Rated 2 out of 5 by T Barr from Long term review Would first like to address the "dark technology" the rain fly and the windows are black out. The rest is plain tent material. This was a rather larg disappointment upon set up. Took this tent to the tetons and this year to the Olympic national park. We had interment to constant medium rain all the way to to the tetons. While at the Olympic national parked had one night of medium rain. This last iteration of rain was Disastrous. We had water coming in in at all the seams. The underside of the rain fly was soaked. I would consider this a disposable tent at best. I give it two stars for ease of set up. The darkness was a disappointment as well as it's water resistance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NismoZXT from Great for car camping for 3 I bought this for my two young sons and I to go camping with our Trail Life troop. It fits the three of us quite well with most of our stuff in the tent and water proof stuff out in the "screen room". In a pinch we can fit three adult camp chairs in the screen room for a bug free meal. I would be able to have more space in the tent if I packed more efficiently or left some stuff in the car, but I do not have a need to when it is just the 3 of us. We had a few rain showers on our recent camping trip and the boys were able to stand in the screen room against the tent without getting rained on (subject to the direction the rain is falling). No rain came through the seams or zippers, and the screen room's mesh strip in the floor allowed the rain to drain out with just very minor pooling. It is GREAT to have a "mud room" that is screened off from the bugs where you can take off your shoes before getting into the tent itself. I suggest putting a towel just inside the tent flap to store the shoes after stepping out of them in the screen room. The dark room fly absolutely keep the tent cooler than the outside, especially if you are not fortunate enough to have shade from trees. I was able to take an early afternoon nap without a problem thanks to the dark room fly. Cross ventilation is okay, but having 1 whole side that is a screen under the fly makes it a little hard to control the airflow. The tent is very easy to set up and break down. I am able to do it by myself if necessary with little trouble. I'm 6'1" and can stand at full height in the middle of tent. I have received many comments on having the screen room and how great it is. If Coleman makes a 10 person dark room with a screen room, I will purchase it in a heart beat. The photos don't show the darkness well because of auto white balancing, but it is considerably darker with the fly.

First the screenroom needs to have a larger rain fly my sceenroom was always flooded. Second the main tent pole is not removable which makes packing up difficult.

So had up this past weekend and noticed the black material in the tent and on the rainfly was coming of at an alarming rate. It looks like a horror seen from the inside. Thankfully it did not rain. This is a terrible flaw. Sorry Coleman company but this is unacceptable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Stell from Not as durable The Carlsband 6 person tent This was for a weekend away the pros was easy set up and packing. Dark room worked well on a sunny day taking out most of sun, from inside you would think it was a cloudy day . When wind picked up bought all wind inside the tent too making the nights very cold whatever I done to try to fix the fly overhead to fix the problem to no avail same both nights. Screen room the bottom tarp can trip over with the wind lifting middle up nothing to secure only on sides. I wouldn’t recommend this tent on a wet day either a little drizzle and wetness inside tent. Overall Very disappointed with this design and poorly made especially on first attempt with this tent.

I loved that this has a “porch” to store or drop shoes and dirty items so they’re not dragged into the main sleeping chamber. Sadly, I found out the disadvantage this past weekend when we were met with a torrential overnight downpour. While I stayed cozy, the front “porch” area, with only screen mesh “doors,” was soaked through, and everything I had set in there, even under the cover of the roof, was also soaked. Next time I’ll take an extra tarp to cover the area. There was also some leakage in the front two corners of the main chamber where it attached to the porch. Still love the heavy-duty aspect of this tent but would be cautious in rainy weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jacquie from Cute and affordable I bought this tent for a one week getaway and truly enjoyed my home away from home. I am a hard person to impress, but Coleman did just that. I loved that I was able to sleep in, loved the space and enjoyed the screen porch. Please make a cover for the screen porch so it stays dry when it ta rains. Even with this drawback I enjoyed this tent. Looking forward to using it for this year's camping trip. Kudos Coleman!
