It is the perfect size for a no build mini van camper......providing a comfortable sleeping space, room for storage underneath and plenty of room left over in the van for other items such as more storage bins, porta potty, cooler/refrig, back up battery, porta sink, deco tent, etc.....and doggie items if you travel with your pet. I would certainly recommend this cot for anyone camping in a van or a tent because of the quality and size.....and for an extra bed at home if company comes.

The design is practical and ergonomic, allowing for a quick setup and fold-down process. I am impressed by the high-quality materials, as the steel frame feels incredibly strong and provides great safety and stability throughout the night. Additionally, the fabric is durable and makes the cleaning process very simple—a quick wipe down is usually all it needs after a camping trip. I needed a sleep platform to camp in my older SUV (the rear seats do not fold down flat like modern cars) and I didn't want to do a custom build. This cot was the right height, and the legs flip in so I can flip one end up to account for the slope from the folded rear seats to the back of the car and have it be level. Folds up easy so it is a quick set up and stores easily. The measurements provided in the Coleman listing were key in my choosing this cot given the limited space I had to deal with. The mattress is basic and I won't be using it for camping BUT when I am not camping it provides a nice extra bed for company. Note- it is only 69 inches long so won't accommodate a very tall person but great for most women and kids. I am very happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jacka15 from convenient This has to be the most convenient thing I own in my house. I know it’s technically a bed that’s portable for camping, but we don’t camp. But for in my house it’s wonderful. The memory foam mattress is actually extremely comfortable. I’m transitioning my toddler into sleeping in his own room and of course he’s not a fan. But I can pull that cot bed out and put it next to their bunk bed so he feels like he’s still sleeping with me, let him fall asleep and boom!! Momma has her bed back that night lol. We use it in the living room to kick back and watch movies on. Or even if we have extra guests we have an extra foldaway bed for them to use that is actually comfortable to sleep on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kvstr80 from Doesn’t last I have several of these. After about 3 years, the fabric started to rip and springs would fall off since the fabric was torn and tension was reduced. Finally, after 4 total years, the fabric tore so bad that it was unusable. I contacted customer support about ordering a replacement section of fabric, hoping I could save some money, instead of paying the exorbitant price they charge for a new cot. In my mind, $25-30 for a new sheet of fabric would be much more easy to swallow than $100 for a whole new cot, being that the frame was still in great shape. Nope. They did offer 20% off for a new one after I whined about it to them. I was in a pinch so I just went ahead and did that. But I wasn’t happy about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jahquis from Great compact sleeping cot! I was very lucky to receive the Coleman Ridgeline III Camping Cot. It is in the middle of winter at the moment, so I am unable to test this cot out while camping. I however, tested the cot out in my living room. First, this cot is incredibly lightweight and compact. You can easily put this cot in small spaces like under a bed or in a closet for storage. This cot will easily fit in the trunk of any vehicle for easy transport for camping. Additionally, this cot is extremely comfortable as I have fallen asleep on it a few times. It is a good size as it can accommodate a person up to six feet two inches tall. The process to set up and take down is very quick and painless. I would highly recommend this product to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CTDluna from Comfortable and easy to use Bought three of these. One for my sister to use inside her Toyota Sienna for overnight travel trips. She loves it, says it is very comfortable! The other two are for me and my husband car tent camping. I added sleep mats under the mat that comes with the cot for extra comfort. We have tried several other cots and this is by far the best, and we are tall I’m 5’10” and he is 6’2”. It is great to be up off the ground while still enjoying the fresh air sleeping in a tent. Highly recommend! And they are easy to fold and unfold, and fit flat in the back of our suv.

Here is how to lock the Ridgeline&trade; III Camping Cot with Foam Sleeping Pad into place

1. Unfold the cot from its collapsed state 

2. Swing out the legs until they are fully extended and the frame is flat on the ground. Ensure each leg is fully seated and aligned.

3. Place it on flat, stable ground so all legs touch evenly.

3. If the cot includes the foam sleeping pad under the cot or mounted on top, add that per the instructions. 

4. Once you lie on the cot, your weight helps engage the frame and legs into a stable position. If you feel some rocking or instability:

5. Recheck that all legs are fully extended and no hinge is partially folded, and check that the cot is on level ground.

6. Make sure the canvas/sheet is properly tensioned, and sidebars, crossbars are fully seated.

Tips &amp; precautions

-Don&rsquo;t forcefully lean on the edges when the cot is being set up; ensure full extension first.

-Avoid dragging the cot while someone is on it, since without a full load, the legs may pivot/unlock.

-If you feel the legs are slipping, check that no dirt or debris is preventing them from fully seating.

- A slight misalignment can reduce stability.

If you plan to use this on a soft surface (grass, sand) make sure the legs have full support. Uneven terrain may make one leg sink and allow movement.
