy from Rugged, Versatile and trouble free for 2 decades. I bought this FoldNGo soon after it came out, I think. I made at least 12 trips into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Quetico with this stove. Also one trip into the Algonquin Provincial Park. My trips were typically for 10 days at a time. So a minimum of 100 days in a wilderness setting. I really liked its compact size and (relatively) light weight. Of course it is necessary to rig up some wind protection and that was easily done with a cheesy aluminum folding screen from a big box store. For a 10 day trip, I used 6 one pound propane bottles. I also used a backpack white gas stove to make our morning coffee to save propane. I also used ithe FoldNGo weekly for day trips to a river campsite I own. I bake Pillsbury French Bread and bake Orange Danishes in a small, lightweight backpacking oven (sadly, no longer made) that required a very low flame. To accomplish this, I used a wet paper towel placed under the bottom of the flame control knob and the table I sat the FoldNGo on. Excellent results. This stove worked well for me for more than 20 years.

I wanted something a little bigger than one of my backpacking stoves and smaller than the traditional two burner stoves. I’m using it for car camping trips on a long weekend. It’s has worked great so far. I can cook breakfast on one burner and boiler water for coffee on the other. Later in the day I can fire up the kettle for a spot of tea and set the eye on heat to fry a steak very fast and very delicious. Does a bang up job at less than a third of the price the competitors want to charge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by IanC from Nice product not for hArsh conditions Nice stove but some compromises. The stove is super easy to setup and light. The stove is stable and powerful enough it folds up easily but it is a litt fiddly to position the tube assembly inside to close up completely. The main compromise is that the stove has almost no wind protection and was slow to cook in the wind. To its credit it stayed alight and made my cup of tea but it was slower. I normally use the Colman dual fuel two burner stoves which have excellent wind protection but they are difficult for my friend to use with arthritic hands.

My trailer has limited storage space so this stove with its fold up design works great. I can fit 2 large pans/ pots on this no problem. I just wish that instead of propane bottles I would prefer to hook up this stove to the rv's propane lines with a quick connect attachement but as far as I can tell there isn't one available?

Even on the highest flame setting it takes forever to cook anything. I would love it if you could make lower grates so the pots are closer to the flames.

It takes forever to boil a pot of water, does not cook well because of no heat. There is no wind shields. i was so disappointed when i first used it on a camping trip. I replace the OEM grate with one that is about 1" lower and made a foldable wind shield using aluminum disposable tray. I would not recommend buying this stove unless Coleman redesigns the grates and add wind shields to it.

I made some circular windscreens for it which improved performance immensely. Wrote to Coleman to describe my efforts with pictures and received zero response. Guess they weren't interested.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy Guy from Just back from a 7 days camping trip. 5 stars. I bought mine in the 1990s and works like new. Used it a lot and often lent it to friends for their own travelling. Used it during power outages a few times. If you stick to camping/car trips this stove is hard to beat. I read a few reviews here talking about the height of the grill leading to fuel waste. Well, I think that's more because there's no wind screen on this stove so you have to make one or buy one if necessary (easy to find). The height looks standard to me and I have about 6 or 7 different stoves. Also, some review talks about salt water corroding the exterior of the stove since its metal. I guess that would be true with any (any) stove with metallic shells and components. These stoves gets really hot. They cannot be made of PVC or plastic. Aluminum ? Maybe. I don't know. Anyway, 5 out of 5 easily for ease of use, (relative) packability and size, power and reliability.

I use my older Coleman stove regularly but found the flame height hard to control at low heat.The Amazon price was $135, $99 for the black option. I decided to check prices on the Coleman site and was thrilled to find it for $94 and free shipping. This stove is a great addition to my camp gear. I love the folding design and easy to carry handle. I also purchased the carry bag with the pockets for propane tanks. It keeps everything together and easy to store and find. The push-to-ignite option is very handy. The stove is easy to clean, too. The only reason I didn't give this stove five stars is because the flame size is difficult to control, same as the older Coleman stove I've had for years. I've used the Fold N Go for 2 trips so far and really enjoy the ease of set up, cleaning, and storing. I keep my camp griddle in the carry bag, too.

The flame level is not stable and increases over time even though it was not touched. 10 years ago it did not cost $130.00 dollars but if I spent that much and had the problems I have I would NOT be happy.

I feel like the execution on this was very a very version 1.0 product. It's great for what it is and is very affordable for the category, but a few small upgrades in the next generation could easily put this over the top.

Boils water fast, enough room to cook gourmet meals, easy to clean and folds up small making it easy to store. We have used ours for 5 years+ and ended up getting rid of our other stoves because this one is simply the best.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Andrewj from Very disappointed After about two months of searching and researching for a stove that ticket all boxes on my requirements list, I finally came across this stove and was very excited to try it out. Love the look and concept but unfortunately it has been a little disappointing . First thing I noticed was the poor quality of the knobs, they feel very cheap and turn like a buckled wheel. Second, the knobs turn about two revolutions with no adjustment to the flame at all. All the adjustment is in the first half turn from simmer to full. Third , I tried to boil one litter of water in an eight inch pot with a lid and indoors (well ventilated) and it took eight minutes to start to boil and did not achieve a rolling boil. That was very surprising for a 10,000 BTU rated stove. I'm not sure it's because the grill is so high off the flame. I actually turned it off after ten minutes. I wanted to like this stove so much because it was perfect for what I wanted but I'm afraid it one of those things you make do with instead of something great.
