Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big cooler holds a lot! This thing holds so much ice! I got a small bag from the store. That's the size I usually get for other coolers. Instantly I knew I made a mistake. I added ice from our ice maker and it still wasnt enough. So, I tested the small amount of ice and it lasted about 24 hours. Next, I got the big bag from the store, this was 20 pounds of ice. I put it in and was shocked. This thing could have held another bag! If you just want to add some drinks and maybe lunch meat you could easily use 40 to 50 pounds of ice and really fill it up. With the one bag of 20 pounds I decided I'd take advantage and try to put our cold and freezer groceries in it while we finished our errands till we got home. All frozen groceries were still frozen when we got home. All cold groceries were still cold. I had set them on top, but next time I would put ice on bottom and on top of groceries like I should have. We are just now getting some warmer days. 20 pounds of ice lasts about 48 hours. For camping or outside activities in hit weather I don't think the ice would last as long. You may have to add more. The nice thing is it does have a pour spout to drain the water. Make sure you get this one all of the way. I didn't have it on all of the way and learned real quick not to make that mistake again. I had a puddle on my floor. I love that you can put drinks on top and still have access to the cooler. I also love that it makes an extra seat to sit on! It had a handle on each end, but I would have also loved to see a handle that extends so you can roll the cooler around. It gets heavy with the ice. Wipe it out and it cleans up quickly.
