Rated 5 out of 5 by Sunshine1 from Affordable / lasts for years We bought two (2) of the 13x13 canopies in September of 2016 and use in our backyard four (4) to six (6) times a year and they are still going strong! The longest we have left these up has been four (4) days and no problems yet. They have worked great and are easy to put up and take down - about 5 to 7 minutes for each (once you have done it a couple of times). Many of our guests have commented about how much they like them too. We will definitley buy new ones when these finally give out (doesn't look like that will be anytime soon though).

Rated 1 out of 5 by CathleenS from Bad design-old version was better This instant shelter canopy comes in 2 pieces-the main cover and the center vent cover. Sounds great except that you have to use a step ladder to add on the vent cover after it is set up. The old version of this was all one piece. In addition to the second center piece I could never get mine to stay on because it was cut a couple inches too big so it didn't fit the poles in the center.

Tried to purchase those parts, lol they don't sell replacement parts!! Not recommended! Very expensive tent to used it only 2 times. We are older people and we take care of things is not like we dropped it.

I loved how it shaded my patio and let me enjoy my yard, however the 1st big wind shredded the canopy. Now I cannot find a replacement canopy. Hopefully Coleman will start making replacement canopies that are of reasonable price and better quality. The canopy I purchased was made in China maybe they could start producing them locally.

Rated 1 out of 5 by IanM from Destroyed in less than 3 months Picked up this canopy to have some shelter from the sun while cutting lumber for a renovation project in the mountains. it wanted to crumble at the first breeze above 15 mph. Within the first week one of the upper support bars was bent and I had to modify another support for that side and 2 days ago a gust tore one whole side off the fabric. Was nice while it lasted but in the end just another cheaply built piece of junk that will now have to become scrap parts and landfill material. Would be nice if companies with as big of a name as Coleman would put more care in the design, engineering and construction of their products. Most of the time we support smaller local companies, but out of convenience we got one of these. Big mistake and bigger waste of money. Emailed through the online contact form and hopeful there are enough employees there right now to at least acknowledge the cheapness of this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Camping Caver from 7 Years of Use and Still Happy Bought March 2017 and has served us well. We camp 15-20 days every year. After 9 years, it's time to replace the canopy cover, so just ordered a replacement. There is only so much sun and campfire ashes a canopy cover can take, and I would say 9 years and roughly 180 camping days is pretty reasonable for the lifetime of the canopy. We did have to replace one crossbar on the support frame about 4 years ago, but that's expected when you try to put the canopy up in a deluge with inches of water filling the canopy as it went up. Lesson learned. Overall, we were satisfied when our friends had one of these, so we bought one too and have been equally satisfied with ours. Obviously, you have to take good care of it, as things will break if not used properly.

Went on my last fall camping trip And bike and car show and the wind was 6mph and the seams tore completely apart on two side and bent the frame. Not happy!!!!! Would recommend for the convenience of size. Not liking having to take money we had planned for trip/vacation to purchase another. Yes, we are aware they are not buildings but when you do what is recommended they should survive.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Peplow530 from Bad quality don’t waste your money Pretty much same experience as everyone else. After about a month I was already starting to notice little tears in the canopy. After a year the canopy is completely destroyed and unusable. The frame seems well made and is easy to set up, but without a canopy (or even at least a replacement to purchase) what’s the point. Save your hard earned money or spend it elsewhere.

I bought this months ago from Costco when there was a sale, but haven't camped yet. Went to set this up in my driveway for the first time to 'practice' putting it up, and it broke at the joint! First time! Never even got the awning on! I then searched this thread and found that it's happened to other buyers too. This is my 2nd attempt at buying a Coleman product and the last. I'll be taking this back to Costco.

Rated 2 out of 5 by The bird from Frame - strong as heck, Fabric is tissue paper This is a close to the Costco model that Coleman will show. The metal frame is top notch, no complaints - will last for years. Coleman went cheap on the fabric this year. Between sun and wind (light) expect the canopy to be of value for 5 months, and then to be garbage (fabric) and attempted recycling (frame). If Coleman is ever to claim they are ESG/Green focused, they MUST sell replacement canopy fabric. Until then, they are part of the problem. Yes, I'm very frustrated Coleman made the financial decision to be cheap.

Sooo, for Christmas, I bought a second one for my girlfriend and I. We haven’t been able to use it yet, because the weather hasn’t been working with us, but I know it’ll be just as awesome as the first!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Large Family from Lots of shade! We have only used it a few times. Bought it mainly for an upcoming trip to the beach. We used it a few times at my son's travel baseball games. My wife saved the day at a recent church pool party where everyone was suffering in the sun while eating and she offered to set it up. Within a few minutes everyone was enjoying some shade. She said she thought they were about to start a bidding war to buy it. Two cons; a little heavy and a little long broken down, my wife is little and it barely fit in the back of her Tahoe.

I just called the number and they said the 1 year warranty is over. We now have a useless frame. Coleman made in China junk to add to the landfill. Costly. I will not buy Coleman again. We have loved this brand for 40 years. No longer.....

Not sure how much rain water it can withstand. There are holes in the top cover and would like to get a new cover, not sure this is sold separately. Very disappointed, expected this to be more durable for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JPenland from Don't buy, no replacement parts Use for camping and parties. Any breeze and the thing takes off, even if tied and staked. That's ok but if the parts bend or the corner of the canopy has a hole from the poles, you can't repair it because they don't sell the parts. Other companies sell replacement parts to fix the canopy. If Coleman thinks this will just make me buy another one they are crazy, we will buy from a company that sells the parts. This item, no matter who makes it always runs the risk of a wind blowing it over! Should be prepared for that!

I wish I could get a replacement top. I have found them on a few replacement sites but I am not paying over $100 when I only paid $150 for the whole thing. Otherwise it has been great.

Each use was always preceded with trying to get the thing to work because it is not as easy as advertised. We will not by another one. Sorry we bought the first one.

Better to get a tarp and tie it up!! This makes the 2nd one bought.. I'm totally done!!

When we finally got it put up, (took 4 people) the wind ripped one of the corners. I was very disappointed because I spent way over $120 for the beach tent.

So don’t plan to get more than 2 years out of this canopy. Very disappointed that no replacement canopy is available; how wasteful when the frame is perfectly good.

It is already leaking at the seams and ripped at the top when a little wind came through. Was trying to buy a replacement canopy, but conveniently you have to buy the whole set up. Also, very confusing to put up.

I've had other Coleman canopies and they were built well; withstood storms. I never expected this to be a one and done season canopy.

Went to take it down & sand had jammed the locking clamps so it would nor release. Finially got it to move & the frame broke in 2 places. spent hour trying to see if spare parts are available with no luck

I'm lazy, so I even left it up through winter. that wasn't a good idea because the winds blew it into a complete twisted mess. I thought it was over for sure.... but when I was cleaning up, the frame literally folded right back into place. didn't break in any of the twisted joints. I've had it left out all summer for over 4 years and you would think the sun would have ruined the frame but didn't.
