Ive probably slept on this here Coleman cot for 30 campings trips and music festivals. Using the cot is a wonderful way to stay off the ground and avoid rocks. Inside my Coleman 3-person tent, it created a lovely little living space for me to sleep in; with my Coleman sleeping bag of course ;). Setting it up is very simple, as well as breaking it down and putting it back in the sleeve to store. Be careful while opening and closing the scissor mechanism frame, as fingers are prone to pinching/injury. the material stretched across the frame was durable for the first 10-15 uses; however, it did begin to rip away/shred from the stitching that binds it to the frame, in the middle section. my average weight over the last 30 uses is 190 lbs. website claims it can support up to 300lbs so I can't imagine me weight being too much of a stress to the material. Overall a great product, I'm here on the website to buy another of the exact same one; saw the comments and felt like adding to the experience. wish it didn't start to deteriorate on me after a few years but I loved this darn heavy cot and I'm back for another. 8.5/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by Simple Advice on This One from Use a "Wrecker Bar" for Ease of Assembly There are two chief complaints about this cot in these reviews: it ripped after only a few uses, and it's impossible to assemble. Actually, the two are related because the people whose cots ripped are the ones who gave up trying to assemble it and slept on it without pulling both support bars tight, which is serviceable. But with the fabric only loosely wrapped around the frame without the crossbars, it's easy to tear it on the steel frame when you shift your weight in the night. Not so once the end bars are in place. Then the fabric's so tight you can bounce quarters off it. I'm telling you: assemble the cot properly, and it's never going to rip. Therein lies the problem -- how to get those end bars in place. Trying to put them in by hand can seem impossible -- especially when the cot is brand new and the fabric has never been stretched before. As one reviewer said, you can have several people pulling with all their might and never get anywhere. My sympathies go out! Salvation comes in the form of a handy little device called a "wrecker bar," which is really just a small crowbar -- a flat steel bar with a curved end about the size of a large hammer. You can probably pick one up for a couple bucks at any hardware store. If you put one peg of the crossbar in place and insert the pry bar between the other end of the crossbar and the frame, you can lever the 2nd peg into place easily by yourself. Just watch your fingers!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lisascot from Leg buster frame, good dimensions, has held up I bought this one off amazon 3 years ago. It has held up well to daily use, but I've only put it together and taken apart twice. I would not have been able to put it up the first time even if I hadn't come across a review that said to stand on the bottom rail and then pull the top in place. I got this to replace an Adventuridge cot that had finally given way after many years of daily use. When it did there was slim pickings of available cots due to the time of year. I collapsed and unfolded the Adventuridge one daily, this one I just flip upright to get it out of the way. My beef with this cot is the protuding pieces of rail on opposite corners. First of all, when putting it together it looks as though you did something wrong. But it's supposed to look like that. I put some empty plastic bottles over those rail pieces after reading people who had run into them. Well, over the years I did run into them twice ... and I still have a dent in my calf to prove it. They could provide a foam sleeve with some kind of attachment to prevent this. I bought this cot for the dimensions and height off the floor. The length just fit the space I had available and you can use twin size sheets and blankets with it. Another plus vs.the competition at the time was that it's more than a few inches tall. If I want to get close to the spiders on the floor I'll let those other cot designers know. This one is very heavy and I would not recommend it for backpacking. Car camping it should be fine. I can not speak to current production quality but the ones from 2022 are good and lasting.
