Used to trust Coleman but not so much now.
Corners tear. The carrying bag tears very easy.
Not durable at all. Don't know why they chose not to reinforce the corners of the eaves. I guess owners of class leman don't use their own products. First time the wind blew we had the eaves tear.

This has been the best canopy ive ever owned. The sun has just baked cloth and need a new one. Wish they sold replacement. If you use the canopy right and stake down should last for long time. Would give 5 if i could buy replacement cloth cover

Poor Quality / No Replacement Parts from Coleman
Used three times; wind took it down (we were camping, it got windy away from camp). Tweaked the arms and broke some screws. "No Problem - I'll go to Coleman.com and get replacement arms.." NOPE. Coleman should be ashamed to have their name/ brand on this and not offer replacement parts. I've NEVER bought a coleman product that I couldn't get replacement parts for. AGREED - my fault it broke. Loved it so much - I'd be willing to invest in parts. I'm not even asking you to make it stronger, better, etc. (which Coleman should) - but if you're not sending replacement parts - how do you know the weak spots? Replacement Parts should be available on-line; I would have given this a 4. Loved (past tense) this tent; but just know- it will cost you $30 - $50 per use unless you baby it.

I believe it is time for Costco to drop the Coleman Canopy. I have own several in the past year, and found none will last more than 3-6 months due to the environment of Southern California. I do not recommend anyone to purchase this type.

Not durable, do not buy
The fabric canopy ripped at the seam a few weeks after purchase. Do not buy this canopy. Coleman warranty service is also terrible. They took many weeks to respond to my claim and then closed the claim case within 4 days, unresolved.

Great and useful
I own several of these types of shade shelters and this one is the best, by far. It’s design makes it smaller to store and pack but much larger in actual awning area. Easy to put up and great for festivals, camping or back yard events.

Purchased my Canopy from Costco just under 4 months ago. Cannot get anyone from Coleman to actually talk to me. My Canopy top has started to come apart after such a brief time. COSTCO is getting a similar review on this product.

Frame is poorly made and broke the 2nd time used
The frame broke at one of the cross joints. This is very poor quality. It was only the second time I used it and it was for a picnic, therefore short term temporary use.
There is a lot of stress and tension on the frame when this is in use and I don’t think the frame is strong enough for normal, even less than normal use, since it came apart at one of the cross joints, like it popped out where the frame is held together around the underside of the canopy, just the 2nd time it was used.

ripped second Canopy Shelter
We bought this particular item already twice and it lasts about 1 season and is ripping at the seams each time. We bought this to put up on our deck for shade. But having to replace it every year is not worth the expense

Canopy Material Stinks-Frame Is Great
If only the canopy was durable or you could replace it (perhaps with a more durable option). Self-destructed in less than 3 months.
Never got a response from Colemman after numerous attempts to contact them.

I heard lots of great things about the Coleman products. We have two pieces that broke very quickly. I have been duct taping them together trying to get through the summer. Not sure it is going to happen.

Love It, Despite Issues...
I have owned several of these. The canopies have destructed in the UV light over time (expected). Coleman has done a great job getting me new ones. However, when I needed just the frame and the carrying case, Coleman couldn't provide these. My last canopy just arrived. When I took it camping it was mis-sewn. It wasn't 13 x 13, it was more 13 x 12 and didn't fit the frame. I had to use zip ties to make it work. I will be talking more directly to customer service on how they can fix this...

we also got ours at costco and the fabric is the weak link, we need another already as it doesnt hold up very well, cant seem to find a better fabric, or any fabric. is there an upgrade fabric?

Need to have replacement tarps available
Ripped and weather damage after 3 times using. Loved it when we first used it but so disappointed now. For it to be a Coleman brand. I will think twice before buying Coleman again.

Great frame. Lousy canopy!
Got one a couple of years ago. The canopy ripped. Any replacement canopies were almost as much as a whole new tent. I opted for the whole new tent. The canopy just ripped again.

Coleman has no shame - you can't embarrass them.
Keep on shipping crap - then when people complain, you respond with a canned statement. I used to love Coleman, and I will be sad to learn of any US or Canada layoffs, but as you continue to ship the lowest quality product, I won't be surprised to see you file for Chapter 11 at some point - e.g. when Costco tosses you to the curb. Who was it in Coleman finance that made the decision to use the cheapest canopy material possible -- save $1, lose a customer - great strategy,

I purchased the 13'X13' model #20000004409 over 15 years ago. I used it many times at Table Rock Lake in Missouri ad different Lakes in Kansas, about 3 weeks ago we were camping at El Dorado Lake and a big storm came up, I did not have time to take the canopy down, we got hit with 50 to 60 mph winds, my canopy was twisted, but it did not break!! I had each leg anchored with 5 gal bucket filled with water, only 1 bucket fell over. I am still amazed that it didn't break!

Canopy is very cheap material
We purchase our 13x13 Back Home canopy in July 2020. 9 months later the top is falling apart rips, tears, seams coming apart. We live in Florida and I understand the sun and heat over time can damage the material. However. It has not been exposed to the hot months yet. We had a cool winter and it did not even last 9 months. I am very disappointed. I have purchased and used Colman products all my life. (62 years). Never have I seen such poor quality in a Colman product.
