Rated 1 out of 5 by from unsafe junk bought this a few years ago to replace my old green Coleman that lasted more than 25 years because they had discontinued that model. Right away, I found that the design for lighting and ease of use were inferior. Five years later, the copper tube developed a leak where it was welded to the hookup, and became unusable and potentially dangerous as propane would build up inside the stove and ignite from the burner, causing a small explosion that would blow out the burner flame as well. I had to abandon my camping trip a few days early because I was scared to use the stove. It appears that the green stoves are again for sale as the Classic. I'd spend the extra money for that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Got the job done with less hassle Stove was so much easier when exhausted from a long hike than making a wood fire and easier to control the heat output than the alcohol stove used when backpacking (the recycled aluminum soda can type). The price was more reasonable than for other brands with fewer BTUs. The only negative aspect was the arm holding the propane canister. I had trouble getting it tight enough to hold the can at the weird angle required and not "drooping" from weight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great camp stove! Great camp stove. The wind shields work well and they adjust outward so that you can fit a larger pan over the burner. I really like that there is a permanent metal liner under the burners for easy clean-up. The burners have many more holes for the gas flame than my old stove giving you more flame control. The matte black color is really stylish, however, I still harbor some nostalgia for my tried and true 40 year old green stove. Overall, for this is a great propane stove. An electric ignition would be nice, but you can get that on a more expensive model.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s okay, but made with cheap materials. It’s okay. I like the powder-coated finish and the chrome cooking rack. I also like that the buckle is metal; it looked plastic in the picture so I was worried it wouldn’t last. But I was disappointed by the fact that the metal seems a little flimsy. I expected a heavier gauge. Also, my model seems like it was designed for piezo igniters but they weren’t included. I’ll have to retrofit those if I decide they are important enough. Lastly, the drip pan is aluminum! I expected stainless steel. So overall, it’s made more cheaply than I expected. But it works.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good basic stove Good stove with a few quality issues. I would like to see Coleman improve the valve design so that it is easier to obtain a lower flame. There are some easy fixes to this as you will see in other reviews, but Coleman should put some effort into better valve design.
