We were on a 5 day camping trip with my son, his wife and 2 grand daughters first meal hamburger and hot dogs, the grill actually burnt up. We had a protable coleman grill for 20 years now and it finally dies we bought this one and the first night it caught on fire.....now we had to go to store buy carcoal and cook over campfire ring, kind of hard on Grandpa's back.....so disappointed in the quality of this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by snowsims146 from HONEST REVIEW! This is a great for grilling on the right and heating up something in a pot on the left. Its lightweight, easy to use, and cooks fast! PLEASE READ: Most of these people who gave this a bad review because the grate on the right melted, don't know how to read directions. It specifically states on the cover not to put a pot over the grate on the right. You cook right on the grill on the right side of the Grill/Stove. The right is great for cooking burgers/steak/chicken/bacon/etc.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Campgirl from Nice job I bought this stove because I wanted one side to be able to put my coffee pot or a pan and the other side to cook food. It worked well. It is easy to light. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star is that the temperature is a little hard to regulate. However, I think I will get used to it the more I use it. I also think the previous reviewers who put pots and pans on the griddle side contributed to the melting. I do not think you are supposed to do that. I had no trouble with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bcountry from Almost the perfect stove. Only if it had a Griddle This is almost the perfect stove for my needs. I can't camp anymore because I'm disabled but my family and I still love to go to the Lake and cook dinner by a fire for a few hours just to be outside in nature as much as possible yet still be able to go home and sleep in my own bed. This 2 in 1 stove is great for burgers and a pot of Bushes beans. DO Not put anything but food on the grill part or it will melt. It's aluminum, not cast iron. All the reviews you see with melted grills is because someone put a pan or something on the grill and it melts. ONLY put food on the grill and it will be fine. The only thing that makes me mad is that Coleman stopped making the griddle for this stove. Otherwise it would be the perfect camp stove. Don't bother contacting Coleman about the griddle either. They really don't care. People have been asking for a Griddle for years now and Coleman could care less.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Grill melted severely under medium heat. This was only the second time I was using the grill portion of the stove. I was cooking a single pound of bacon in two batches with an aluminum griddle on top of the grate. This was at medium or lower heat as the bacon was not burning or cooking to fast and the heat was not on for an unusually long time. The griddle did not warp and it was not blocking the entire grill surface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JA66 from Affordable and works great when used as it is inte This little unit works exactly as it should, I’ve read a few reviews of customers complaining that the grill melted when they placed a pot or pan on it but if they took the time to read the instructions they would know not to put them on the grill. It’s a grill for grilling! If they used it as it was intended for they would not have any problems. They should just stick to the two burner camping stove if that is what the purpose is for! I love mine and have had no issue at all since I read the instructions and use it for the purpose it was made for. Great product Coleman! I recommend this unit for anyone who is interested in a stove with a GRILL!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ron699 from Not like the old Coleman quality This is a great design having both a burner and grill all-in-one but it has many flaws. Very thin metal for starters. The threaded brass screw attachment for hooking the propane wand from tank to grill is too short making it somewhat difficult to screw onto the grill. The grill does not have a spark igniter so you must remove the cast iron piece to light the burner. No big deal except when the main flame blows out and you have to relight the burner. Now you have a hot grill with food on it that has to be removed to relight. Also, the cast iron grill feet should mount into holes in the base to keep it more secure. The cast iron slides very easy and can tip when not careful flipping a burger, etc. Bottom line, great design but somebody who built it never took it camping and used it.
