While rolling it to the beach, one of the wheels on the carrier case broke off. We continued to use the tent, however, just carrying it instead of rolling it. We called Coleman customer service and received an immediate courteous response, offering us a new tent (while keeping the current one). This is indeed a testament to the company and their commitment to customer service. We found the tent itself to be an excellent shield for the hot Atlantic coast beach sun, and would recommend it highly. It is sturdy and very easy to put up.

Nice look, for about a month w my first one, when some wind absolutely shredded the canopy cover. Ok no problem I anchored the frame to my deck, I shouldn’t have a problem getting a replacement cover. I’ll just bite the bullet can’t be too much. NOPE. High and low you search. NO way to get a new canopy cover. Great, so now i can drive to Costco and buy an entire new one full price. Talk about wasteful. This company would rather let you throw the frames you don’t need in a landfill just to get your hands on a replacement parts in an easier fashion This was the first time. RIPPED again. Now what ? Go buy a third full priced canopy and frame , throw another frame out and keep the cover? Don’t even know what to do at this point I’m embarrassed to be in this situation

Been trying to Get a new cover to replace it after spending a high cost on the Item but it doesn't appear available. I would like to recommend this product but I cant because for Just Under 200 bucks it doesn't last.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Rosemary from Difficult to handle My husband and I hurt ourselves while trying to use this shelter, it is so hard to push up and click those top pole locks. Each time we pulled to extend the frame it would snap back, we still don't have it exactly right, the top is lopsided because of those top locks on one side. This is our second 13x13 Eaved Coleman Shelter, the first one was bought about 3 years ago, and it was not this hard to handle. What happened ?

But the fabric is starting to fade and was thinking about replacing it. But after reading the reviews it sounds like it might be better to contact Coleman and get a new cover. The frame is starting to show it's age and it did blow over one and was cut by the back window on the truck shell. Other than that it has been awesome. But reading the reviews it sounds like Coleman needs to go back to the quality that they had before. Broken metal, cracked plastic, bad fabric. I'll do what I can to keep mine going a little longer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Cascadesasquatch from Good for a day, not a week My previous coleman canopy lasted multiple summers, up for extended time, in the sun and rain. That was until I was dumb and left it up in the wind and the structure got bent. So I replaced it with a larger 13x13 sun shelter. I was excited about this one, but it turned out that the fabric quality has gone way down, which I could tell right away. Unfortunately this one barely lasted two months up in the summer. It almost immediately got holes in it, and worse a seam ripped substantially. Feeling the fabric after a couple of weeks in the sun you could tell how the UV had damaged it. I would only buy this if I was not ever going to leave it up for an extended period of time (ie soccer or baseball games or a family picnic).

First time I used this canopy, the seams leaked terribly. The second time I used this canopy, I noticed multiple “rips” along seams during set up. Sure enough, through the day with a little wind, those little “rips” turned to full blown tears... now the canopy is trash afte two uses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jimbo from Read the fine print. I used ours for 3 summers in the Seattle area; up all summer. The box says for temporary use....not permanent. The canopy got "crispier" each year and finally started cracking and ripping. A little duct tape got me thru the 3rd summer. Wish Coleman would sell a canopy made of stronger fabric like Sunbrella or something used for car covers that could be used for several summers. The frame is extremely strong & well built....have reused it for fishing trips with just a tarp thrown over it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Stay away from this You definitely cannot use this as a permanent sun shelter. The material on ours started ripping after being on the deck for only one month. The frame seems well constructed, however. My sister-in-law bought the same one and hers seems to be lasting well but she only uses it a couple of times per year and only leaves it up for short time periods, This way might get her 2-3 years out of it. Bottom line is: Don't leave it up for longer than 3-4 days at a time. The material does not last under the baking from the sun. You might get a longer use out of it if you have a long stretch of weather without any sun.

The fabric thins out and starting ripping at the inseam. Same issue as previous reviews... loved the amount of shade we got from it but honestly thinking is it worth to purchase replacement if the problem persists.

The cover started tearing last year not bad but I thought why by a complete unit when all I need is the cover. Just sent Customer Service a question wanting to know if I can get a new cover. I thought why not read the reviews, seems like many have the same issue as I do. So Coleman, do you have a new cover material available.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Magic from my 1st use experience As luck would have it my 1st time use of the 13x13 was on my riverside dock. I knew winds were possible anytime along the river where I live so I screwed the set-up shelter to the dock & covered it with metal screwed in strips as "extra" protection along with the rope tie-downs in all 4 corners plus additional 4 tie downs. Typical army training. The winds gusted 20 to 30 mph & broke 3 struts of the shelter then ball it up on the dock like a pile of trash. Not very impressive all in all.

Less than a year later small holes are appearing in the fabric and a locking pin in one of the corners has disappeared. We use these canopies approx. 2 days a month with 6 days at summer camp. Every time we use them they are opened inside the storage area to dry out prior to being cased in their covers. Not being able to replace the fabric is disappointing at best. Colemans reputation for durability is taking a beating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bummed from So so If you want to use it for special occasions now and then, it would be fine. I wanted it for shade in the backyard, with seating under it. It rotted from the sun in a very short time. Lots of holes that made bigger holes until it was unusable.

I left it out one night after a bbq and we had some winds that picked up. The next day almost all the seams were ripped and torn. I thought the video showed 35mph sustained winds with no damage. Can you please offer a replacement canopy we can buy? Everything else is in perfect condition.

I've owned other canopies before and never have I had something like this happen to any of them

Canopy should be constructed to handle extreme heat for extended periods so that it doesnt fall apart. Now I have a frame and no canopy, I cant find replacement canopy in your replacement parts site. Please help. Chaz

The Frame is still in good shape. One bar needs to be repaired. But this can be fixed. However, I can't find anywhere to repair the canopy cover or find anywhere to order a replacement cover. This is disapointing that I can't find parts or a location where I can get a new cover made. Its also seems wasteful to throw the frame away just because I can't purchase a replacement canopy fabric.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 1Rollins from Didn't last even 4 months Coleman, I really loved this when I got it at Costco last year. It was the shade my patio needed, and the frame is wonderfully sturdy. After a month and a half I went to move it and my thumb punctured the material. I thought I would just repair it with duct tape or something. It wasn't noticeable, it was a small hole, and I thought I'd leave it alone - it was liveable. Two months later, I went to take it down and everywhere we touched it tore. It almost crackled like the most fragile of ancient tissue paper. The frame is so awesome I thought I would try to order a new canopy. No luck on your website. No response to contacting you. I had to return it to Costco. I am so disappointed. I see a new version at Costco and I am tempted to try again. It feels like the material might be different? Thicker, maybe? Can you please advise?

We forgot it was set up and it was out in the Aug 2020 derecho and it survived, it's starting to get pin holes and isn't that waterproof anymore but it's still great for the shade I just bought a new one from Costco and I wish you had replacement canopies that matches and if you make a camo one I'd like that too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by View from Broken after 2nd use After only the 2nd time using this shelter, one of the cross bars broke after getting somehow stuck when lowering, using the red button on the corner. I've been looking everywhere for this 26.5 inch pole. No where to be found, and from looking, I'm not the only one who has experienced this, and the response from coleman is that this part is not available for replacement. Sheesh, for this to be close to 300 bucks, this is terrible quality. Should have went with another brand. I'll happily change my rating if they can replace this part, but from past reviews not looking very likely.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DanTheCanopyMan from Workmanship is Questionable Canopy is a good size at 13x13. The workmanship is questionable if not just plain poor. The stitching began to give way on one side after about 4 days. Evidently the ensuing stress on the fabric/stitching became too much as the opposite side began to tear at the seams as well. Side number 3 is now beginning to tear at the seams as well. Total time used was about 7 times. The positive aspect of this review is that the actual double stitched seam is still holding on at the joints. As for the metal frame, unlike other reviews, this one I'd still holding strong. Good canopy if used indoors.

Rated 1 out of 5 by shortcake from Looks can be deceiving I bought 3 of these tents to use for tailgating and other outdoor events, I have used them maybe 5 or 6 times at the most and the frame has broken on all of them. Why would you use plastic parts on the frame? You can see where all of the plastic couplers are either breaking or have already broken. The sad part is the fact that you don't sell a replacement frame for the 13x13 and I can't return it to the store

I've been looking on the Coleman web site for a replacement canopy and can't find one. Ours needs replaced after two years of steady sun.
