Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn’t hold ice as advertised Bought this cooler last Thursday 6/9, I prechilled it all Thursday night. Friday morning 6/10, I added 20lbs of ice and some cans to test it out. This cooler is sitting in our garage in the shade. Garage temp is 85-90 degrees. In 24hrs a significant amount of ice was melted. 48 hrs later, the ice is nearly all melted. I have attached photos for evidence. I guess you could say it “holds” ice for 5 days. But at 5 days there might be a single ice cube left. Who knows, maybe I should have started with 40lbs of ice instead. Disappointed to say the least. I was really hoping this would last longer. But I guess what do I expect for 48$

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weekend cooler I got this off amazon in navy blue. We had this thing filled to the brim 3/4 with food and 1/4 ice for a 3 day camp trip. When we got home to unload the cooler there was still plenty of ice in the bottom. I also bought one of those cheap battery motion sensing light to stick on the inside lid so I could find my beers in the dark. This works great!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from holding ice We bought cooler on Thursday July 2nd, selling point was retains ice for 5 days 90 degree weather...pre cooled as suggested ,Friday added 48 cold cans to small amt ice/water & 20 lbs. Ice . Had to add Ice again on Saturday( 24 cold cans then 20 lbs.ice).. Sunday maybe a qt glass full of ice left.It was the Extreme Coleman 70 qt. 100 can ! Extremely disappointed 50 lbs of ice latter...suppose to last 5 days with proper pre cooling We kept in the shade & even kept a quilt over it .....Very disappointed ,it wasn't any better than our old cheaper cooler ! we paid $90 for for your Extreme ! The only numbers I see (on label) are as follows ; 20160624 58844010052434 ....if the ice would've at least lasted 3 days ...we probably wouldn't have made this review !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black cooler works surprisingly well, easy to mod! I've had the black 5 for over a year now and I'm surprised. I bought the black version to match my boat and the ice stays surprisingly cool for days after. I've had it loaded with ice, forgot about it, came back about 4 days later and the ice was still there and cold. This cooler is also extremely easy to mod. I've added stainless strap holders, 1inch rubber feet, upgraded to stainless hinges, and added bottle openers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Cooler at fair price I picked up this cooler in Fairbanks Alaska to bring home a Caribou and I picked up 100lbs of processed meat, steaks and hamburger and all organic and it fit with good packing. It tool 20 hours to fly home. In that time even with TSA taking all my meat out and inspecting it when I returned home is was still frozen. Even the handles were still on when it came out onto the baggage carousel. Yes this cooler is a great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value for your buck ! I've used this , when the power goes out from storms and hurricanes . I have alot of blue ice that I use and it last longer than regular ice . I have enough for this Coleman 70Q extreme and the freezer . I also use it for beer and have kept crushed ice for 7 days , by putting new blue ice from the freezer on top the crushed ice , every day . During storms when the power may be out for weeks , I use mostly blue Ice which I can depend on longer and bring a refill from work , after a week . Walmart has good deals on these Coleman coolers and you are getting alot for your money ! when I say blue ice I mean ice substitute gel , which they call it today . before a storm ,you can freeze 2 liter bottles of water , which also last longer than crushed ice . this cooler has served me well and outperforms my 20 year old cooler, of another brand . will purchase another one soon and for the price , nothing beats coleman .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This cooler is Boss! We have owned this cooler for about 3 years now it works flawlessly every time on multiple day trips even up to six days camping! I put ice blocks/packs on the bottom before I store the goods,when we get back home those blocks are still frozen. It's like a a little fridge. It's my best cooler, and doesn't cost $400 :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed We purchased this cooler to transport our refrigerator and freezer items from Tennessee to Georgia in June. The items were heacvily iced, cooler secured shut, and were only in the cooler approximately 12 hours. When we went to transfer our food from the cooler to the refrigerator, we found all the ice had melted and our food was warm, which required refrigeration. We lost a lot of money because of this cooler!
