Great maker but it needs a few mods
We have used this coffee maker on our boat for 7 years. Being in a saltwater environment required a little more maintenance than normal but it makes a great pot of coffee.
However, I have learned that several things are very important. First, as soon as you get this coffee maker, remove and toss as far as you can, the drip stop mechanism. Its hokey and will cause endless frustration. Remove the part at the bottom of the removable cup and the part at the back of the main unit. Just yank them off.
Second, the valve at the bottom of the reservoir tends to stick and not let water thru efficiently. So before making every pot, pull out the black hose where it enters the top of the drip chamber and suck on it. This forces the valve to unstick. And for Gods sake do this before igniting burner.
You will also find that the igniter will fail. Get one of those long butane lighters. It will save a lot of aggravation.
Its a little awkward to carry around so I fabricated a strap handle utilizing the holes at the top of the metal wrap around. Also, the pot likes to fall out during transport so I fabricated a bra to wrap around the pot with Velcro straps to secure it.
It takes 15 minutes for a full pot, but it does do a good job.
BTW, this is the second one I bought because I dropped and broke the regulator, and it is no longer available as a part.

Decent coffee maker, watch for overflow.
Unboxed it, was impressed with a quality product. Filled it and did a water only test run; had water percolating in roughly 30 seconds. Only ran about 6 cups. All seemed well.
@ camp 2 days later, set up the coffee maker - since a friend of mine has the exact coffee maker, they advised to make sure it was level as theirs had run all over due to not being level(I know, common sense). Filled the pot to 10 cups, discovered the reservoir doesn’t hold 10 cups (or even 12 as printed on the pot) - put the remaining clean water in a cup to add later. Ignited, coffee started percolating rather quickly. Had some coffee dripping from the filter basket like it’s supposed to - walked away to throw wood on the fire, waste time until percolation done. Came back and discovered coffee running all over the table - the filter basket was overflowing due to the pot not pushing the drip lever in correctly, even though I had everything out together the proper way. Discovered the drip lever isn’t always completely in contact with the pot, thus causing a backup and overflow. Turned it off, got the coffee to drain, cleaned up and started over. Be sure to check how you put the pot in, I have to keep mine turned so the little tang on the bottom of the pot was sitting on the raised portion of the bottom plate in order to keep contact with the drip lever. Other than that, it makes hot coffee.

Almost a good product
With just a little more work, Coleman could have made this so much better. The concept of a propane powered drip coffee maker is great, but this execution has a few quirks that seem like they could have been resolved before going to market.
For example, don’t dare fill up the coffee pot with water to pour into the maker tank because the pot holds way more water than the maker’s tank. The pot holds 12 cups but the tank tops out at just 8 cups.
Next, the “pause” feature is very touchy. The pot must be placed just right in the maker for the drip to flow into the pot. If not, the brewing basket will overflow and scalding coffee and grounds will spill out all over the machine and the surrounding area. After this happened to me three times, I finally realized that the coffee pot handle must be aligned exactly straight out the front of the machine. If the pot is rotated so the handle points out to the right or the left then the brewing basket is going to overflow and make a huge mess.
Finally, the maker sits on 4 screw-in adjustable feet - but one of them is a different thread size than the other. And on just my second camping trip, that odd sized foot is MIA - not around my camping kitchen or in the tote. So for the rest of the trip I tried balancing the machine on a rock in place of the missing foot. The Coleman site shows no parts available for the machine and their customer service has not responded to a “contact us” inquiry after nearly two weeks.
Bottom line, I’ll keep using it but considering the not insignificant price point, I probably wouldn’t have bought it if I knew then what I know now. There are lots of other (and way less expensive) ways to make coffee in a camp kitchen. Coleman almost made a good product but currently this version misses the mark.
