Lip won’t close!
The lid won’t close with this product! Coleman should adjust plans and swap out those who have this defective product!

It is a great concept but very poorly designed.
I go camping often and use my road trip grill. It does not allow the lid to close which is a big problem on breezy days. It slides around in the base of its little legs and tilts and spills grease into the flame area. The non-stick is already starting to flake off after 1 use when using plastic spatula.

Does not Fit Road Trip Classic
This is a great cooking surface, but it does not fit securely on a Road Trip Classic grill. It slips out of place and tilts while you are cooking which is extemely dangerous if you are cooking bacon! Also, the surface scratches VERY easily if you aren't careful, even with non metallic utensils.

This is a great griddle but it does not properly fit a Roadtrip 285. You cannot completely close the lid. Cooks bacon and pancakes great.

It’s very light in Weight, and Colman shipped it out on time just like they said they would
And on that holiday we got up that morning and set up everything in the park and cooked some good breakfast on it and later put the burgers on Thanks once again Colman

Swagtop griddle top
Great addition for having a full griddle top on Coleman road-trip, but I didn’t like the way the tabs on the bottom put the griddle way up away from the burners, and I had trouble closing the lid with this griddle in place. It’s possible I just ordered the wrong model for my grill

Good but needs design improvements
Decent griddle plate, However the legs/stands that it sits on the body of the grill aren't big enough or spaced properly, if it is pushed to front or back enough the edge of the griddle will fall into the body of the grill. Also you can not close the lid with this on.

If you have a road trip grill and want to griddle it's very convienient. I have a colemant road trip 285 grill and also a road trip XLT griddle when I don't want to take both I just take the griddle plate it works good

Road trip grill my favorite grill of all time
Used the heck out of this griddle was great for pancakes making French pancakes or also known as crêpes omelettes. I loved it took it camping with us anytime we brought the road trip for real no assembly needed

Poor design, unsafe
The griddle sits high up from the flames so doesn’t heat up well. Also, because it sits so high and doesn’t click in or anything, it can slide out of position and land on the user... super dangerous.

Love the griddle, cooked sausage, onions and peppers together on it. Cooked bacon on it next, and it worked great. The only downfall is you can't close the lid while cooking

Apparently not. They still sell the same deeply flawed griddles. Any designer would have know from the get go that this doesn&rsquo;t work. I guess as long as it keeps selling, they&rsquo;ll keep making it regardless of its shortcomings.
