Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Coleman Dual Fuel Stove I bought my Coleman 414 dual fuel stove back in the 1990s for tailgating at Bills games. It has served me well and cooked loads of chili, peppers and onions and other tailgate meals, in all kinds of weather. I don’t go to many games, but still use it for our annual camping trips, VRBO cottage rentals and atv trips. I recommend using Coleman fuel rather than gasoline as the additives in gas I wouldn’t want around my food and any ethanol in these stoves or lanterns pulls in water and will rust your tanks fast from the inside. This is a great stove, I’m hoping to buy a new one once in stock as mine is well used and a little bent. I can put two huge 12” pots on it and it’s really good on fuel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Straightforward cooking while camping We camp at higher elevations and the winds can become unpredictable. This stove has handled them well. It’s slightly larger than a briefcase which we tuck away in the back of our 4 runner. Appreciate the dual burners - I can cook eggs on one side while boiling water on the other. I’d rank this high on safety and accessibility as it uses unleaded fuel or white gas so no need for a tank. The legs at the bottom are a nice feature as you can place it on a counter or table an will provide a nice ai gap underneath. I think this is for folk that actually like to cook vs warming things up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gas leak The stove arrived with a gas leak. Way out in the woods when we learned this and could not use it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent campstove! We waited for a cold day to try this campstove since it says it is recommended for temperatures below 40. We used it when it mid 20’s outside. It took awhile for me to get the temperature right so at first it was cooking very slowly. It’s ok since eggs aren’t meant to be cooked fast. Once the eggs were finished I turned up the heat to high for the potatoes. I learned later that I could have set the auxiliary burner to a lower temperature while the main burner was set to high. In essence, the only trouble I had was trial and error as I learn. Overall the stove works great and can fit 2 pans. One regular sized and one small size. Thanks Coleman. Can’t wait to use this on a camping trip!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality decreased This stove model has been around for decades for good reasons. It has traditionally been built to last. It allows for refilling the fuel tank instead of adding more used up fuel tanks to landfills or having to figure out how to recycle them for most other camp stoves available today. I got one of these to replace the one handed down to me from my parents after decades of good use. The new one does not work out of the box. The fuel leaks instead of feeding to the burners. So very disappointed and hoping Colman improves the construction or design to be as reliable as they used to be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't possibly go wrong This is what perfection looks like. I had one since high school (1973) and thought it was time for an upgrade. I'm so thankful for Coleman and their contribution to the outdoors!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coleman let us down when we really needed you. I am hugely disappointed in Coleman. We just got pummeled by hurricane Helene and have no power, and my brand new out-of-the-box Guide Series stove has a bad valve/generator assembly and won't run. I have tried at least 10 times, and I've used Coleman stoves and lanterns my whole life. All I wanted to do was make my neighbors a hot cup of coffee since they have an 80-year old oak tree in their living room now. Luckily, my 90-year old dad gave me his 426-D (from 1966) about a month ago and it saved us. And before you folks at Coleman go giving yourselves a pat on the back, the 426-D is from from an altogether different generation of Coleman folks: folks that cared about the quality of products they made and sold, folks that took pride in what they did. Those people have long since left the Coleman company. There's nobody at the Coleman company that has anything to do with the 426-D that came through for us. This Guide Series stove is junk. And I don't recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! This little portable stove is awesome. Perfect for outdoor cooking. I cannot wait to take my first camping trip of the year and this thing is going to be the highlight. It’s slightly heavy, but the best part is that you don’t need a gas tank. It’s run by butane fluid and you fill the little tank in front and turn it on. It’s easy to turn on and off and you just use a match to light it up. As you can see from the attached photo, it gets a good flame and fits two pots/pans. The top closes well and then you can tote it anywhere you want. Compact enough to store. It’s perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good I'm having some difficulty getting consistent heat output. I've followed all the manufacturers instructions and watched several tutorial videos and the situation persists. I think I may have received a defective model?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed in Quality and Performance I bought this Guide Series® Dual Fuel™ Stove about a year ago and kept it in the box, planning to use it for fall or winter camping. Those plans were delayed due to an overseas trip, but I finally used it over the Independence Day weekend. I grew up using this style of stove and owned a similar one about 20 years ago, so I was expecting top-notch quality—especially from Coleman. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The build quality felt cheap and not up to the standard I remembered. The gas canister didn’t seat properly in the grooves, making setup frustrating. Worse, I could never get the second burner to ignite, no matter how many times I tried. This wasn’t due to inexperience—I’ve used these stoves for years. After paying nearly $190, I expected something reliable and well-made. Sadly, this felt like a poor-quality imitation of the original design. I can’t recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but mighty stove! You know that winter storm a short while back that took out the power for a whole lot of people in the Midwest? Well, we caught in that and this little guy came in super handy! Not only is it compact, lightweight, and portable for camping, but it was great to have in a pinch when the power was out. It's very easy to set up and everything can be packed away into a little suitcase ready to go. The cooking space is a decent size and it was easy to clean up after we're done. I'll always keep it ready not just during camping season, but in winter too!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product arrived non-functional Product arrived unable to function as the tube that delivers fuel from the tank to the igniter is misaligned. This was a gift for my dad, who was understandably disappointed when he received the stove. He sent in a warranty claim and in almost a month he has not heard back. I have emailed customer service and have also received NO correspondence. I would obviously like for this to be corrected either by Coleman sending a new fuel tank or a whole new unit, but it is hard to imagine a solution when we cannot even get an email back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very unhappy. Huge waste of my money I wish I had not spent my money on this stove, because for the price it has too many issues. Every time I use it, the grate gets hot and melts into the green paint on the stove leaving it looking abused. And more importantly It won’t really stay lit for a sustained period, especially if you try to simmer. Ive watched every video on these things and read all the Coleman forum posts but I still can’t get it stop going out while I’m cooking. Overall I find this stove to be stressful and unreliable and would return it if I still had my box because I just got, I also bought a Coleman lantern at the same time so I could run everything on Coleman fuel but since the stove doesn’t really work good I’m stuck with the lantern and a propane stove which means I have to carry another fuel source.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like to see “Pro” version I have owned one of these for 30+ years and have recently purchased a second one to have two, and they have never failed to operate for me. They are still stored in the original boxes and have been gently used and the body still tends to bend easily in areas, especially from fuel tank movement when stored.I give it 4 stars for that reason. I wish Coleman would sell a “Pro Series Dual Fuel Stove” version that would comfortably hold 2-12” pots/pans and be constructed from a heavier material like 20 or 18 gage steel. The fuel tank is bulletproof. The grate is heavy duty. The burners are flawless. Why not beef up the body a little. Throw a pre-order form out there and if enough people bite, make it. You can’t seem to keep the Guide Series® Dual Fuel™ Stove on the shelf.

Tough, reliable, and perfect for cooking breakfast or frying up a fresh catch by the bay. 💪 Not the lightest stove, but it’s built to last. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A timeless workhorse I've wanted one of these for years and finally got it! I am very pleased with the quality. I'm pleasantly surprised that mine was manufactured here in the U.S.A. Got it out of the box, fueled it up, and started using it. I'm looking forward to years of use. It will complement my basic Coleman propane stove. I'm a big fan of Coleman Dual Fuel equipment. I've had a Dual Fuel Lantern that has provided 34 years of flawless performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from American-Made Bacon-Slayer Bought to replace an older model that had taken a walk (red tank, ~50yrs old). Same bulletproof reliable design. Makes plenty of heat and runs a good amount of time on a tank of fuel (Coleman Fuel/white gas), and for how we use it for truck camping, we prefer it over the units powered by all natural clean-burning propane. Built like a tank too just like the old one. Still made in USA too. I love it. Time to make some bacon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of Kind ... I owned a Coleman dual fuel stove years ago and it always performed flawlessly; the Guide Series continues with the same high end performance. The stove has plenty of heat, it's easy to operate, and fuel efficient. I use it in summer to bake outside rather than heating up the house. The dual fuel is so much more versatile over propane. Excellent value! Coleman should bring back the three burner model.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to figure out It takes a long time to figure out how to use this stove, which is fine, except if you’re camping with friends and sharing it and have to do step by step tutorials for each person using it. Also the fuel did seem to Leak at some point which caused a mini fire in the stove. Overall frustrating user experience and even after following the complicated instructions it didn’t seem to function well or feel safe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coleman Dual fuel Stove This is not my 1st Dual fuel Coleman. I love it ! The earlier stoves were used to the point of wearing out (many years) This one seems to be built of the same quality and durability. Looking forward to many years of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for camping and emergencies This is a stove that everyone should own. It's ability it run on multiple fuels makes it the perfect thing to have during long power outages. It certainly takes a little bit to get the hang of, but once you do it's quite easy to use. I take mine tent camping or get it out for deep frying. It's very efficient for the power it has. Definitely a stove you need to use in a well ventilated area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little camping stove! What a great little stove. It’s the perfect addition to our stock for summer time. We got a rare 40F January day in Minnesota so we had to bust this out and give it a try. We’re not beginners to items like this so we set it up super quick and fried some fresh fish from our day of ice fishing. Easy to use! And it’s easy to fold down and pack away - it not all that bulky!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable stove for camping! 🏕️🔥 I've been using Coleman gas stoves for years & this model definitely lives up to the brand's reputation! It heats quickly & cooks evenly. The stove can handle either Coleman's own liquid fuel or unleaded gas giving you more flexibility. It weighs about 12 lbs making it easily portable which is perfect for camping. The grates are removable making it easy for cleanup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very cool!! The wind blockers are a bit flimsy and seem like they could break after a lot of uses, the grill part could have an indentation to sit flush and be eye pleasing. The handle and latch could be a little more rugged too. I looked online and for $200 I would not recommend this, cool piece to put on a shelf for display but doesn’t seem very practical, I’d give it a 4/10

From boiling water to cooking a steak. Coleman dual fuel stove has us covered! Bring on camping season!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Paint burning off on 1st use! I bought a new one of these from REI in March 2024 after my 20+ year old one started getting flaky. I used it the first time this past weekend (July 2024) on an off-grid camping trip. It lights up easily and the initial yellow flame condenses to a clean, tight, blue flame pretty quickly. My only complaints are that it was 'woofing' and popping when the burner was turned down to low, like the fuel is flash-burning in the venturi tube on occasion. But my larger complaint is the paint used on the body was melting and the grate would be adhered to it at the front after use. On the last day, I was heating water in a big tea kettle and the paint on upper front lip of the body started burning which turned into a sustained fire as the paint burned away. I had a nice, clean, blue flame going and the tank was well-pressurized. We'll see how long it lasts. Maybe I'll end up refurbishing the 1960's one that I have and using it instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great camping stove! I’m really happy with this camping stove. It’s perfect for camping anywhere, hiking or even tailgates. The metal case is really sturdy and travels well. Anytime I’ve cooked food with it, everything turns out great! The heat generated from the stove is perfect to cook any type of food. I’m looking forward to using this in years to come with my family.
