The drip pan is hard to clean. The grease does not come off. The grates also cook unevenly and too fast. the marinade often burns.

The water required to fill the grease collector always spilled. Then the burner rusted in front and flared up. Coleman didn’t support burner replacement on this model. You have to buy the more expensive one to get burner replacement. So I have a perfectly good grill with extra grates which don’t fit on the next model up I might add. It was a waste of money. Now I have to buy a new grill.it won’t be Coleman unfortunately

Rated 1 out of 5 by YSilvest from Terrible lopsided product Terrible product, its obvious that for the last few years they have been manufacturing defective grills and they do not seem to care as I have read many reviews just now with this same exact problem that seems to be happening the last couple years. My Husband put together the grill the day before our beach trip and the legs are not even causing the grill to be completely lopsided. The grill grate also does not sit evenly. We now have to scramble and put more money out of pocket to go buy a different brand grill since our beach trip is tomorrow and do not have time to return this Coleman. I will never buy a Coleman ever again. The Weber Traveler is $200 more but well worth it based on the reviews and comes from a trusted company.

The grates provide plenty of cooking area - easily enough space to cook a dozen or so burgers. The shelf is convenient and useful. The propane connection point is conveniently located and the grill heats up quickly. After the grill cooled down, I was able to clean it in about two minutes. I then easily broke it down and used the wheels on it to move it to where I am keeping it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Steveloat from Great for road trips! We go camping and road trips every year. This is perfect for all of that!!! It is so easy to set up and put away. It is very easy to clean. You will need to get a 16.4 oz. propane cylinder to give it fuel. We have gotten about an hour to an hour and one half for each tank hooked up. It has 20000 BTUs which easily heats up the 285 sq. in. cooking surface, plenty of space for cooking for a crowd. The two burners are independent of each other, so you can have 2 different temps going at the same time, making it easy to cook a variety of food. The instastart ignition allows you to light the grill without matches. The side table is large enough to hold tools and ingredients. This grill is getting lots of use from our family.

We have owned many gas grills over the years, from expensive high end to cheap low ends and this is by far the BEST we have ever owned. It's light weight, portable, has cast iron grill plates, which we can actually char with!!! It's easy to clean. We LOVE this. We bought the blue and the Coleman canvas cover fits it perfectly. When we eventually move to our new house, we will hook it up to a 20lb tank. Buy it, You will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Crash weekly from Excellent Customer service I have the blue version of this grill, I have used it for burgers, steaks, pizza and many other grillable items. Very easy to move around and is so low profile when folded down that I can put it under my 5th wheel hitch while towing. My grill got damaged in a severe wind storm and Coleman came through and helped me out with it. Coleman is a good company to purchase from and if you get a chance to find an outlet store go in and try not to spend money. It's like being a kid in a candy store , they have so many items I have to leave my wallet in the car.

Fast forward it never got shipped out on the arrival date , I tried calling was put on hold for an hour got no where ! Emailed customer service and received a generic response , I ended up leaving to my camping trip without the grill I needed and paid extra for express shipping. I asked for a refund of my shipping fee and have not gotten any answer ! I don’t recommend doing business with Coleman .

The propane tank is easy to hook up, and the grill gets hot quickly. I have cooked burgers, chicken, steak, vegetables, and much more with no issues. The meats cook evenly and in good timing. Even though the grill is not very big, it conveniently grills a lot of food at once. The little shelf is great for my cooking utensils and seasonings. Super easy cleanup, and it stores so compact. It is a little heavy, but the wheels make it so easy to move. Two thumbs up, great travel grill!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dan the man from Hot Grill I received the unit and it was missing two parts. I called coleman and they didn't have replacement parts, but they sent me a whole new unit. So now i have replacement parts for most of the grill. As for the operation, it's an excellent hot grill with cast iron grill plates which are easy to remove for cleaning. It folds easily for transportation and is just the right size for our family. The only thing i have to say that could be better is that when it's up, if you try to move it wants to fold down would be nice to have a lock to keep it up.

I suggest them take time to remove what they’ve done and see how rotating one part of the legs could fix their concern. Everything shipped correctly, and the grill is pretty nice. Locking mechanism is also better than what people talked about here, it securely holds the lid tight to the grill body.

You can see from old reviews, this isn't an issue but for the newer model it is. If I were using this in my backyard it would be an annoyance, but for camping the convenience of this grill is cancelled out by having to lug the grills separately, especially after using. Colemans' response of "sorry" doesn't help, and now owners of this model are stuck with a poorly designed, inconvenient not so portable grill. BUYER BEWARE!

What I don’t live it the latch keeping the lid closed does not stay closed. When you fold it to carry it falls open on you. Makes moving it or putting it away more difficult than it should be. It is a great little bbq for our motorhome use and very much like that you don’t have to have a table for it since it has legs.

Took it camping for a few day's as well as Pismo beach and work good in both conditions. But the griddle plate as well and food did not stick. All in all worked out great only thing I would change is maybe adding some bigger wheels.

Rated 1 out of 5 by misshalye from extremely flimsy I have been using coleman portable grills for the past 20 years tailgating. we just buy a new one every few years but this new design is horrible. the side tray/handle is so flimsy and wobbly and when I'm trying to open the legs it feels like its going to rip off. It is a terrible design flaw and I will be returning mine.

The people who say it isn't level have put the right leg on upside down and it won't work. If you look at the picture they posted it's obvious it isn't assembled correctly. Also, pay attention to the instruction about putting some water in the pan while you grill. This will also prevent some of the issues people have reported with the pan rusting or catching fire. Gotta follow directions folks!!

It's the perfect little size to throw in the back of the truck. Collapses and folds down really quickly. You can unfold it and set up quickly. It has wheels so you can move it around easily. It's a good little grill.

Some changes that have been made to the roadtrip grill are all positive, I like the sturdy no slide tray as well as full drip tray which makes clean up easy. The new propane connector in the front which is protected by the body of the grill is a big upgrade. Overall I love my new grill It would be a 5-star rating except for the paint in the drip tray peeling (3 quarter size spots) after only 2 uses

The stove burner option made it convenient for heating up water for coffee and hot cocoa. And, unlike a lot of other products, this grill has a 3 year warranty!

This grill took me all of ten minutes to put together and I am a woman who has never assembled a grill before. You need one of those really small things of propane to use it. It folds up almost like an old school tv tray for super easy storage. This grill was very easy to roll out of the camper and use all over the camp site! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this grill to anyone and everyone I can.

It has proven to grill anything I throw on it beautifully and has held up magnificently. I like it so much that when I got a camper this year, I bought another Roadtrip to take...on road trips! The new one has upgrades that show why Coleman has stood the test of time, they keep making a good thing better. Easy assembly, quick set up, grills beautifully and is very propane efficient at a competitive price. I highly recommend this grill!

Doesn't make parts available, etc, etc. While it works, it's fine, but now that it needs a new regulator, it seems it has instantly become 'landfill'. I recommend you buy another brand that you can actually fix.

The pieces do not fit together securely. The lid cannot be latched if the grills are in it, so you have to take the grills out while rolling... WHAT?! I bought this to use at my family vacation next weekend. Honestly not even sure I would want this anymore even if they ever get around to my claim... Seriously a shame.

It’s easy to roll out of the way and store in garage. This grill has fed many family gatherings of over 20 people. The grill is so well used that the handles are now melted off and one of the grill plates are cracked and broken off. My mom continues to use it. For Christmas I decided to buy her a new one. She was elated! She has been looking in stores for a new one for awhile now. Best Christmas gift she received!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ceci from Convenient I was hesitant to get this only because I have never used a propane tank myself. Due to the convenience I got it anyway. It's the perfect size for my family. We can easily take it to the park or use it here in our backyard for a quick dinner. It feels a little wobbly at first but definitely stood up to the challenge. It is so easy to fold and store away. I also love that we are able to control the fire and cook our different foods at their perfect temp. Can't wait to see where else we can take this.
