This is not just great for camping. But I took it tailgating this weekend. Everyone had to stop and see it and grab some hot chocolate. It also makes some great coffee too. I recommend this for anyone that need a cup of coffee or hot chocolate on the job or out at work on site. It is very versatile.

When we go camping we usually use a percolator on the fire, but this is the coolest thing I have ever owned no cord just your little propane tank some water and coffee and you up the nightgood to go. Make my morning so easy can set it before and start it up right as you wake. It comes with it's own filter in it which is great easy very easy to clean. Literally my new favorite thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JasonE from Worked perfectly Yes it was a little slow but that is too be expected when primitive camping. Our pot was never level, no time spent trying to get the table level. We had the heat turned down to the lowest setting on the propane dial to the lowest setting without turning the gas off. The coffee was fantastic, nothing like a great cup of coffee on the side of a mountain overlooking a stream.

The set-up was very easy. The propane tank easily screws on and stores on the back when not in use. The brew cup slides into place and that was a little tricky to line up but not too bad. The brew cup also takes flat bottomed coffee filters. We filled the entire water reservoir and brewed our coffee using 3 scoops of coffee using a coffee scoop. Start to finish it took less than 20 minutes to brew. Once it was all brewed there was about 8 cups of piping hot coffee that tasted great! We really liked the coffee maker and it will be joining us on our next camping trip for sure. Cons- bulky packaging but it keeps the maker secure, takes a good amount of time to finish, no alert to say it's finished Pros- 8-10 cups of coffee all at once, doesn't take space on camp stove, tasted good

I love my coffee and instant coffee is horrible to me. So to make my fresh brewed coffee was so good. Got a small propane tank from Wal-Mart for around $6. Easy to get going when used as directed. The coffee was worst the 18 mins it took to make. Fresh and hot. Two cups up for me.

It takes a little longer to brew than a traditional electric brewer, but that's not a big deal, and the coffee it brews tastes good. You can pause it while brewing so you can go ahead and pour yourself a cup, then replace the carafe and let it continue to brew a whole pot. The pot holds 10 cups. It keeps your coffee hot for several hours. The Instastart button makes it easy to ignite and get started brewing. If you don't like the glass carafe they have a stainless steel carafe on thei website that fits this machine. Aside from connecting the propane tank, it works just like a regular coffee maker, easy to use, easy to clean. It's lightweight so it's easy to pick up and move around. It's been used a few time around here in the past month or so and we love it, no complaints at all.

Just put it somewhere where the wind isn’t blowing or prop something up beside it to shield the wind. It’s also great to use when the electricity is out and you need coffee! It is very easy to work and it took it about 20 mins to make a pot of coffee. I have no complaints! It makes very good coffee.

I was surprised there is a product like this! It's easy to operate and you can make your coffee as strong as you like it and actually use REAL coffee! The only downside is the time it takes to brew, but I'll take this over instant coffee.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KarlaW from Too expensive for the quality. I used this coffee pot twice before the ignition switch broke. I had the same model a few years ago and loved it. Then after maybe twenty used the plastic piece that holds the coffee ground basket snapped off and we used a plastic spoon to wedge in its place to hold the basket in for brewing. Otherwise we really liked it. I’m trying to find an ignition switch part.

It was simple to hook up and start using right away! It took about the same amount of time to brew a full pot of coffee as it would at home. I have no complaints about this coffeemaker and would recommend adding it to your camping essentials list!

I must say at first you think you don’t need it and coffee on the fire is just fine, but let me tell you, this is a must. You don’t have to wait for the fire to get started in the morning and you just fire this up and you have coffee in no time and taste much better than coffee over a fire.

You can take it with you anywhere all you need is the little bottles of propane. If you like your coffee like I do this is a must have. It tastes great also! I recommend you buy this. It's good if the power goes out also!

Also, it seems like every storm we get the power goes out so this would be a perfect backup! I can't make it without coffee. Its pretty compact but did take a while (about 20 mins) to make a pot but it came out good. Easy to set up, easy to use.

We live out in the woods in northern Florida where sometimes our power tends to fail, but at least I can still have coffee! The machine is simple to assemble, simple to use, gets warm so be careful and keep it away from thing that can melt. Over all, really cool gadget and a nice find. Will recommend.

I experienced the “spitting” problem and once the filter part stopped draining and the grounds spilled over creating a mess, but after experimenting with it I figured it out and now I can make a whole pot of coffee with ease. It MUST be perfectly level for it to run smoothly.

It made a better pot of coffee then my kitchen coffee maker does. Very advanced drip blocker, better then mr coffee makers. Instantly stopped the flow for the 1/4 cup steal i always do when I first wake up.

It brews fast as long as it’s away from any breeze. The only downside is that the water valve keeps popping out and I’m afraid it’ll get lost. All in all, I’m happy with this product.

Looked everywhere for a replacement glass or metal pot unfortunately they are discontinued! How can any part be discontinued when you are actively promoted the sale of these units. Coleman use to be a reliable company....no more I guess.

It's too bad because when I bought it my other half was super excited however only about 8 uses before dying is super disappointing

It works great the first year but the next something was wrong with it so I found out that it was a black rubber plug at the bottom of the water tank. I tried to get a replacement plug from Coleman but they sad they didn’t have one. So no coffee pot for camp

I like that it uses propane and you just put the propane in and start brewing away and the coffee is so good and comes out very hot the way I like it.
