Rated 5 out of 5 by Amille from 24 Years So Far I spent $80 on one of these tents 24 years ago & still use it. When my kids were old enough to camp, I let them use this tent because it was so easy to set up. I just bought each of them their own. This humble tent has survived regular use in all 4 seasons of the Michigan & Wisconsin North woods. It has not let water in yet despite some impressive rain storms, though I do waterproof it every few years. I think I used seam sealer on it once or twice. Its all stained up from years of leaves, sap, pine needles, occasionally being wet in the bag for a week, but I think of it as patina. The floor has never torn, nor has the canvas. It even still smells ok inside. For $80.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Adam205 from Broken pole I love the look of this tent and has been happy with previous Coleman purchases. I bought this tent to introduce my girls to camping. I set it up after receiving it to apply a waterproofing agent to the fabric. I packed it up after drying and when I went to set up the tent a few weeks later for backyard camping, the elastic cord that holds the section together of one of the poles had split. This left me without a needed tent pole and no camping. Now I am looking at having to either purchase a replacement pole or looking elsewhere for a different tent. Has Coleman had other issues reported with the elastic cording?

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sunny W. from 1 person tent if you're 5'9" and over. Not 3 person as advertised. If you are over 5'9", the only way you're going to sleep comfortably in this tent is if you lay your Coleman twin size single height air mattress diagonally across, or your head and feet will be pushing on the tent wall. This pretty much turns this "3 person tent" into a 1 person tent, unless you have 2 babies with you sleeping on a blanket or something. If you are short, this will work fine with 2 twin air mattresses (which will fill up the entire tent floor, so you won't have room for anything else). Overall, poor experience. Get yourself a 4 person or 6 person tent if you need to sleep more than 1 person.

Rated 5 out of 5 by A Montana kid from Coleman tent, over 20 years later I am camped out in a tent that is older than I am, it's a coleman. I have always been a big fan of coleman gear. It has stood the test of time, and the gear produced by Coleman is consistently high quality. It has a nostalgic feel for me, it reminds me of childhood and there are iconic pieces of gear that have remained the same high quality since I was a kid. I took a picture inside my tent I thought was cool. I was thinking this tent is a 4-person, but it's definitely smaller than 7x7. It's been a solid refuge for me while I've been camped out, and with a little silicone spray to reseal the waterproofing, some seam glue, and a couple patches it has kept me dry.

I had it on two camping trips total in 2021 and just brought it on the third trip for Memorial Day weekend this year. Two parts broke on that trip: one of the metal connectors at the end of the pole, and one of the plastic clips on the tent that hooks onto the poles. Just my luck, I was just one month out of the 12 month warranty period when it broke. All Coleman offered was a 20% off coupon which I personally would not spend more on a Coleman tent if I'm only going to get 3 uses out of it.

Dark Room really makes a difference only light inside once zipped up comes from the tub ground sheet and the sides of the fly sheet, it also feels a lot cooler inside. If you don't assemble it properly, then yes, light will get through. But it's not difficult seeing how this style of tent is pretty much the norm. I have 2 other tents that go up the same way this one does. I also provided a pic of the roof open as a couple of reviews complained of no ventilation. like what? I wished I had gotten the next size up so I had more space, but other than that, I'm very satisfied. Overall, great tent
