Sadly, out of a 5 day camping trip we managed only to get one good (decent) cup of coffee out of the kit. The water flowed down the sides or out of the top instead of dripping through the filter and into the pot. At first we thought it was because the kit was not level and so we spent a great deal of time making sure the pot was on a level surface. This did not make a difference. We placed a tray under the kit and at the end of one of the brewing processes for 8 cups there was more coffee in the tray (about half a cup) than in the pot. Very sad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bowhnt_01 from No major complaints My wife bought this for me for a Christmas gift and I have used it for two camping seasons. I have no major complaints but the ignitor did quit working, which isnt a big deal because I never trust them anyways and just use an "aim-a-flame". The one thing my wife also purchased was a steel coffee pot. I think Coleman shouldnt even have a glass one because that is asking for complete disaster. It does take a little longer to brew but the way I look at it is, when I go camping I go to slow down and relax if that means just a few extra minutes, no problem. The taste of the coffee is good and it is faster then the old school camp fire perkulator.

This was a replacement for a black Coleman stovetop coffee maker that failed after only three years by leaking hot lead out the bottom all over my stove. I got this pot as a B-Day gift one year ago and used it 15-20 days at the very most. A little plastic valve in the bottom of the water reservoir appears to be failed. I wrote so called "customer care" two full weeks ago and have not recieved a reply for a 100 dollar item that is still under warranty that has a 50 cent faulty part. It's unfortunate what Coleman has become. As a child Coleman was the go to brand. Now I view it as a stay away from brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Quality Issues from Very Poor Quality Very poor quality and horrible design. Firstly, the unit gets extremely hot, seem unnecessary. The drip stop mechanism is flimsy and often falls off. In addition, the carafe does not fit securely when brewing and can disengage from the drip stop mechanism, causing the coffee maker to overflow, creating a huge mess. Lastly, the basket also fits poorly and is flimsy in design. The carafe lid latch broke upon first use, small tab that secures to handle. Overall, a huge disappointment. I was looking forward to the standalone design, but this product does not live up to the Coleman quality standards I came to expect. This product should be recalled or discontinued.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jodeta from Major disappointment! My kids gave me this for Mother's Day and I was super excited. First camping trip with the family I got it out and made coffee. The lid above the water reservoir warped, as it perked it spit hot water out of the top, took a very long time to finish perking, and when it did finish we had to add several more cups of water and wait again for it to finish (so much had "spit" out the top). Sad to say, but it was not a quality Coleman product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Fran5 from Bad purchase I purchased this coffee maker because we were camping with another family and needed more coffee! The coffee took forever to brew. The water would fill up in the drip cup and not drain into the pot. If we sat and used a long stick to push the lever we could brew the coffee. All the pieces are plastic and just don’t work well. I would not recommend this product. We will be going back to percolator coffee.

Rated 4 out of 5 by codyutah from Pretty good coffee pot I bought this coffee pot to take deer hunting. We had really cold weather with a lot of wind this year. The coffee took a really long time to brew because it was so cold. If I put it in the back of my truck that has a topper it was much better. I think for the most part this coffee pot will work great camping in the outdoors.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Long existing problem - Water Valve falling out. This was bought for our the parents of our Scout Troop approximately four years ago. From day one the water valve fell out. We kept an an eye on this piece and for many usages (under twenty over 4 years) we were able to find it and keep it in place. Then when we lost it, The part is not available. A part that should cost no more than $5.00 should be replaceable. We are now going to throw this out, and may not purchase any other Coleman product. Much of our Troop equipment, and my personal equipment is Coleman. Maybe not any more. I spent six months going back and forth on this to be told it is outside the warranty. They need to stand behind a product that has the same issue numerous times, and not play the warranty card or come up with the parts. I would not complain, but very little parts are available for this product which makes it useless The only parts available are the carafe, the hinged cover and the coffee filter basket. BEWARE!! Water now just pours back out.

The regulator referenced in your manual (part number 5010000809, also labeled as 5007) has been discontinued and is no longer available in our inventory.

At this time, we do not have a direct replacement or updated part that is approved for use with this specific model. For safety reasons, we do not recommend using regulators from other stoves or products, as compatibility and pressure requirements may differ and could result in unsafe operation.
