Rated 3 out of 5 by Jam jam james from Moderate use, fabric shreds, no replacemnt canvas I guess everything breaks eventually, I used this about 15 times and had to be a bit gentle. Fabric ripped apart over time. But finally gave up the ghost when it split right down the rail and dumped me on the tent floor. 215lbs 6.1... tough night. Got on to see if there were ever any replacemnt parts canvases ect, but there is not.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lamia from Not durable. Fabric ripped after 2 uses on one, and 5 uses on the second one. Both rips occured near the middle edges. I had health issues and my husband was in a car accident, which put him on disabilty for 9 months. This caused us to not canpas much as we normally do. We had only been able to get out a handful of times since we purchased these 2 yrs ago, they do not warranty them. So instead of Coleman standing behind their products, they tell me im out of luck, and offer me 20% off, to buy something else. Nice.

Started out as a small rip and continued to grow over the years. --I super glued the rip and applied duct taped to help stop the ripped. I even added extra support straps across the bottom so it would rip more. Eventually after three years the rip was so large I gave up and threw it away. Waste of money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by devilpup from Holds up but.... Bought this cot last year for a quick pack and go cot. One thing I don't like about it is the cot doesn't lock into place like most. When you sit on it, it the lower or higher portion of the cot starts to collapse. Personally go with the original style cot used in the military. If it isn't broke don't fix it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Renee from This has everything we wanted This cot is great. It folds out and sets up easily. It is comfortable and has no bars or tension to disturb your sleep. The side table is a wonderful bonus. Have you tried to camp when you need tissue or water by your bed? It also has plenty of room to stow gear underneath. We bought two of these for many reasons, but the fact that you can stand up from it instead of crawl onto the floor before you can stand up is the most important! One caution though: if you slide the cot the legs may not still be directly under the cot. My husband had cot collapse on one end because of this. The most damage was a big surprise, but still not a good one. If you move it around be sure the legs are still in place before you get onto it.

The only complaint is that because there is no mechanism to "lock" the legs in the open position, by the time you wake up in the morning, you're sleeping in a "half pipe" and if you have a bad back like mine you will be in pain. A better option is the Trailhead cot which does have a locking mechanism, although it still stretches it maintains the tension much better. Go with the Trailhead!

Rated 1 out of 5 by JEM1 from Needs locking latches for the end legs. I ordered the Pack-Away Camping Cot with Side Table on 9/9/23 for xxxx plus tax from Coleman website. It arrived on 9/17. It appeared to be repackage (won't let me add photos). I suspected it was a returned/used cot, something I did not think Coleman, a reputable company, would do. I held my breath and hoped for the best. On 9/24, I set the cot up in my living room on a parquet floor. There were no instructions, but I've set up cots before, so no problem. Sets up real easy. The first thing I noticed was that the center section was raised due to the tension which made it setup and take down so easy. You had to sit or push down on the center for the cot to fully open. When you got up, the center section would raise again. And depending how quickly you got up, or released the center section, the ends legs slid to vertical or less than vertical position. Sitting or pushing down on the ends, there was a chance it would collapse. It needs locking latches or something to lock the end legs in place! I do not know how the cot would act outdoors. I'm in my 70s, and seeing I would be using the cot at home on occasion, and most of my floors are wood, I could not take the chance of a fall. Had to return. It cost me $35.30 to return! My mistake! Should have bought on Xxxxxx!

We have 3 of them and one has torn as well after very little use with (our kids) in the past few years. Highly disappointed that this company does not react to the problem and come up with a reasonable solution. At the least a half off replacement canvas.

I recently bought it, and tested it out for one night at my home before I took it camping and it ripped on the first night! I am leaving to camp in 7 days and now i have to invest in another cot. This is truly disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by timeline from Best Base Camp Cot - 250 lb Scouter Have used this for at least 5 years when base camping, for monthly weekend camping and long term camps. Used wooden and aluminum traditional military cots in the past, and pulling the end camps on are way too much a pain. woodend X crosses broke, aluminum bent during use and transport.. Cost was in the same range as previous cots. I unzip the carry bag, slip the cot out, drop down the sides, expand it a bit, flip it over and simiply streatch out fabric over end caps. Taking it apart is just as simple.

I use a self inflating mat on top and the quality of sleep is perfect while tent camping. Easy to set up and take down. I don’t use the side table since I have something else I use as a bedside table. I’m a large person and a side sleeper. This is a great product in my opinion

Then it happen, last week the center cross brace fractured and it collapsed. This is a great product, I just wore it out. I do wish I could get a replacement part to swap, Coleman website doesn't offer this item, or do they?

Unfortunately it ripped near the joint seam on the very first use and needed patching before we could even actually use it for camping this year. Disappointing for sure.

Stay away from this cot after owning for two years I've had to repair the fabric due to it not being reenforced on the framework. Second the center supporting leg broke during normal use. The cot was not overloaded as I only weigh 200 lbs. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COT YOU'LL BE DISAPPOINTED.

This is a comfortable cot that even has a drink holder. I've used this for camping or throw it in the car when visiting relatives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sheena from Canada from So easy to set-up I purchase 3 of these cots last summer and they have held up well. I did find that the metal bar would catch me behind my knee so I added a 2" Gel Memory foam for a Twin XL bed and that did the trick. A very comfortable sleep!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Abdul M Gill from Doesn't lock in open state, can collapse on you. Unlike most of the other cots, it doesn't lock in place when opened fully. So it is collapsing VERY easily as you move it around or sit on it. I couldn't cope with it and returned mine.
