A perfect camping companion
I’ve been using the Coleman Even-Temp Propane Stove for a few camping trips now, and overall, it’s been a solid piece of gear. The biggest win for me is how evenly it cooks. Unlike some camp stoves where one side feels like it’s on “volcano mode” and the other is barely warm, this one does a great job at distributing heat. I’ve made pancakes, eggs, and even a decent stir-fry without burning half the pan.
Setup is straightforward, and the propane hookup feels secure. The burners light up quickly, and I really like the control knobs—they actually give you some precision instead of just “off” or “high.” The size is also great; it comfortably fits three pans, which makes cooking for a group a lot less stressful. It’s efficient too as the gas lasts
Now, for the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5: it’s not the most compact or lightweight stove out there. It takes up a fair amount of space when packing, and carrying it around isn’t as convenient as some of the slimmer models. Also, on a windy day, even with the side shields, the flame can struggle a bit—so you’ve got to position it carefully.
All in all, though, this is a reliable, well-built stove that makes camp cooking way easier and more enjoyable. If you don’t mind the bulk, you’ll love how well it performs.

Place the stove on a flat, stable outdoor surface. 2. Open the lid fully. 3. Attach a standard 16.4 oz propane cylinder to the regulator on the side of the stove by turning it clockwise until secure. 4. Slowly turn on the propane at the tank. 5. Turn the burner knob to the &ldquo;Light/High&rdquo; position and ignite. This stove does not have a built-in thermostat. The temperature is controlled manually using the burner knobs on the front. Turning the knob adjusts the flame level. Please remember to use the stove outdoors only and ensure connections are secure before lighting.
