Rated 2 out of 5 by Grant from This tent cannot stand up to the wind or rain! I was out camping with my family and a storm came up. Not really a bad storm, just 15-20 mph and a lot of rain. One entire end of the tent collapsed and despite moving the guy lines and trying to tighten them up, it kept collapsing. The wind also blew rain up and over the walls into the tent under the fly and the seams leaked. I'm just glad I was sleeping on a cot and not on the floor. For a $350 tent you would at least expect it to not fall down During fair weather, the tent is fine, but during foul weather this tent is terrible. I'm actually considering getting rid of this tent after just one summer and getting something different.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 2blight from Terrific in theory, failure in function The darkroom technology does make the tent feel cooler and blocks the light. Unfortunately, the coating rubs off on hard surfaces including the hub for the tent poles. Keep anything hard away from the sides, as blowing wind will cause the material to rub up against it (maybe cover the tent pole hub with something). The instant set-up is fast and convenient, especially for a 10-person tent. However, the slightest breeze will cause the poles to fall, collapsing the tent. You must keep the rain fly on and the guy lines straight to maintain the integrity of the tent. This cannot double as a stand-alone screen room; it needs the rain fly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jess8643 from False advertisement This dark room technology is the worst. In fact I'm pretty sure it's even hotter than any other tent we have ever owned. It was used once and already has holes in the fabric. The title says instant tent and it is most definitely not instant you have to set up poles and hook everything together. We used to have an actual instant tent from Coleman and loved it but it eventually broke. I was excited to use this new one but after one camping trip I'm over it already. I'm frustrated that I paid a lot of money for something that is not what it says. Not instant and for sure not cooler with dark room technology.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kricket from Leaked even with waterproofing! Bought for camping trips around Michigan. Spacious enough to fit a pack n play and a queen air mattress with room to spare. We wanted extra space for the kid to play around in on wet days. Well I didn't realize she would be playing in puddles INSIDE the tent! We waterproofed it ourselves because of experience. We had a heavy rainfall and put a tarp over the tent and still woke up with puddles surrounding our bed and our stuff being soaked. The quality is just not there. We could see daylight thru the seams and zippers. We like how easy it is to set up and take down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotchvtrk from Great tent We have used this tent 4 times so far. I’m able to set it up by myself although it would be easier with 2 people. Really easy Set up. I did set it up on a windy day 40 mph +. And had some trouble with the rods buckling in during setup, as expected. After the rain fly was installed and few windows were opened it was completely fine. In the morning we’re were able to sleep in past 9:00, so the sun was not an issue thanks to the darkroom tech. I’m completely satisfied with this tent so far.

Rated 1 out of 5 by schwa1 from NOT YOUR GRANDFATHER'S COLEMAN! IT's JUNK!!!! On the 4th setup of this tent one of the screws made if tin gave way and broke. It tried to order the part but Coleman doesn't stock it. So off to Home Depot. Luckily I was able to fashion a machine screw and lock nut to fix it. While folding it up after fixing the first one another gave way. Glad I bought extras. Really a shame because Coleman used to make awesome quality gear. I still use some of my grandpa's he purchased in the 1960's. To bad you ruined you brand trying to save a buck Coleman. This is the last of your products I will purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by iwishiwasdry from Terrible Design! Terrible terrible design. The rain fly is short that rain drips onto the window areas and seeps through the zippers. Whenever you open one of the doors a bunch of rain collected on the fly dumps down into the tent. The zippers for the doors get caught on the flaps easily. I understand the design point of the flaps is to help keep rain out, but they're rendered useless because rain dumps in anyway. When I pay this much for a tent I expect it to be roomy and dry. Complete and total disappointment after using good Coleman products in the past.

Rated 1 out of 5 by PNW tent camper from Dark Room is cool The Dark Room technology is really pretty cool, but this tent is unable to withstand even light rain. Thankfully we tried it in the back yard, otherwise it would have been a long wet night. The rainfly keeps the top dry, but water runs off of it down onto the walls of the tent and through the zippers, seems, and walls. We live in the Pacific northwest, so the chance of rain is ever present. If you could guarantee no rain, then this tent is just fine, otherwise, I would stay away from it.
